Yeah too much mental masturbation is such an easy trap. I get humbled when I hang out with high-achievers who actually put their knowledge into action. -
@Husseinisdoingfine I remember seeing his comments on Leo's older videos
-
Yeah ego backlash is rampant in the comment section. Seems like a lot of people who watch Leo's videos have built their identity around conspiracy theories, which makes sense since a lot of spiritual teachers talk about such things.

Apple is amazing at marketing. They were exposed for slowing down older phones and everyone seems to have forgotten about it. I still have my 6 year old Samsung S5 which surprisingly works fine.

Yeah most people don't know shit about food and health so it's best to take casual advice with a grain of salt

What is hero dosing?

A car is more efficient at covering distance when compared to walking. But, like all things, there is an equivalent exchange that has to happen here. A car is more dangerous compared to walking, and you also lose the health benefits of walking. A car also takes more skill than walking. This is the price that is paid for the luxury of driving a car. Similarly, with psychedelics, it is faster than conventional methods but it does not adhere to the level of development your ego is at. This is the trade-off you get with psychedelics. With psychedelics, you force Truth onto yourself regardless of whether you are ready for it or not. You do not need to do any consciousness work in order to take psychedelics. This leads to the possibility of your ego being underdeveloped during the trip and creating a severe backlash. It's the difference of jumping straight into a cold shower rather than starting at a warmer shower first and making it colder from there. -
Sounds like the ego is hijacking your synchronicities. Idk why, but it seems like there is fear of being stalked or watched in your experience of synchronicities. I describe it simply as "the universe talking to me", whereas you say "the universe stalking me". The difference in wording there is interesting.

My recent one was seeing 1985 everywhere. It feels like the universe is talking to me and showing me how interconnected I am with it. -
the purpose is whatever you want it to be

It's funny when people read religious scriptures and see that it says "God is everything" but somehow exclude themselves from the equation. The ego maneuvers its way out of that one. -

The trade-off is that you need no practice or consciousness work to take a psychedelic, whereas sober you must develop yourself and fix up your ego prior to reaching that state. When you take a psychedelic it is very possible your ego won't be ready for the experience. When you take a psychedelic you force Truth upon yourself instead of reaching there at your ego's pace. It's the difference of immediately jumping into a cold shower instead of slowly turning up the coldness from a warmer shower first. -

Yeah man it just proves how much mental masturbation goes on here. Most high-achievers are aware of LOA and practice it. -

Yeah this makes sense to me. I think this is probably the actual explanation for deja vu. One day I woke up and like 4 of the things I did that day were also things I did in my dream that day. It was trippy. I've also seen the future in one of my dreams before -
Yep. The corrupted person actually doesn't even think he is corrupt, which is why he is corrupt in the first place. Even though this is about the view of other people and not the corrupt person itself, I still think ego applies here. I think saying "power corrupts people" is much more palpable for the ego than saying "people are unknowingly corrupt". The second one is much more threatening to the ego. Or maybe I'm reading too deep into this.

Self-deception. It's easy to say you have good intentions when you don't have the capabilities to pursue bad intentions. People will go in with good intentions but the ego is perfectly capable of pursuing bad intentions under the guise of good intentions. That's what the ego has been doing since day 1. They tell themselves they won't do it but when the opportunity presents itself they do. But first, the ego has to come up with some sort of reason to justify it, or else they won't be able to do it without feeling guilty. Classic ego tactic. It's a classic trope, someone "innocent" gets power and then "becomes corrupt". It's just that the leap in power is too great and they are not responsible enough to handle it. The power does not corrupt them or anything like that, it's just that they were never developed enough to handle such a high level of responsibility. Saying you won't do something is different from saying you won't do something when you actually have the power to do that thing. The ego will slowly come up with reasons once you are actually presented with the opportunity and persuade you into doing it. "it's not that bad" "you deserve this power" etc. Power simply presents the opportunity for corruption and the ego takes it. There is nothing about power alone that is telling you to use it for evil. It's all ego. Something funny I just realized while writing this is the fact that people blame power for corruption when it is in fact ego. And you know what the ego loves to do? Blame things other than itself. Reminds me of the quote: "The road to hell is paved with good intentions"
-
Power itself does not corrupt. It just creates more potential for corruption. You yourself have to already be corrupt for the power to be used in a corrupt way. This is why people can have a lot of power and still do good with it. It just depends on your level of development. When a corrupt person has no means of pursuing their corruption, they won't seem corrupt until they get enough power to do so.

Sadghuru only sleeps like 5-4 hours. He says its about eating the right food and being in tune with your body or something. So I think there might be some relation.

Is a dream physical? You can hold objects inside of it but does that count as physical? The boundary between physical and non-physical is just a superficial boundary you came up with inside your head. It's just a labelling game. "This thing is "physical" because it has these qualities. This thing isn't "physical" because it has these qualities." << see how boundaries are created here and then projected onto the universe? What if everything is your mind? And in your mind you have labelled certain qualities as "physical" and somehow thought of it to be separate from your mind? Exactly like a dream, where you think you are just one character but actually you are the entire thing.
