  1. Quite a lot of INTPs here. Which is not surprising considering our natural drive to self-actualization and the name of the forums
  2. If in doubt, don't do it. For a really fanatical artist, there's no question of choice. They just fucking do art all day, every day. Whatever you do, if you practice deliberately with 100% concentration, you will get exhausted in several hours. Also consider this - you will die and even the most beautiful art you create will be forgotten. What do you want to achieve and why? Isn't it better to enjoy yourself regardless of how many hours you put in?
  3. @Pere "Show Your Work" by Austin Kleon is exactly about building an online presence. Your work doesn't even have to be great. It has to be good and it has to improve. Well, it also has to be original. The most valuable advice I can give is to go slow and steady, start small, enjoy the tiniest achievement and be smarter than the competition. For instance, make a list of 50 best ideas to improve your art and market it better. Try every single one. If nothing helps, which is unlikely, you can always find another 50, and so on. You're in the right place, just keep going. And yes - add links to your work in your profile description so everyone could see it.
  4. Have you tried pursuing either of the two? What are your accomplishments and experience in each? Apart from Leo's advice, it's a good idea to talk to people who actually do what you do, see how they work, what they deal with, what character traits are required etc. I don't believe you can theorize your life purpose. It's mostly an experiential thing.
  5. Too little information to give a satisfying answer. What do you want to do in music? How do you know you have a passion for it? A passion for what exactly - listening, performing, composing, teaching? You want to become a professional at what? What genre do you want to work in? What do you know about your country's music industry? Before you answer these questions, you can't make a sensible decision, not to mention expecting someone to help you with it. Here's a piece of data. The absolute majority of musicians combines music with working part-time. You don't have to have an MBA or be an engineer. You can just design your life in such a way that your part-time work that takes 4-5 hours a day will allow you to pay the bills and devote the same 4-5 hours a day to music. Which is enough to reach a very good level in 4-5 years. Is it realistic for you? Are you willing to do this? Do some self-reflection, then ask again.
