Wrong. You are still stuck in the materialism paradigm. Determinism has nothing to do with the ultimate truth. -

My best guess is that your existence is infinite and physical death is an illusion. When you reincarnate, hypothetically you continue your existence from the point you were at, so nothing is lost from your past experiences. As for the enlightenment part, MAYBE. For me, enlightenment is realizing that there's no distinct reality than the one you're imagining all the time. -

@dflores321 I found your joke rude but it made me laugh ? It was kinda rough, so please next time be more gentle because farting in someone's mouth doesn't sound like a nice gesture lmao. -

When you wake up from a dream, you don't say that you were a character because you are the creator of that dream. The entire dream (not the dream elements) is actually you, not only the character you're playing. The other characters that appear on that dream are just components that make up the whole dream, they don't have a life of their own to wake up at the same time with you. Don't take this too literal, just that in real life you're not a character or a human, you're the entire Universe that you're experiencing right now. -

@Someone here reality isn't happening by itself like some stupid game being developed with no sense at all. So self inquiry is good, just that you don't always ask the right questions. Replace /reality or /this or /that with YOU and you're on the right path. -

No shit, Sherlock. So what are you doing here then, ma man? Stop asking questions and let reality exist lol. Enlightenment isn't for everyone. -

Of course, but they are just that... characters. The dreamer is not a character. -

This is just another way of running from reality or make reality more bearable. People are trying to cheat life and suffering so they come up with this excuse. The Self is real and is responsible. Self-denial isn't. -

The Self exists just that it's not what people think of. God-realization is Self-realization. -

Did you guys feel like there was some higher (unusual) power behind all the experience? Like your soul watching a mirror image? I can compare the feeling with the Iron giant character... there was the tiny human ego and the giant power watching it. Obviously, the power had no image but it was huge and... scary. Clearly not a human feeling. -

Yup, death is something you're imagining. But other POVs are also something that you're imagining. Because each universe is different than your own - there's only the illusion that reality is some space shared temporally. The question is why you're identifying with this Ego' story as there actually are no rules to keep you trapped in this Universe and then die. That's just a story the ego likes to tell. As for characters being imaginary, yes, they are. But you are the one imagining the characters. You are not a character inside some temporal story. Because you (the "Universe") are infinite. -

You don't need LSD to see yourSelf in the mirror. -

Enlightenment is when you become aware of your true nature. If you separate yourself from "this", or "that" or Reality and call the Self "nothing" so that things can become more bearable, it isn't enlightenment. You still experience a separation between the inner/outer world, no matter how much you want to believe that you're at peace with all there is. Experiencing "this" or "that" without acknowledging the infinity of your existence will not make you enlightened. -

Unconsciousness can be experienced, only that it's short... like a TV turning off. Absence of everything (nothing) or everything can be seen on the same screen. Close your eyes and think about nothing... you will become nothing. Open your eyes and you become everything. It's all consciousness. Unconsciousness isn't separate from consciousness. -

@Bulgarianspirit Sure, you aren't conscious of anything but you can still experience unconsciousness. It's actually orgasmic. Just that like any orgasm it ends soon so it doesn't last forever. Unconsciousness without consciousness is nothing.
