  1. I've tried fasting in the past and while I can say that yes, results are indeed fast and visible, these are not long-term results. At one point, you stop losing weight cause your body gets accustomed to the routine. There's the issue of the strain you put on your health too, don't imagine that there are no repercussions on your health. You might not feel anything at the moment, but in time, your stomach is likely the first to suffer. What I find most effective is a somewhat proper diet, eating 3 times per day with 2 healthy snacks in between, and drinking water like there's no tomorrow. In this period of the year, for example, I eat a rather consistent breakfast (milk with cereals, but a lot of it, and a banana), between breakfast and lunch I eat whatever fruit my heart desires as a snack cause I'm mad over fruits, for lunch, I eat a bowl of soup and I usually try to sneak in a granola bar too, then I have 1-2 snacks over the day that consist of fruits, and for dinner, I try to eat fish instead of meat, and veggie-based meals. If I fall asleep at late hours and get hungry again, I eat fruit, but this isn't recommended because of the sugar levels in them. But I still do it cause I like spoiling myself this way. And I've switched to alkaline water for a few months now, can't vouch for it but I read that it's better hydrating than normal water and I thought I should give it a go. I feel better overall, can't say that it's because of the water as I made so many changes to my diet, all positive changes, that I'm sure they all collaborated. I'll leave you with some useful links and resources, have a good day. https://www.webmd.com/diet/fasting#:~:text=But fasting for long periods, able to tolerate cold temperatures. https://www.health.harvard.edu/heart-health/not-so-fast-pros-and-cons-of-the-newest-diet-trend https://www.optimainstitute.com/water/alkaline-water-ionizer.html https://www.webmd.com/diet/features/the-five-meal-plan-health-fitness#1
  2. I've fought skin irritations for most of my life. Always had issues after getting out of the shower or bath. Little did I know, it was the chlorine (and who else knows what other chemicals) that was in abundance in the water. Installed a filtration system back at my old place and the itchiness and redness never came back. Now I moved and the issues reappeared, most likely from lack of filtration. Now I rely on well water, as opposed to previously, so a different type of system is required. Keep this aspect in mind if you do decide to install a filter system, well water and municipal supplies have different water contamination issues. https://popular.reviews/whole-house-water-filters-for-well/ Small tip - do some testing beforehand to see if water contamination is the problem or not.
  3. Excessive consumption of vitamin C actually has side effects. If no doctor has prescribed this to you specifically, stop guiding yourself after articles on the internet. Yes, take vitamin C, one per day, that's it. Otherwise, you put your health at stake.
  4. Seriously, listen to your therapist and that person alone. Only let off steam on forums, but don't take advice to heart. Only a specialist can help out in your situation. The thoughts you describe seem haunting, your position is not to be judged. But you must stay strong despite of it, overcome it with professional help and medication you are provided. Mental health is a serious matter, for some meditation might work, but this isn't a general rule, and I'm talking from experience here. I could meditate all I want and try out all the tips others say worked for them, but it doesn't mean they'll work for my specific problem. I can live with my issue, however, I have for most of my life lived alone with it and kept it a secret until I figured out that it is a problem I can talk about and stop being so stubborn when it comes to telling others that I need them. Good luck in your journey, friend, I hope you somehow get over this.
  5. While benefits are to be had with all types of meats, fish is richer from a nutritional point of view and helps your overall health improvement at a greater pace.
  6. It's a matter of perspective. I don't want to upset anyone here, I'm just putting in my two cents. Everyone should do what they want with who they want, as long as consent is involved from both parties and if feelings are not hurt in the process. But don't do it for the count, it doesn't help. Do it with women you actually like and want to know in an intimate manner.
  7. I don't know the type of person he is, but this is a comment made either by an incredibly selfish person, a delusional person, or someone who still loves too much and is incredibly hurt. No matter the category he falls into, don't listen to him. Move on and enjoy life. If he truly loves you, he wants you to be happy. That's what real love means and implies. Sacrificing yourself for what's best for the one you love.
  8. I've never been that affected by the energy of others, people who I don't care about at least. If colleagues are transmitting bad energy, it doesn't affect me in the slightest, I just mind my work and ignore their negativity. With home life, however, it's a whole different story as those people impact me more than they think. But I found that with a bit of practice, you can space out anyone in your life and maintain your line to stay positive, no matter what happens.
  9. Love isn't necessarily a mechanism you have to work on to upkeep, but it can be broken, irreversibly in some cases depending on what happens. There will always be split opinion on this topic, but just to put my two cents in as personal experience opened my eyes to something I previously didn't know about myself (5-10 years ago if someone told me I'd feel this I would laugh in their face), you can feel love to a degree where you simply collapse in on yourself if you feel that person goes away. It's the most shattering thing I felt in my life, and I've had more than enough experience by now, am typically a cynical person who doesn't like the whole romantism idea, but sometimes I think that love can strike you hard and knock you out. Love should be universal too, we should care for each other and not harm even those who harm us, try to be the better person. But when it comes to love, I must say I believe in it.
  10. I use turmeric for about 6 months now, and I've recently started to use curcumin too - lowers the risk for heart disease. If you want to live healthier, I'd recommend you add curcumin into the mix too.
