Globalism is based on slave labor in China which creates imbalances in the global system. Sustainable? -

Wanting to eliminate flouride from the water doesn't make you a weirdo, especially considering that flouride is one of the most toxic chemicals known to man. Even though they claim small amounts are "safe" it is a policy worth reviewing. -

I felt better about Trump when RFK joined, because RFK is the only politician who gives me the feeling that he really cares and he is very smart, knows the government like the back of his hand, and has specific plans for regulatory reform. -

I think that the current politics is a negation of the idealism of the hippies. The hippies only lasted a few years and the movement was destroyed by Charles Manson. The current Western establishment, including the democratic party, are neoliberal capitalists in favor of forever wars to secure their power and privileges. This is exactly the opposite of the old left that opposed the Vietnam war and the old 60s liberals who believed in tolerance and free speech. -
I have done over 50 ceremonies and I recommend it for people starting out. Having people around and someone to help you reduces anxiety and fear. But, if you want to take a deep dive it can be limiting. I have attended ceremonies with noise cancelling headphones which cuts out most of the noise and distractions and provides the space I need to go deep.

Nicotine was put on the F list. But I have used rapeh (peruvian snuff) towards the end of a mushroom journey and it is powerful putting me into deep states of meditation. Be very careful though.

Robert Kennedy endorsed Trump and Kennedy is a rational thinker. In an interview Kennedy said Trump was more likely to support his proposed regulatory reforms and he wouldn’t have a chance with Harris. I believe that Kennedy’s MAHA (make America healthy again) movement is important. It addresses big pharma and a food industry that is destroying the health of the people. Ironically, if Trump gives Kennedy real power, a Trump administration could end up making real progressive reforms that are far more important than the democratic party’s obsession with marginal issues of sexual identity. -
I looked at his bio on his web page and it appears that he has studied the healing songs from Peru. "Hello I am Larimar, a complementary therapist based in London UK that specialises in the use of vocal harmonics and musical instruments for Relaxation, Healing, Shamanic Journey, Inspiration of Inner Vision and Empowerment. I offer one to one Sound Healing, group Sound Baths and Sound Meditations in person as well as online. My fascination with music and sound begun in my early childhood when I heard my voice being played back to me on a cassette, hearing my own voice coming out of a speaker absolutely blew my mind. Imagine hearing your own voice played back for the first time ever! Amazed by this experience I started recording stories that were playing out in my mind as a little kid on a tape recorder that was gifted to me by my grandmother. This led to playing around on my mother’s old guitar, then to jamming with friends in the local park all the way to writing and recording music in my home studio. In 2010 I was introduced to the plant medicine called Ayahuasca, a key moment in my live that led me onto the path of healing and the study of Shamanism, Systematic Kinesiology, Neurokinetic Therapy and Reiki. Spending many years holding plant medicine ceremonies, I have observed, witnessed and studied the healing abilities of music and song, especially when coupled with intention. I was particularly touched and inspired by the healing songs ( Icaros ) of the Shipibo people from Peru. In parallel, during my long-time practice of Capoeira ( an Afro- Brazilian art form combining martial arts, music and philosophy ), I begun to notice similarities in its ritualistic use of rhythm and singing and the effects it had on my well- being. The time had finally come to formally study Sound Healing at the Sound Healing Academy in 2016 under Tony Nec, opening the doors to conducting Sound Baths for our South West London community and corporate companies such as Dropbox, the Beaverbrook Hotel, Sanctuary Spa and the Travers Smith Law Firm. Sound Healing is an easily accessible and very effective form of complementary therapy that yields profound results in helping people restore well-being. Through the therapeutic application of vocals and instruments a state of deep relaxation can be achieved. In this state of meditative awareness not only stress and stored emotions are released, but also harmony and clarity can be restored." https://larimarsound.com/about

Davino, yes I am aware of the Icaros. I did a plant diet with a shaman in the Amazon. It's the same principle. They are using the human voice to guide the journey along with a rhythm with drums or rattles to put one into an altered state of consciousness .

Some claim we are in the Kali Yuga where spiritual knowledge is very low. It is just getting worse with the worldwide acceptance of materialism. But ultimately civilization can’t function without making the unconscious conscious. If material values are the most important, then corruption makes perfect sense. -

Something like this happened to me on Bufo Alvarius. Your body is doing pranayama. When you think of it the ancient Rishis must have discovered these techniques while in deep altered states of consciousness. -

It's speculation. Some have suggested Judaism came from India: Brahman -> Abraham, Saraswati -> Sarah. -

Jesus central teaching was "love your neighbor as you love yourself". You can do that without all the theology or belief in a saviour. You can follow that teaching and be a Buddhist or an atheist. -

It was Paul that defined the theology. Paul's letters (or epistles) provide much of the theological framework for how early Christian communities understood Jesus' message. His writings delve into themes like grace, faith, salvation, and the role of the law, which became central to Christian doctrine. The idea of the “Christ” that saves souls comes from Paul. Paul never met or knew Jesus, but according to the New Testament, he saw a vision of “Christ”. This is the concept the excites Christians. Of course, there are also the moral teachings of Jesus included in the New Testament. -

Buddha's teachings are encoded in the theravada tradition. The idea of a bodisattva comes from the later tradition of mahayana, which the Buddha didn't teach. -

The New Testament is mostly Paul's system. If one of your strands believes in an entity called "Christ" that has the ability so save believers than it isn't from the teachings of Jesus. If you believe "do to others as you would do to yourself" than it would be from the Jesus teachings, but Buddha said basically the same thing. -
Jodistrict replied to Rafael Thundercat's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
No Jesus didn't teach christianity. Jesus never taught metaphysical principles. Christianity is largely an invention of Paul. Jesus wouldn't have any idea of what christianity is and would probably say "What the fuck?". -

Keep in mind that there is no proof that Jesus ever existed. There is a consensus among bible scholars that he did exist, but their opinions are highly self-biased. Furthermore, if he existed, Jesus was not a Christian. The "Christ" is a metaphysical concept, that this metaphysical entity "Christ" will enter your heart and save you if you just believe in it. -
That's the illusion they believe in.

Sure, you have the Tibetan Lama that meditates in a cave for a year in the dead of winter and melts the snow with his energy generated from meditation. You aren’t likely to find that in the West. On the other hand, India has a talent for generating some of the most entertaining fake gurus around. -

Falling for scoundrels is part of the spiritual path. -

I have been there. It is a real mindfuck. But I learned that it is a mutual contract. The deceived want to be deceived and the leader is a vampire sucking their energy for his own ego inflation. I used it as a spiritual device to look inside myself to find that part of me that wants to be deceived so it can be liberated and pray for the awakening of my intuition. -

I am all in favor of the government investigating cults and protecting people from being abused. If Sadhguru turns out to be a scoundrel then let him pay the price. I have had personal contact with some of these sham religious leaders with their egos full of deviltry, so I recognize the need for prosecutorial oversight. -

The recent attack on Hezbollah by Israel made my realize that none of us really has a clue of what is going on. You couldn’t have predicted this from anything in the mainstream or alternate media. The information on the media is very bad quality. As for the causes, the most accurate thing that can be said is that these are groups of people processing their mutual karma. We spend a lot of time trying to understand a situation we have no control over. Another good reason to get off social media. -

The starting point is the vast knowledge of the East where they approached spirituality as a subjective science. Western religion never developed the scientific precision of the East. The Yoga Sutras outlines any spiritual path. The problem with the Eastern approach is the time it takes. If you had gone to Adi Shankaracharya in the middle ages and asked him to teach you Advaita Vedanta, he would of said you weren’t ready and you would have to do service in hopes of being qualified to learn Vedanta in the next lifetime. The qualifications to even be permitted to learn the knowledge were very high. So you didn’t have any immature silly people running around claiming they are god. The question is if we can use tools such as psychedelics to cut down the time it takes to get into deeper states of awareness.
