  1. @No Self Never mind sorry. I now see that I misread which attachment style you chose lol sorry. Valid argument. ?
  2. I couldn’t disagree more. Treat children with dignity. Authoritarian parenting pushes the kids away from the parents. High expectations and low emotional responsiveness, love, care, and understanding is terrible for the kids self esteem. It’s like saying you’re a bad person for not practicing the violen that you hate. Parents should accept the children for who they are and be a positive role model. If the children look up to you and have a secure attachment they will grow up to be self motivated adults. There are studies that show how positive reinforcement works better than negative reinforcement. Forcing kids to comply especially between ages 1-3 and then second place 4-7 years old. Be your child’s friend. Constructive criticism and teaching them the reasoning behind your demands helps them understand that it’s for their own good and not because they are not good enough to be loved. Otherwise you push them away and they confide in their peers. Read the book or watch any lecture by Gabor Mate. That guy is so on point with childhood development and emotional/physical disease.
  3. I highly recommend these two audiobooks or paperbacks. “Don’t you know who I am” goes in great depth about dealing with narcissistic people, how to spot them, why they are that way, celebrity and political examples in American culture. ”Hold on to your kids: Why parents need to matter more than peers” talks about the importance of secure attachment styles between parents and children. A cultural shift happened after WWII. Raising children changed. The culture gradually started to shift. Parents are overworked and short tempered. Invalidation of kid’s feelings. The dangers of focusing on behavior rather than intent. Parental discipline shouldn’t mean putting the kids in time out if they misbehave. Or withholding love if they misbehave. Or conditional love like “I love you if you get straight A’s in school and clean your room.” And it’s not about screaming and spanking your kids or telling them what is right and wrong without explanation. Enforce boundaries but let the child know they are loved in a calm loving voice. ALLOW them to have tantrums, just instead of punishing them for the anger they naturally feel (hard wired instincts), console them and be present with them until they calm down. Suppression of anger or any emotion breeds resentment and frustration. Also causes the children to detach from their parents and replace the attachment with their immature adolescent peers who will not love them unconditionally. The book also talks about what happens when peers also reject them or victimize them or bully them. How schools no longer allow children to go home for lunch. Devices and smart phone put a wedge between the parent child relationship. Children become secretive and manipulative. Stunted development creates narcissism. The book makes the argument that it’s our culture. The decay of family oriented values and religion. Stage orange in spiral dynamics. These books don’t talk about SD but it sure added a lot of meat to the SD skeleton as a model.
  4. I’ll also be waiting to see if it works for the first group that gets it. In the mean time, watch this wholesome video of JP spears public service announcement. This guy is a genius. What a way to appeal to the right wingers and the Libtards.

  6. Said E. Dawlabani posted this on his Facebook group called, “Beck-Graves original Spiral Dynamics” —————————————————— ISLAMIC HISTORY THROUGH THE LENS OF SPIRAL DYNAMICS I tried to stay out of the debate on Islam as long as I could. When I created this page, I wanted it to be a learning forum, so it’s in that spirit that I post this material. I know it is difficult for my Western friends to have inward reflection on this issue when emotions are flying high, but the religion’s own state of arrested development is only made worse by the West’s continued incompetence in understanding of its vMemetic stages of development, and must share equally in the blame. The image below is from Elza’s research at the Center for Human Emergence Middle East. Unfortunately, Elza is suffering from a neurological disorder that prevents her from engaging on this issue that’s near and dear to her heart. This is from notes on one of her PowerPoint presentations that she made to the State Dept with Don and at SD Confabs and integral theory conferences. While we all react to the symptoms on the surface, I urge you to look at the history of the deeper vMEMETIC codes below. ____________________________________________ The 1st vMemetic period is Al JAHILIYA, The Age of Ignorance: TRIBAL HEROIC VALUES. BANDS OF NOMADS LEADING A SIMPLE LIFE. They were used as mercenaries by conquering armies. Heavy Purple/heavy Red with not much of anything else. The 2nd vMemetic period is THE ISLAMIC RENAISSANCE: With the birth of Islam came religious BLUE that gave tribes a sense of purpose. Suddenly they had ideological reasons to spread the message of the Prophet as a way of life. Islam then was an OPEN SYSTEM that followed in the Hellenistic traditions of other world religions. Scholars like IBN SINA & IBN RUSHD were catalysts for advancement of science, cosmology, Math, Physics and Psychology at a time when Europe was going through its dark ages. This is where you see The THICKEST ORANGE in Islamic History. You even begin to see the appearance of green as Islamic expansion reached as far as Andalusia where Christian, Muslim and Jewish scholars collaborated in translating world philosophies. Then Memetically something important happened in the 11th century. An influential Scholar named AL GHAZALI claimed that the Quran is the direct word of God, and Islam will no longer be subject to philosophical interpretation. His works was called “Tafahat Alfalasifah” the West translated it to The Incoherence of the philosophers, the actual Arabic translation of that is the “Insignificance of the Philosophers” This is something that is not understood until it’s placed in MEMETIC terms … AL GHAZALI brought an end to the Hellenistic traditions. No more philosophical debates of Islam. His doctrine brought back the patriarchal dominance to the religion and made it into closed system. The Decline Phase of the Ottoman Empire. That’s where we begin to see the slow decline of Science, Cosmology and free thinking and the return of Heavy Red, heavy Purple. Blue is limited to Religious Blue on which institutions are built. Then Came the Fall of the Ottoman Empire and the Colonial Mandates where the administration of the entire region was given to England & France. Based on their Western Colonial Values they drew the easiest Borders and called them nations. It is very important to understand this… WE CAN’T FORGET OUR ARAB TRIBAL IDENTITY. Suddenly colonialists wanted us to let go of Centuries of tribal vengeance in 25 years of rule… All They did, is give more rise to RED & Purple and Imposed a non-indigenous, secular Blue that was out of region’s developmental sequence and absent the evolutionary mechanisms imbedded in the indigenous intelligence of the culture. The vMemetic period is Arab Nationalism. Here you see Influential Arab Thinkers like Michel Aflaq the ideological father of the Nationalist Baath Party, the most prominent PAN ARAB movement which attempted to influence the thinking of a culture where Life Conditions were in Purple Red with a non-indigenous ideology created in Western Ivory towers, high Orange-Complex Green with well-established institutions. Aflaq who was educated in France at the Sorbonne and many others like him were trying to impose COMPLEX WESTERN VALUES FROM AT LEAST 2 or 3 LEVELS, ABOVE THE cultures vMEME Center of Gravity (COG). This huge mismatch between Ideology and Life Conditions is seen in places like Iraqi and Syria that adopted THE BA’ATH IDEOLOGY without fully understanding the COG of their own people. THE END OF THAT MOVEMENT CAME WITH the death of Gamal Nasser in Egypt, which defaulted the culture to RED and gave rise to Dictators. Those dictators were very clever in blaming people’s misery on the FAR ENEMY OF ISRAEL AND U.S. TO STAY IN POWER. That worked for few decades… THEN CAME the TRANSPARENCY of THE INFORMATION AGE that SHOWED PEOPLE THE TRUTH AND BROUGHT NOTHING BUT CHAOS…Arab spring turned into an Arab Winter. THE GENERALS OF THE BAATH ARMY IN IRAQ TURNED INTO ISLAMIC STATE… AND ALL THIS IN MEMETIC TERMS SHOWS THE TRANSITION from RED to A- YET-TO-BE -KNOWN BLUE THAT IS STRUGGLING TO DEFINE ITSELF.
  7. I’m only 20 pages in. It just feels like I'm reading someone’s paper for school. I’m curious if anyone else already read it. What were your thoughts? Did he provide any plausible solutions for future problems? Does he use Spiral Dynamics correctly?
  8. Because my client is a super Trump fan, watches fox news 24/7. And a lot of the books he chooses to listen to are usually affiliated with fox news and career politician. So i have trust issues with the stuff i learn from my client.
  9. @Opo My right wing client listened to this audiobook written by Ben Hubbard. He made it seem like MBS is only copying the appeal of the western world so his people will want to stay in their country and grow the economy. Ben Hubbards journalist friend was murdered with a bone saw in some embassy I forgot, you can google it if your interested. But it was because of that mbs price. I’m not sure if the perspective of MBS being so ruthless like in this book. I’m not sure if it’s right wing fear mongering propaganda or unbiased/balanced facts.
  10. I thought the diagram was really interesting. I’m completely ignorant of Islamic history and politics. I barely know U.S. history (I blame poverty and Chicago Public Schools lol). This analysis made me curious about the history in the Middle East because I have no clue other than they got oil, terrorists, and fundamental radical religious people. Basically what ever I hear from CNN and Fox coverage of the war in Iraq. It blew my mind when last year I seen this picture of college women dressed like western girls in Afghanistan. I was 28 years old and shocked that women could dress like that in the 70s over there. I know nothing about Afghanistan other than Osama bin Ladin and the Taliban. I never even heard of the Ottoman Empire. I feel really stupid. I’m going to go binge watch crash course world history.
  11. @Leo Gura Tell me about your rock-solid survival plan. Whats the fundamental difference between Trumpty Dumpty and senile Biden? fyi i live in Chicago, Democrats always beat Republicans by a landslide. My vote doesn't really matter. So I dedicated my vote to increase the numbers in the 3rd party. I feel safe sending a message in a state like Illinois. However i don't try to convince my family and friends in Wisconsin and Texas to vote 3rd party. Their democratic votes are important. Im not a complete hippy idealogical fucktard. Im reasonably rebellious.
  12. @Leo Gura it’s very personal. Chomsky’s Manufacturing consent really fucked with my already existing trust issues. Slovaj Zizek and Peterson Debate made me think. Maybe I’m being corrupt by communism I don’t know. I have trust issues on all 4 quadrants if the political spectrum. I’m voting for my needs. And I pray that every election that 3rd party percentage grows. I pray for ranked choice voting that can be passed at the state level.
  13. @Leo Gura why not be the change you want to see. You are literally doing the opposite of be the change in this case and I’m so confused... why? The power of optimism. I get it. The novelty wears off after a few years of hope . This is only my third election so maybe the novelty and hope didn’t wear down. If we all could just learn as much as we can and work on validating alternative opinions then questioning their reasoning in a curious nonjudgmental way instead of a condescending way, then maybe you can help get people on the right track. Help people become curious. Help them think. You can’t do that if you dismiss them. Your conspiracy video triggered me. But luckily I’m patient and curious enough to finish every minute of your videos. I been practicing my ability to listen to triggering arguments in real life. It fucking feels Impossible. But something inside me doesn’t want to give up. I never finish anything in life. I’m also pretty passive in person. When it comes to politics it’s hard for me to not have a knee jerk reaction. I want to hang in to hope in this area of my life. My little 4 year old is helpless right now to fight for his future. I feel like I could at least do what I can to spread ideas. We are all connected. What Leo influenced in me, I influence on the people close to me, and it branches out like that. Isn’t that what grassroots mean? Sorry for rambling.
  14. @Heart of Space the sad thing is I feel betrayed by the Obama administration and I feel betrayed by CNN and MSNBC. When I was in high school I thought those networks were so “woke.” It wasn’t until very recently... like three months ago that I found out Obama started the separation of children and families at the border and kids in cages. Obama bombed innocent civilians more than any other president including Bush. Obama bailed out the banks and aloud the “plebs” to lose their homes. It wasn’t until a few months ago did I realize that the whole Obama administration catering to corporate America and hiding behind his intellectual speeches that only talk about left wing ideology. Zero change, more of the same. I also can’t stand that Biden is openly telling his corporate donors that nothing fundamentally will change, and that he is not against fracking. Then there is the Hunter Biden scandal. And the manufactured Russiagate Propaganda to distract the left so the left focuses on their hate for Trump instead of change. My reputation here is fucked because I’m fickle. I post about Qanan and Osama bin’s niece who wrote a letter endorsing Trump. I’m not saying I love Trump. I’m just not going to give into the establishment. I want real change. No more neoliberals for me. And I strongly encourage all pluralists/ vMeme green to consider joining the movement against the establishment. Against the corrupted system. It’s been systemically corrupt by money since the Great Depression. It’s just now getting a little too out of hand. I don’t know what Leo’s vision is. My vision woulda been to help the green base here become a healthy green. Not a Trump hating green.
  15. @Opo You are calling me lazy? Eh, that’s true I cheat. I don’t read, I listen to audiobooks. Dude I have no social life. I raise my son, I go to work, and during my free time (about 10 hours a day) I listen to audible, I engage in political discussions in diverse social groups on Facebook and YouTube, I watch educational videos and political commentary all day long For the last 3 years. Just because I’m a burnout doesn’t mean I’m not informed. Why do you act so superior? Are you saying you are the ultra spiritual enlightened one with all the answers? Educate me. School me. Bring it.
  16. That’s a disappointing comment coming from you. As much as I love Chomsky, she has a point. I put you on a pedistool. I looked up to you since early 2018. Your videos got me through postpartum depression. Your videos even inspired me to educate myself. I usually agree with your opinions. It was your recommendations of Jimmy Dore and Chris Hedges, and Noam Chomsky that got my wheels turning in this direction. I understand why you think Biden is better than Trump. I’m just disappointed that you don’t want to be an activist for change. You finally reached a million subscribers. Your voice is so influential. I hope I’m the one who is confused, grandiose, and diluted.
  17. @Opo Jimmy has a backbone. Notice how ironically you think Biden is any better than Trump. More of the same. At least Trump is easy to see through. Biden pretends to value left wing values.
  18. If the 3rd parties gradually grew in percentages over the next few elections then maybe people who settle will have more confidence to vote based kn their true values.
  19. I think Leo made a mistake influencing his following to vote Biden. I voted 3rd party. Stop picking the lesser of two evils.
  20. @Matt23 I really liked your style of presenting your argument. It was like reading someone’s notes or outline. Nice.
