  1. @Serotoninluv I don’t think that looking at them as performance enhancing drugs is the right analogy. Think of psychedelics like a rocket ship that blast you off to a far away destination like the moon, while meditation is like driving in a busy street to your local grocery store in your sedan. Both the rocket ship and the sedan are methods of transportation. Both the sedan and the rocket ship are technologies that benefit us, but the rocket ship is more powerful and has a different use than the sedan. The sedan will probably cause less damage if misused than the rocket ship, and you will probably use it a lot more. Both are useful but for different purposes and in different contexts. In the same way, psychedelics and mediation are just spiritual technologies used to explore and raise conciousness., each having a different use in terms of both frequency, setting, and purpose. I think it is very harmful to view psychedelics as some kind of performance drug, rather we should view them as powerful spiritual technologies, just like the rocket ship which is a powerful method of transport. And in that way powerful technologies should be treated with care and used infrequently.
  2. @Lento Well, we have to start somewhere. That’s how you and I are communicating right now.
  3. @LastThursday Don't listen to they naysayers. We only watch the videos and go on the forum for the content, don't be fooled by anything else. If you want to awaken, do that in your own time. If the content helps you awaken, then that's a bonus. Context is just as important as content. Which is why introspection is necessary. Pay attention to the structure because it is what holds everything together. How else do you get a bunch of people at very different stages of development to interact together? Good question. Perhaps you could sort them by what stage on the spiral. Perhaps before signing up you would make people fill out a questionnaire which would accurately rank them at a certain stage of the spiral and they would have a badge next to them which would indicate which stage of the spiral they are in. Then these individuals would get sorted into their respective forums, and there would be one main forum where members could interact from all stages of the spiral. Perhaps we could even create an AI program to recommend people with similar values on the forum via certain keywords they use in their posts. Perhaps this AI program would move you up the spiral when certain key words start getting mentioned more. This would allow for a community with structure yet would be fluid enough so that multiple people on the spiral could interact.
  4. @Lento the question is, are you a skeptic?
  5. @purerogue I understand that, but it would still be nice to get some feedback. And you never know, he might read this and actually get something from it. No one is above criticism after all. We all have our flaws.
  6. @Raptorsin7 His other advice is pretty good. He’s also a fairly advanced yogi, but yeah I agree he doesn’t know what he’s talking about when it comes to psychedelics. I’m not going to throw the baby out with the bath water tho.
  7. @Leo Gura Recently stumbled upon this game called Dreams for PS4. Users can create anything they want including games, music, movies, and art. It is very accessible to the average console player and people have already created some amazing things. Your imagination is the limit. This is basically GOD the game. It reminded me of your video “what is reality?” and your video on consciousness. It seems pretty revolutionary for the gaming industry. Any thoughts?
  8. @IJB063 Psychedelics and meditation are the best way to reconnect
  9. @Leo Gura I strongly identified with you when you said that you had struggles when you were younger due to moving from Russia at a young age and didn’t really fit in. My parents are from India, and I always struggled to fit in with my peers just because I looked different from them and had a different cultural background. I grew up in Florida my entire life, but there were very few minorities in my class (maybe one or two others). I always felt ashamed of my Indian side and suppressed it as I was made to feel ashamed of it by peers and bullied for it. I told my parents to stop giving me Indian food to eat at lunch and instead buy me lunchables. I also had a lot of struggles socializing because my parents were very strict and conservative while my peers could do what they wanted and their parents were extremely liberal. Additionally I feel fairly isolated as my extended family is in India and I can’t relate to them due to cultural differences. I also have difficulty speaking the language. I do feel a bit conflicted about embracing my parents culture vs ignoring it. I was wondering if you have gone through some of these issues yourself. Do you visit your family in Russia often and do you struggle with the language? Do you identity as just American or does your Russian background play a part in your life? Have you been bullied for your Russian background or food? Were your parents strict like many immigrant parents? Do you still feel different from others?
  10. @Derek White ultimately all culture is relative, yet our psyche is deeply embedded with the culture that you grew up in. It’s a very difficult task to pull yourself out of it.
  11. @Preety_India well I guess the sad part is that am American in the sense that I was born and grew up there, yet I often got treated differently anyway. I am now starting to learn more about India and it’s culture which I wasn’t exposed to that much when I was younger. I guess none of it matters in the end since the world is becoming more global, but at the time of me growing up in the 2000s people were a lot less tolerant which has left a scar on me to say the least. I guess my work now is to integrate these identities and then eventually realise myself to be God and that all the identities are false.
  12. @Preety_India do you think that being an NRI will be detrimental to my chances? I don’t mean to be offensive but many Indian men that I see don’t take care of their health, and they don’t wear deodorant. They also wear mismatched clothes and when hanging around them, make very misogynistic comments. Not all of them are like this as I have a lot of Indian NRI friends who are really chill and some locals. The problems seem to from those that grow up in villages or have not been exposed to multiculturalism. In America it’s generally frowned upon to act like that, and many Indian males that come to US are considered FOBs (fresh off the boat) and it is used as a deragotory term. Over time they become more westernised however. Perhaps this is one reason that Indian women are more selective. From what I observe Indian women generally take better care of their appearance and are nicer. They probably have a difficult time dealing with these issues and thus are more cautious.
  13. @Roy I think I might go to Bhakti fest with my yoga teacher this year. He also runs a yoga studio where I could potentially meet people. Unfortunately I am India right finishing my medical degree. I do frequently go back to Orlando to see my family, so I might be able to meet someone. I know spirituality is pretty big in India, but since I grew up in the US it’s fairly difficult to relate to people here as the culture and language are different.
  14. @Preety_India I am actually in India right now, finishing up my medical degree but im an NRI or ABCD (American born confused desi).I left 2 years ago because it was difficult for me to adjust to medical school and india. During this period I was working near a college in Florida that my girlfriend was attending, and that’s when all this stuff happened. I was born and raised in Orlando, FL but my parents are Indian. They sent me to India to do medicine (against my will) after I finished high school. I’m back in India again due to parental coercion and inability to support myself, but I don’t exactly know how to interact with girls here, since the culture is very different. I know that they tend to be more conservative. I’ve never been into pickup and dont find the appeal. I want to be in a relationship, and I don’t want casual sex or one night stands. I know you said I should do cold approaches, but I don’t know if that will work in India. Since you are from India, and a girl, perhaps you have some input on this.
  15. When I started watching actualised.org, I didn’t know about the spiral dynamics model, and knowledge of it completely shattered my world view. After this realisation, I started watching many stage turquoise content and got into yoga and other spiritual pursuits. I know that I’m not a stage turquoise, yet much of still resonates with me. If i forced my growth by meditating all day or doing powerful psychedelics, would that negatively impact me? Would it be a natural outcome? It’s hard for me to pinpoint what stage I am now, because it seems like there was some kind of artificial intervention in my growth process after discovering Leo’s videos. Don’t get me wrong, they helped me tremendously, but I don’t want to convince myself that I’m at stage turquoise when I’m really not. Any ideas on how to pursue a more natural growth process?
  16. As it has become quite obvious in the past decade, neuroscience has made massive leaps in its understanding of the brain. Elon musk has developed a technology called neuralink which is essentially a brain implant which can send and receive signal to and from the brain to other brains and computers. While this technology is in its infancy, I can imagine that 30 or 40 years from now, it will be quite advanced and be able to target specific neurons. There is a very high possibility that it would be able to mimic the effects of drugs like 5meo-dmt and could be a pathway to permanent enlightenment, by continuously stimulating production of the desired neurotransmitter. If this technology becomes available on the market, which is likely within our lifetime, would you or would you not get the implant?
  17. @Sick Boy i understand what you’re going through. I had to struggle to let go of my habits, but here’s what I learned. Initially when you develop a routine like yoga, it will be hard to let go of these external distractions, however if you did it for long enough, you will naturally drift away from these things. My second piece of advice is surround yourself with people who have healthy habits, this is a huge one and I have seen people who were overweight in high school become extremely fit because their friends in college were gym freaks. 3rd piece of advice, go cold turkey by going on retreats back to back. I recommend Isha yoga. My final piece of advice for you is to get it out of your system, but at the same time pay attention to how it is affecting you. What I mean by this is to go party as much as you want, eat as much fast food as you want but then keep a mental note on how it affects you. This will make you stop, although it is not guaranteed to work. Watch the video “awareness alone is curative” by Leo.
  18. @Preety_India I was thinking of joining a Isha Yoga program, but it would be in a different state, so I probably couldn’t maintain contact. There must be stage orange people that are healthy too right? Like people that workout at the gym and have a successful career?
  19. I know @Leo Gura has explained conciousness in detail, but I am still confused by a few things. Why are humans concious? Why are humans able to raise their conciousness, while other animals cannot? Why is a rock not concious? If a rock is something within conciousness, should it not also have the ability to be concious? I’m also confused between self-awareness and conciousness. What exactly is the distinction. If an animal took a psychedelic, would it become aware of no-self and god-self, would It even be able to understand what happened to it? If a worm has a low level of conciousness, and a human has a higher level of conciousness than a worm, then this indicates that the size of the brain regulated levels of conciousness. If humans are able to reverse engineer all the neural networks and neurons in the brain and make a gigantic brain, would it then automatically be much more concious than us and become immediately aware of the nature of reality?
  20. @Nahm but also talks about raising our conciousness to become aware of what conciousness is. How is this possible if everything is pure conciousness? Also if we built an AI that was an exact replica of our brain but much larger, what would it’s “level of conciousness” be. Leo explains that spiral dynamics is a process in which humans collectively become more concious, so if a rock or animal is conciousness and doesn’t believe it is separate from it, then does that mean it’s enlightened and at the top of the spiral?
  21. @wheelspawn Heavy use and careless promotion of these drugs is dangerous and reckless, both for Leo and this community. Leo's hyperreligiosity and insistent claims of godhood suggest that he is attempting and succeeding in permanently dissociating himself from reality. Any sensible person would be extremely cautious to go down this path... have you ever considered the possibility that he might be right. That if you went down this path, you would realise what he did. Notice your demonisation of something you don’t fully understand. If you think these theories of conciousness and science trying to explain psychedelics are sufficient then you are clearly the deluded one. These are just theories. Science isint even close. If you were truly skeptical of these claims then you wouldn’t be on this forum trying to convince people of your viewpoint and telling them that this is a cult. It’s very counterproductive. If you want to accept the mainstream narrative that’s up to you, but dont attack people that are seeking the truth. You assess the risks and dangers, ultimately YOU are responsible, not Leo not anyone else. If you really think it’s BS you wouldn’t be on this forum at all. Clearly you are looking for a fight at a subconscious level. Also most people that act “sensibly” are fucking miserable.
  22. @Gili Trawangan I became aware of Teal Swan recently. She had a pretty horrible childhood as well. I wasn’t aware of this video though, I’ll check it out.
