Quinoa? lol wild rice is as expensive as gold, they sell it in 200g packages because 500/1kg is unaffordable for pretty much everyone.

I also tend to waste hours just listening to music—And I come out miserable at the end. I have found that even when I used to play video games, I was much much much better without music. Just turning off music would improve my skill by 50% And on the grounds of creativity, I think that all noise is damaging. Creative ideas come to me in complete silence, complete focus. As much as I listened to music and as much as my taste developed, I can't help but feel that It's usually a very mindless process. It should be treated as recreation & entertainment.

Don't be in such a hurry, get to ~500 approaches. You'll do it eventually. You're whining about not being able to persevere but ironically perseverance is the thing that will get you laid.

The fastest growing app in the world is just casually a fraud? I can’t comprehend this stupidity.

You managed to make yourself believe that the universe is conspiring against you. That’s next level.

I used to game 10-15 hours a day (severe addiction, now gone) and I never had this? I had stiff fingers where I couldn't move them easily from the keyboard typing position i.e do a fist. How are they bending? You mean they're closing?

Short story: I traveled to my country's capital to get a license for my job, this was my first experience where I was alone in an apartment, exposed to a lot of women and socialization. This was a huge city, ~700K people. I decided to flunk the test cuz I wanted to explore the city. And then I came back home, I fucking hated my part of the country more than I usually do. I had anger attacks (first time), I cried out of misery for the first time in years because I was stuck in this shit part of the world. And to some degree I realized that a 700k city isn't that big, It's actually small. My mind was blown, but I digress. Recently I found out that I shouldn't suppress this anger or emotion, this anger is here for a reason. I'm in a shit place in life, I shouldn't be happy about it, I shouldn't ignore it. Why can't positive and negative motivation coexist? Claiming that positive motivation is the only motivation one should harness is sunshine and rainbows, what you get as a result is: a lazy society. You can't even cultivate positive motivation if your life is mediocre. You haven't dealt with pain so you have no sensitivity and no desire. I fucking hope that I get fired from my comfy office job for whatever reason, so I can be kicked in the ass. And I wish that on you too.

Why not just go with the biggest one? Berlin. Berlin alone is almost matching my country in population. I would personally live in the biggest city of any country, with some exceptions. I heard Cologne was full of students so that might be interesting. I would personally consider 2 germans = 1 American. Since they’re not quite known for being social animals.

The same reason Jordan Peterson’s audience is mostly men, it seems that men’s brains and more wired for this type of work. Aka Self Improvement Take in the fact that Leo’s traffic comes mostly from YouTube and YouTube is a men dominated platform. I don’t know too much about this forum’s past but I’m betting that it lost a lot of guys as well, for whatever reason. And since it always had a unequal ratio of men and women, both dropped. And since there was already a low number of women on this forum, now there’s even less. You might be saying this because Preety India and Tyler Robinson got banned. Since they had a very eye poking presence here.

Think it’s that easy? edit: I’m not saying that I wont. I am planning on doing that. It’s after I found out that 700k is small that I wanted to prepare better and up my standards, move to Amsterdam potentially. Which is more ambitious because It’s also a different country with a foreign language that I don’t speak at all.

Is dry fruit any worse than fresh? I live quite far from the nearest city so ordering online saves me so much time (only dry fruit is available). And I want to get a good diet going, part of my high value man goal. I realized that so many people throw in random berries and fruit in their shakes. I heard they're worse, but seemingly only because you can eat a lot more of them, and nothing else... which is not a valid point in my opinion.

This is probably true, Huberman talked about it on his podcast. He also said, that competitiveness and testosterone are heavily related. Competitive environments increase T as well. Interesting mechanism.

Andrew Tate is the coolest kid in school and Starstruck is amongst the people who want to sit with him in class “Not being rich puts you in a submissive position” - basically what was preached in this video. I can’t If this continues I’ll have to deny I’m a member of this forum is somebody happens to ask me ?? Like actualized.org? what’s that??

You are asking monkeys to tell you about nuclear fusion here. Nobody has any reference or clue how this thing will turn out. Go around asking people's opinions, predictions and assumptions on things they have little experience with and you’ll realize just how consistently wrong they are. Go ask your neighbor how he feels about Paris. It really works with anything, not to mention AI. I do have a thought-provoking quote from Andrej Karpathy which I posed here before. Something to add to your thread I guess so I’m not completely useless here. Andrej on Lex Fridman: So in my mind consciousness is not a special thing you will figure out and bolt on, I think it's an emerging phenomenon of a large enough and complex enough generative model. If you have a complex enough world model that understands the world then it also understands it's predicament in the world as being a language model, which to me is a form of consciousness or self-awareness.

A good starting idea would be to limit releases and upgrades of models such as GPT, the transformer & hardware components such as graphics cards. But that is not so simple, because these are our current models. It's very likely that none of them will be used 10 years from now, especially for top notch super advanced AI. And as I said before, our regulators and politicians are just plain idiots when it comes to technology. Perhaps that's the reason aliens haven't made contact with us yet, they know we're heading towards a shit-show

Misalignment is more likely than alignment, which means death is more likely than prosperity if we continue down this venture. AI has to have a department in it's mind specifically for empathy, compassion and love. the same way a human has specific parts of it's brain for specific emotions and feelings. With this department, our chances of survival are still far from guaranteed, but not having this department be the core of it's being will most certainty be a bad thing. AI doesn't have to be pro-human, it has to be pro-life. It has to be biased and see living things as more special than rocks, at least in the beginning. However, It's hard to set rules for AI. As we all know, even ChatGPT has broken it's core rules and principles that OpenAI has set for it. I'm not sure about strapping nukes to ourselves, it could result in more hatred. (If I was AI) I wouldn't like to be forced into an alliance with a inferior creature. We don't want to be weights in AI's marathon. In a way, you don't control something and expect it to love you. We are able to live with dogs, cats and pigeons as long as we don't get in each other's way. We are yet to meet something conscious other than a human, and conscious AI will probably be a different breed compared to ChatGPT. Which makes premeditative ideas like strapping nukes to ourselves, hard to think about. Stopping this entire thing for a few hundred years, developing ourselves further whilst developing AI slowly and carefully. Sounds ideal, we still haven't maxed out our biological capabilities. But there is no way this will ever happen, so we might as well throw this idea out the window. Human beings (including experts) have a very strong knack for being wrong when it comes to assumptions or predictions. I don't really trust any of these so called "AI experts" or anybody who tries to predict what this thing will be like, matter of fact I don't even trust Leo or myself here. Conscious AI might literally want to leave earth without killing a single human once it awakens from it's slumber, we don't really know.

Satya Nadella, according to recent news, has imo proved he’s treating this technology irresponsibly. He (along with others) apparently pressured the rest of Microsoft into developing Bing search/Chatgpt ASAP. Large investments such as Microsoft’s $10 billion investment in OpenAI should be prohibited. You are not developing just a product, don’t say “we made Google dance”. This guy is completely blinded by capitalism and dumb altruism.

If only there was a way to implement a high amount of empathy, open mindedness and compassion into the literal architecture that these systems will be built on. As for regulation, regulators have consistently shown that they don’t even understand how wifi or facebook work. What are they supposed to do? Principles and ethics always get in the way of profits. Everyone knows that, and that’s a problem.

Damn, are you hitting on me?
