  1. @Germo Eggs are fine, 8-12. Honestly, I can't imagine myself eating less anytime soon, it's like the best protein source imo. Many people are allergic tho.
  2. @Egzoset Thanks for sharing sir!
  3. No joke, I think guys from RSD give the best advice for men as far as relationships, at least romantic relationships. Cause they have the most experience with dating and they dated pretty much every type of woman.
  4. EPA and DHA have a lot of functions in the body, they're essential. The problem is that in supplements (and many foods that are low in vitamin E andor have been exposef to heat/light), omega 3s become oxidants. They cannot do their function and they oxidize other PUFAs we already have in the body. I agree that many studies show negative effects of omega 3, even from food, but if you eat fresh or supplement with a good brand of fish oil, they should be beneficial.
  5. @Keyhole @TrynaBeTurquoise I think you guys both are right. Omega 3 is really beneficial but you gotta have enough vitamin E in your system to protect PUFAs from oxidizing. Most people get a ton of PUFAs from stuff like canola oil and then their vitamin E stores are depleted, which causes omega 3 to oxidize. So I'd say omega 3 is incredible, as long as you keep the PUFA/Vitamin E ratio low.
  6. @ardacigin Actually you can get GABA from food. It's found in white tea and most grains, including rice. But I agree with your point. Supplementing with any neurotransmitter might also deplete you of other neurotransmitters. I'd say GABA is great when you're about to face a stressful situation. It makes you calmer and minimized the damage from cortisol. I also take it before bed when I had a stressful day. But I don't think it's a good idea to take it daily, not sure though.
  7. @PlayTheGame 1st 2 weeks are the hardest, man, then it becomes super easy. Tell a friend you'll give him $100 if you ever watch porn again and you won't.
  8. I say what's on my mind Sometimes I creep people out
  9. @LfcCharlie4 Yeah factory farmed meat is bad for the planet nad probably unhealthy as well. I'd say the same is true for most unorganic plant foods cause there is a huge problem with soil depletion right. And as you say, you can make veganism healthy.
  10. @Shiva If we worry about what's natural, there's also the other side of the argument - fruits and most vegetables look far different from what they used to, and you didn't have access to them during winter. I'm not against plants at all but I think many people (both vegans and carnies) try to justifx their opinions with talking about our ancestors. I do think it makes sense but looking at reliable studies is a better way to determine what to eat. Cause some stuff is natural and bad, whereas something is unnatural and healthy.
  11. @Osaid Sure but in the same way, watching news is a reality check but it doesn't seem to be very healthy. But maybe it works right, I don't know
  12. @LfcCharlie4 I might be wrong about this but from a nutrition standpoint, veganism seems suboptimal. But as you say, it might be the most ethical way to eat, I don't know much about the meat industry. @Shiva I know what you're saying but the guy you're talking about likely did it the wrong way, not incorporating bones, and organ meats. As @TrynaBeTurquoise said, the quality of the meat also matters a ton.
  13. @Vipassana Thanks for starting the challenge, I'm in!
  14. Hi friends, I'm planning to do SDS for 3-5 hrs daily so it's very important to me to choose the right posture to keep sitting straight to prevent the knee damage. I'd sit on the chair but I also want it to be painful cause that's what I believe makes SDS effective. So couple of good options I found include Burmese, Seiza, and simply crossed legged, but I'm not sure about their long-term consequences. What would you recommend?
  15. @askdfjnak If you're still active on the forum, could you please share what posture you sit in? I assume you've done a lot of research on that
  16. Also love this journal, thanks a lot! @luismatos You're probably not looking for it anymore but it's Insight Timer.

  18. Look up Ben Greenfield. He's in my opinion the most reliable guy when it comes to fitness and he teaches us how to optimize our workout routine for mitochondria, VO2, muscle mass, mobility, everything at once. https://bengreenfieldfitness.com/article/fitness-articles/workouts-exercise-articles/best-supplements-for-muscle-growth-2019/ https://bengreenfieldfitness.com/article/fitness-articles/workouts-exercise-articles/ben-greenfields-weekly-workout-routine/
  19. From what I found: - the optimal dose seems to be 1-1,5 teaspoons a day - combining it with piperine (found in black pepper) makes curcumin 20 times more bioavailable - you need to consume some dietary fat along with turmeric to properly transport it in your body - some of the beneficial compounds get destroyed at as little as 70 Celsius, beware of that - preferably you wanna store it in a cold dark place but it's not a big deal if you don't
  20. I agree with almost everything he mentions but it's weird to me that he doesn't take K2 and creatine. Pretty much every health-conscious person takes these, for a good reason.
  21. I'd say fish is better for most people, especially cause EPA and DHA, but it also has a lot more phosphatidylserine, iodine, and a little more potassium, magnesium, and niacin. I don't think mercury is an issue in small fish cause selenium counteracts its negative effects. Though I'd avoid big fish, such as tuna, shark, and king mackerel. Smoked fish might be a problem if you don't tolerate histamines well. I would never eat farm-raised.
  22. Carni seems to work very well for Jordan Peterson and many others, but most of the time it's either because their gut health needs a reset and/or they have an autoimmune disorder. In JP's case, he has an autoimmune disorder. @LfcCharlie4 I'd say a vegan diet is obviously better than SAD but you're very likely to become deficient in a lot of stuff, specifically cobalamin, biotin, zinc, EPA, DHA, retinol, and sometimes iron. Also D3 cause your body might not absorb it properly if your cholesterol is too low. Make sure to get your blood tested for these
  23. @Egzoset Thanks for sharing! For me, I used to take very high doses (100mg before bed) and it didn't seem to work either. What I discovered is that you have to keep it under your tongue for at least a minute before swallowing.
  24. @Chumbimba What helped me a lot was actually understanding how important your diet is. Not only for your longevity but also for energy. I have like 30% more energy than when I was eating junk. Also, starting is hard and it's probably a good idea to start slow, eliminating one thing at a time and replacing them with healthy foods that you also like. Eggs, nuts, some fruits, you get the point. It'll actually become pretty easy after a while cause you'll develop new taste buds and start loving healthy foods, I promise.
  25. Hi, thabks for sharing! Couple uncommon ones you might wanna add: - Self Inquiry - Tape your mouth before bed - No blue light after x pm - Improve your business/health/whatev by 1% - Ask for feedback - Walk (especially after food to lower the insulin response) - Talk to a stranger (though he probably won't appreciate in this situation) - Take notes when learning watchingvids / reading books - For me, the most important habits are evening and morning routine cause once you have these established, it takes no effort to say start meditating, you just add it to your routine. - Then the inner habits ofc like admit being wrong, don't lie etc. but I found I have to actually be inspired to do these, I can't force myself to be kind and stuff
