  1. It isn't called with the same name. Infinite, unconditional Love
  2. @Leo Gura Or are you saying I am experiencing the 'rest' of the universe, but I just cannot see that within the human mind? Or something?
  3. But how can you say that and also say there is only my direct experience? Aren't I doing both simultaneously?
  4. but you just confirmed my question: "Or am I actually consciously creating those things on a level of awareness that I cannot reach within the mind?"
  5. I agree with you. I would be interested in what @Leo Gura would say.
  6. @electroBeam Right. I think I've caught myself creating boundaries / layers.
  7. I see. the difference being: Rules are imagined by the mind, but physiology is imagined by Mind ( capital M ). Right?
  8. If not the brain, what is physiology ? I don't imagine its necessary for consciousness. However, if someone were to remove my frontal lobe, would it not change something? Proving that it is necessary for my mind to operate? Even though I have many questions, this does clear things up alot for me. I was stuck on thinking that you and many others meant there is no such thing as 'indirect' consciousness, and there is only my direct experience. Which I now know is not the case. Thanks. Because I am perceiving them through the prism of mind. But consciousness has created them in actuality?
  9. Rules are real in the sense that imagination is real, but aren't in the sense that they are nothing more than that. I don't quite understand what that implies about physiological states though.
  10. I said mind, not consciousness. Either way, beside the point.
  11. @Mikael89 Where did I state otherwise? And technically they are not different. The mind is consciousness.
  12. love as you know it is much different to Love
  13. My friend and I have come across a 'declassified' CIA document known as the 'Gateway process'. It mentions things like hypnosis, meditation, consciousness, and absolute infinity, however it seems rather quantified / materialistic. Still, I am extremely confused as to why the Central Intelligence Agency would be researching such things. If anyone would be willing to give it a read, or if you know anything about this 'gateway process', feel free to reply! https://www.cia.gov/library/readingroom/docs/CIA-RDP96-00788R001700210016-5.pdf ( By no means do I believe what is being said in the document, or expect anyone else to, I just want someone advanced to give me a quick analysis )
  14. It's not like the psychedelics are a glitch. They affect your brain, lessening the grasp of ego-mind. Whether you are imagining your brain or not, that is the way it works in this reality. Sounds materialistic, but it's not. Leo once said here that "Chemistry is a very deep layer of the dream".
  15. I do that when I meditate, I wouldn't call it enlightenment
  16. Probably a thought loop of some sort. The acid doesn't do all the work for you, sounds like you were expecting something from it. I think mushrooms are better for just, going along with the trip, like you are in the backseat.
  17. Then you're already half way there, my friend What is existence to you? You have admitted that there is nothing other than mind. 'Objective reality' is a concept within that mind. How could it be anything more? Consciousness is existence. There cannot be an objective reality. Even if you subscribe to the materialist paradigm, this reality is not as concrete as you think it is. Although it appears to make sense logically, logic doesn't even apply to all aspects of the universe. Look at quantum theory for example ( whether you believe it has metaphysical implications or not, you will realise infinity is all that there is ) There is only one
