  1. The only movie that comes to my mind is Annihilation
  2. Everything that shapes your future is an action or a reaction to past actions Is action the same with thought?
  3. Yep, sounds scary enough. I would recommend you to meditate, eat healthy, sleep well, avoid stress and overthinking months before taking it again. It doesn't sound like a good idea to use other drugs (including alcohol) in the meantime. If you can't control your thoughts or emotions, then most likely you are not prepared for it.
  4. According to Wikipedia: "Improvisation is the activity of making or doing something not planned beforehand, using whatever can be found." ... in the present? But note that improvisation requires doing something, instead of observing your thoughts. Thus, it requires an action.
  5. @nistake Honestly, the amount of hate he gets is sickening to the stomach. I think he might need a mentor like Leo and perhaps someone should invite him on this forum so that he can learn more. There is this cliche that if you have a breakthrough, you should be a zen master but that's not how spirituality works. It is always a work in progress.
  6. @Nichts @Dand What scared you the most?
  7. He is just overexcited and innocent, imo. To me, he looks like a honest and good guy. This is normal when you first time discover deep truths as you feel like the mysteries of the universe have been unraveled in front of you, so you may wish to share your treasure with everyone. Don't be so judgemental, no one is perfect at the beginning of the spiritual path. He has all the time to improve his speech and mood ?
  8. Do you believe in predestination?
  9. Why do you say that death is an event? Life and death both happen inside your mind, there's no distinction between them. Your body is not any different than the objective reality that appears to be outside of you. That's dualism.
  10. I can't see how a thing or anything can exist outside of spacetime. Does an atom experience space-time? No. But you are "made of atoms" and see the expansion of the mind which is changing its form to infinity to create this "objective reality" that we call matter. Is past or future something you would call objective reality? It makes zero sense to think that there's something outside of you. God is you, not a bearded man waving its hand on a white cloud. Who said it's all knowing? Knowing is existing.
  11. Grow some balls and follow your heart, not your weaknesses. If it doesn't feel right, then let him go. Never betray yourself by putting the needs of others before your own. It sounds like you lack self-love and you are afraid of losing him.
  12. I haven't attained enlightenment but from my understanding I can say that: 1. If objective reality exists then it should be independent of your perception but spacetime is merely a mind construct, not something really "out there". If your assumption is true, then the only 'objective reality' is only an expansion of your own mind, a dream within a dream just the same when you go to sleep and see yourself in a different reality, then you come back in the 'real world'. Obviously, you will never understand everything at once because the mind always expands. 2. God is your mirrored image and everything that you experience is you. Objective reality is not separate from you. It is you.
  13. He is ok now but he has to face all the demons and fake followers that once "liked" him. It really annoys me when people talk shit about others when they expose their vulnerable side.
  14. Glad that someone talks about this. I experience this state of consciousness frequently and just like you, I open my eyes and feel like my consciousness is being upgraded, or that the room is more illuminated. Also, last night I realized that my body was vibrating but not sure if it's the first time happening this because I didn't pay too much attention before. My mind also feels peaceful in such moments, it's like I can think more clearly. And yep, I have an internal dialogue which sometimes goes weird because my mind feels like an antenna picking signals from otherworldly entities. Maybe it's just imagination but I wonder what is happening too because I couldn't find an appropriate term for these in-between states ?
  15. The purpose of meditation is to get rid of all the mental noise, not to gain superpowers. They should come naturally when the mind-body is ready. I think that spending time in nature is essential besides eating healthy and eliminating stress. The mind cannot transcend its limitations if the body doesn't work properly because the body affects the mind and vice versa. So you should start with the basics. Once you don't identify with your body anymore (because if it hurts and influence you mentally, you won't be able to detach from it) you should work towards purifying your mind more and more. And meditation helps you wash all the mental mess. But superpowers shouldn't be the purpose if your goal isn't to help others. When you're healthy and your mind is pure, you can feel heaven on earth and that's the only thing that actually matters to you ?
  16. This is the story of Gord. Gord wants to be an animator... ... but finally Gord realizes that his plot makes no sense The End ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Moral of the story: Don't be Gord. If you want to be an animator, be God
  17. Nope, I don't know what that means but saying that there's an essence distinct from the body sounds like dualism. I've had ego death and it was one of the most profound things that have ever happened to me. From my pov, death is a state of mind and not a real thing but those who believe in it will most likely die when the moment comes. And how do you explain experiencing this while still being alive if you think that you are trapped inside the body? Don't you think that's actually a mind trick? As Leo said, reality is indeed a hallucination... you see yourself above your body and think that it's only a shell. Maybe you are able to transcend this here on earth, don't hope it will happen after a multitude of deaths and rebirths.
  18. Ours is made of gross matter because the mind cannot transcend the idea that we're humans living in a 3D world. We're slaves as long as we allow these mind limitations to control our lives, so from my perspective the mind is a trap and a prison. To me there's no afterlife other than this.
  19. Then why do you think these are higher dimensional entities and you're just a 3D creature going on a trip? Maybe they're trying to drag you to these higher realms "right here, right now" not in the afterlife.
  20. I don't know what's the interpretation for "water and the Spirit" but I agree that the Bible has some advanced stuff, although many truths have been lost... As for the body appearing as human, to me the first chapters from Genesis are really insightful: “I heard Your voice in the garden,” he replied, “and I was afraid because I was naked; so I hid myself.” 11“Who told you that you were naked?” asked the LORD God. “Have you eaten of the tree from which I commanded you not to eat?” 12And the man answered, “The woman whom You gave me, she gave me fruit from the tree, and I ate it.” In conclusion, they were innocent and suddenly they started feeling shame and fear because that's the price of knowledge. And Jesus said that we should be like children again which makes sense because they don't know much before the mind is being programmed by all around us. When we are little we think that everything is possible and the mind has the power of transformation... but once we start to believe in our mortality, our minds act like a time bomb... this is where body starts to get ill and old, and finally die. Because the spark has been killed by this huge brain that we call "reality". When there is no hope, the magic is lost.
  21. Possibly, though considering that I've been an atheist, often I think that these experiences actually opened my mind... it's like they tried to warn me and tell me "wake the fuck up!". So the outcome was good but the only thing that makes me to not trust is my christian background. And from my point of view, there is only ONE God which is the higher self. I see no reason why I would think there are deities outside of me. But I might be wrong tho, who knows. Life is full of surprises
  22. Agreed... people are so stuck on repeating the same thought patterns and focusing on being mortals that there's no way we can evolve further. I doubt that some day technology or science will be able to transform our minds in such a way that the body will transcend all the limitations. To me it all seems to be a mind problem... we see stuff around us and identify with all the shit, then we wonder why we've having miserable lives. Humans have lost all their hope but that power lies within, not in the sky or stars, not on other planets or dimensions. So stop focusing on being an ugly frog and realize that you are God. It's silly to imagine that god is a beautiful deity... beauty is in the eye of the beholder
  23. I don't agree, sometimes having less desirable traits could be a blessing. I've been both beautiful and plain ugly and the only time I truly evolved spiritually was when people rejected me. You have no idea how debilitating is to apparently have a healthy relationship with someone who appears to accept you but as soon as you're in deep $h!t, they just dump you like you're some garbage with no value. And the truth is that most people are shallow, their only interest is to gain social status and they will use you without any remorse. So better improve other qualities so that you aren't surrounded by a-holes and you can rise above them. Prove yourself that you have value.
  24. All the choices that you have made have not been yours. To break free from the Matrix you need to rewire this giant brain that we call "reality". So walking backwards to the root cause implies to get rid of the all the programs that built the false 'you'... then you can become the starchild (see 2001: A Space Odyssey for reference).
