They should run Robert Kennedy, Jr. But the primary system is rigged against anyone not approved by the party bosses. It is not a democratic system and they deserve to lose. With Nancy Pelosi voting until her death in her 90s, the US government is turning into a nursing home. A sign of a decaying system controlled by big doners and not the people. In a vigorous, healthy democracy you would have literally dozens or maybe hundreds of highly qualified candidates in their 40s. -
Your observations are accurate. It’s way harder than it seems. I learned this when I went to the Amazon to do a plant diet for two weeks. A real shaman will do a plant diet for thirty days. He will go to an isolated spot in the jungle and take powerful plant medicines to purge and purify his body and mind. He will be vomiting every day for 30 days. Only at the end of thirty days, will he take the ayahuasca. His preparation is the equivalent of an intensive meditation retreat. Also, in the West we have the additional problem that we are left-brain dominated. Your brain is being damaged when you look at a computer screen all day. We are extremely unbalanced in our perception. We have to learn to perceive again with our senses and the right brain. One way to do this is with a Dark Retreat. That is where you live in total darkness for one week. A damaged receiver can't receive. The element that is missing is detoxification – of both body and mind. Taking a magic pill that works without any effort is pure fantasy.

One thing I have learned here is how quickly non-duality can turn into another dogma, not dissimilar from fundamentalist Christianity where people parrot their favorite Bible versus. My teachers are people I have a personal relationship with. I have had an opportunity to observe them and thus know that they are the embodiment of their teachings. Nevertheless, the forum is a valuable resource. It depends on us to use it wisely. The technology itself is just the technology. If the content is weak, it’s up to us to post with good intentions. -

Online University is the solution to the high price of college now which is really a scam on young people. When Coursera first came out and was free I took several dozen courses and they were all excellent. I took some courses that I had taken in university and Coursera was way better. They can get the best teachers in the country to teach the courses, and use online computer tools to enhance the learning. AI learning is also going to be huge. It's the perfect technology to break the University's monopoly. -

The second noble truth says that there is an end to suffering. This was the Buddha's greatest discovery. Here is a talk by Shinzen "Pain without suffering" -
Jodistrict replied to ItsNick's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
Having pain doesn’t mean you are suffering. Pain is a sensation. All suffering IS psychological. Shinzen often uses the formula: Suffering = Resistance x Pain. Resistance is the sense that you can’t stand it and want it too end. If Resistance = 0, then by the equation Suffering = 0. But the resistance goes deep into the unconscious mind. That’s why it takes years of meditation practice to root out resistance at the deeper levels. A good practice for exploring pain and suffering is strong determination sitting. -

A Zen master would be aware of the bat before it even made contact. That's why samuri warriors trained in Zen. Using meditation to master pain has a long history. -

I'm not sure about that. When I was studying with him, he would go to the dentist and request no novocaine because he wanted to experience the delicious flavors of sensation. -

He did a sun dance, where you dance in the sun for 3 days, and then after, they put two knives in your breasts and hang you from a tree. He has taught many HIV patients to live with pain. -
I’m not defending his past behavior. I don’t listen to his show and actually don’t know much about him. I am mainly concerned about the free speech implications. Not only has he been dropped from YouTube, but the British government sent a letter to Rumble asking to shut him down. Thus, free speech is an issue here as a result of mere allegations going back more than a decade that were brought up by his competitors. If people are censored for being naughty, the entire mainstream media would have to close shop. As for rape allegations, they are allegations. The rape allegations against Julian Assange were eventually dropped. As for Russell Brand, no formal charges have been brought by the judicial system. So if they are brought that would be a separate issue.
-
They weren’t bothered by Russel Brand when he was living the life of a hedonist fool. Some of the allegations go back to 2003. His media accusers couldn’t care less about his behavior. But when he started to challenge the powers that be, it was time to remove him. Could it be that he is being punished for starting the process of waking up?
-
I want to get on a rocket ship and merge with God. Is it ok if I do it in my car?
-
I don’t know. The purpose of the allegations is to get the social media mob to narrow its focus on the target and spend days of their time fighting over silly details: “he exposed himself. No he didn’t expose himself”, because this amplifies the focus and demonizes the target. I am more interested in the timing. Even the most recent allegations were years ago. Being a mindless hedonist idiot is actually encouraged by the overlords. But it is useful for control, if it gives them power to silence critics –“we will overlook your behavior as long as you stick with the narrative”. This actually affects us all because it will also affect our free speech. I think a more convincing case to look at is Julian Assange. He exposes corrupt government officials and then a short time later gets rape charges. There are also many others, (e.g. Bill Cosby). There is a pattern here.
-
I will believe Russell Brand is innocent until I see real evidence to the contrary. But this is an interesting case of how someone is convicted by a mob. It’s the high tech version of lynching. Allegations and innuendo => mob frenzy reacting to their own imaginations => we find him guilty. focus attention on the target and cook until done. Garbage in. Garbage out.
-
The alleged incidents cover a period between 2006 and 2013. That means it goes back almost 17 years. But the women say that they never thought of bringing charges until they were contacted by reporters. That raises the issue of how were the women ever found if they never reported it? Is a weaponized version of AI being used by the power elites to silence any significant voice that challenges their narrative. Think of it, an AI program can go through the records of your entire past now to find ways of attacking you if you speak out. The below video plays one of the tapes that have been released of one of these women talking and explains why he believes that the voice has been AI generated.

Remember that Julian Assange was accused of rape after exposing government abuse of power, fraud and corruption on Wikileaks. The corporate media is not your friend.

At the same time Biden is denying secret service protection to RFK, Jr, the media is slandering him with the same catch phrases in order to provoke some nut to make an attempt on his life. It is quit clear that the democratic party bosses want to eliminate him. -
So far there is no proven evidence he did anything wrong. There are allegations, and the subsequent propagation of gossip on the social media. That is all it takes to ruin the life of someone who may be totally innocent.... and actually is innocent until prove guilty. So being as pure as Caesar's wife doesn't necessarily help you and has a chilling effect on speech. But the same establishment media wants to maintain the illusion of free speech.

The Americans were sold on war through deliberate lies. The public got over 3 trillion dollars in debt and nothing in return. Chomsky's book "Manufacturing Consent" explains how the media serves as a rubber stamp for elite government policy. In a real Democracy, the news media would be an unbiased source of objective information and not a propaganda outlet that controls information to manufacture opinions in complience with the state.
-
Chomsky was referring the the propagandizing of the American news media. He said that during the Soviet Union, Russian citizens could get an alternative view from German television or the BBC, but the American media doesn't permit Americans to see the Russian point of view. The banning of RT would be an example. I believe this is accurate. I came to this conclusion during the Iraq war, when the coporate news media was almost completly pro war and readily published the numerous lies, such as Iraq having weapons of mass destruction. A more recent example is the Western media's bias in favor of Ukraine, waging war, and demonizing Russia.

Russle Brand is an influencer from England who decided to join the alternative media in providing another view than the mainstream media. He now has dangerous enemies. "The women said that they only felt ready to tell their stories after being approached by reporters..." https://www.nzherald.co.nz/entertainment/comedian-russell-brand-denies-allegations-of-sexual-assault-published-by-three-uk-news-organisations/F7NFMOTOZ5ATXJUFBQBIGLOMVA/ It’s interesting that Noam Chomsky went on Russle Brand’s show and basically said that the United States is now more totalitarian than the former Soviet Union. (starts about 1:50) https://rumble.com/v1dpvhq-whoa-what-noam-chomsky-just-told-russle-brand-about-america-with-shock-you-.html

In my opinion, because of Tate’s talking smack and becoming influential with young men for it, somone way higher than our pay grade decided to take him out. It’s interesting that the Buddhists made “right speech” as one of the steps of the Noble Eightfold Path. They considered skillful speech as that important to living a good life and avoiding bad karma. Tate has definitely changed his speech, displaying his charities on his Twitter account and talking about how to be a good father. This is probably the best thing he could be doing now, and perhaps was suggested by his advisors. Or maybe he does take Islam seriously, which has similar rules. I believe that webcam businesses are unethical, because they use manipulation techniques to clean out a man’s bank account. But they aren’t illegal in the United States and most other Western countries. There are also an infinite variety of other legal ways that are just as unethical. This is why gambling use to be considered something that should be made illegal. If the Tates are really sincere about helping young men, I would like to see them come out against the webcam business and expose all the manipulative techniques so that men are aware. -

I support India’s effort to strengthen its national identity and keep it a safe place for the development of the Sanatana Dharma. If it wasn’t for Westerners going to India in the 1960s, nobody here would be talking about non duality. -

Do the majority of Ukrainians really favor a Western lifestyle, or is it being imposed on them? Western Ukraine is more European with a Catholic population. But Eastern Ukraine is more Russian and Orthodox Christian. Maybe it makes more sense for some of the eastern area to be part of Russia.
