@Thought Art It sounds like you're on the right track. Hold on to your hunches about your secondary life purposes (e.g., being a spiritual teacher) - those visions will grow over time if you truly believe that you want that. I suggest that you have fun every day for the rest of your life. Nurture the fuck out of yourself, and your creative visions should automatically strengthen. Also, don't put too much pressure on yourself to preform. Aim for 75% performance each day; on your good days you'll naturally exceed that. Just keep on reminding yourself how AMAZING the payoffs will be. Hope this helps ~

Either go on a retreat to South America (where it's legal) or find somebody. Since it's illegal in most places nobody is going to give you an answer here. That's the cold truth. -
I like the jacket on this one. It's deliberately long with calm, neutral colors. I think my style is black and grey t's with dull-colored shorts in the warm months. Winter's more complicated because layers are involved, and it's currently below zero Fahrenheit where I live It's funny because after I posted this I started looking up different people who I know dress well. I used to watch lots of hockey and everybody always talked about how well Henrik Lundqvist dressed:

@Fredodoow How have you and only you been personally attacked about your race/gender in a way that oppressed you? Examples? Try some introspection. What if, and this is a big IF - what if you're deceiving yourself by clinging to false thought patterns. Make no mistake, every human who had ever lived has done it, so please don't take it personally. -
WonderSeeker replied to LfcCharlie4's topic in Society, Politics, Government, Environment, Current Events
@LfcCharlie4 Not a viewpoint but more of an idea. We should repurpose large plots of land, such as cemeteries and abandoned golf courses in order to use the freed-up space for more practical, "22nd century" aims. Of course, this will be resisted by conventional egos (removal of cemeteries by conformists/diplomats and golf courses by experts, achievers, and Donald Trump). So perhaps in areas where the majority of people have transcended lower thinking/being, we can clear the way and put in green energy technology, fitness/recreational parks, let second-growth forests bloom, or something else. -
I like this one: you just have to change the colors, lower the U-cut and BOOM! You're Aladdin! Who would've thunk it.

Jesus Christ, I've never seen anything like this before! Very interesting. That's the plan -- thank you for sharing!

This is VERY helpful - cheers!

@Felli Did you accidentally take a bite out of the bowl? Looks great!

@Michael569 @Preety_India Do either of you know anything about the quality of PUR filters? I'm not at the stage when I can invest hundreds on something long term yet. Thanks!

@James123 Of course. But we're talking about ego development here. Be fluent in "your" paradigms. -

@BipolarGrowth Woah. -
WonderSeeker replied to Cammy's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@Cammy What is the most important question I should be asking right now? It's funny because the answer to that question is that question. But seriously, it never fails, so give it a shot! -

If you don't need sex, then what's the problem? Transcending survival needs doesn't mean ditching them. It just means that they aren't top priority anymore. Or put better, survival needs become more automatic - they aren't a struggle to fulfill. Well, having sex is a part of life that we have the freedom to partake in. So looking at it holistically, yes, you're lopsided even if you claim you don't need it. (And being lopsided isn't necessarily a bad thing; it's just that you're missing a part of the puzzle if you want the most WHOLE understanding.) But as I say this, I have a friend who is asexual, so she really doesn't need to worry about that dimension. There are always edge cases with these things -

@Username I'm curious, what's turquoise like from your subjective experience? -

Ego development is just one line of development. In the field of developmental psychology, there are researchers studying different aspects of the self, and essentially all of these different aspects go through the same levels. So in theory, you can have a construct-aware ego, with a 5th-person, cross-global, cross-paradigmatic view. But you could still have less-developed relational view, where you've had limited relationship/sexual experiences. Think about a monk living alone in a cave. His development will surely be lop-sided like this. -

@MrDmitriiV I'd say weed is hit-or-miss. It can amplify new insights you had just before using. But psychs usually do a better job of that. -

Yesterday "I" had my first genuine enlightenment experience. I was two hours into a LSD trip and in the fetal position. As I gripped a bed pillow, crying in the face of sheer love, something clicked and it felt like a profound shift had taken place. The problem is, I don't remember "it" because NOTHING happened. The conventional self-sense, whatever you take that to be, dissolved into the rest of the universe, forming a complete union, which can't be seen, heard, smelt, whatever - because it is itself ! (Of course, language is dualistic so this entire description is and always will be factually misleading, because there was nothing to dissolve in the first place. "I" already am the universe.) Total mind-fuck. It shook my core and blew my whole mind apart. I get chills and goosebumps when I think about it. As I anticipate an ego backlash, this sequence from Despicable Me comes to mind. The pillar is the 'ego' and the man is my 'mind.' Just for laughs!

@Tim R Thinking in terms of ego development, pluralists tend to be more compassionate about furry animals. Even so, most of them will still kill bugs if they're inconvenienced. The difference-maker could be promoting higher spiritual development. Doing actual practices such as meditation, that calm the limbic system in your brain so you can chill out and not crush that ant the next time you see it. Ever since I started meditating one year ago, I've looked at animals with more awe and wonder. I let flies and ants crawl on me and just watch, without the need for knee-jerk responses. It's actually a fascinating shift in relating to the living world!

@Max Stirner By far the easiest way is to work in a mill. I did that for 5 straight summers and made $2,400 per month. But it will be a complete culture shock and you'll realize how wage slavery can screw people up. Only do it if you have a strong and stable mind, with the intention of quitting when you have enough money and not getting trapped.
