It seems to me that the main point of this excerpt is to teach you about your true nature as pure consciousness, so that you can differentiate it from your relative identity as a "body" or "human". It also seems that there is some different terminology being used. For example, he calls things that are relative "untrue". I'm having trouble understanding some of it, like "food body" and "child consciousness". But, I can see that he is trying to point to the pure everlasting awareness which underlies our conscious experience. He does, however, say at the beginning "When the material gets dried up, our consciousness vanishes" which could mean two things: 1. The word "consciousness" is being used in a way different from how we know it 2. He actually believes consciousness can vanish I don't know enough about him to confirm the above two possibilities. I can see why you're confused. EDIT: After reading through his definition of "child consciousness" I think theory number one is right. He says "The Absolute state cannot be obtained. It is your state now and always. To the Absolute state the witnessing of the consciousness happens." and he also says that "You will transcend that beingness, and you, the Absolute, will know that you are also not that beingness, that consciousness." Notice that he refers to the eternal state, and then creates a duality between that state and consciousness. I think this confirms his definition of consciousness is different from ours. -

You should give us the actual quote so we can dissect it But, there are multiple instances where you can be conscious without your body. So that's wrong. -
I don't understand the question

It does fade away, because you realize it never existed in the first place. It's a recontextualization. It's like when you walk up to the mirage in the desert and see it vanish. Now, you realize that the water you previously thought to exist was in essence just light-rays bouncing into your eyes, not actual water. Similarly, when you realize the ego doesn't actually exist, you see that it was in essence just a thought inside your head, not an actual ego which exists in reality.
-
You perceive the illusion of having an ego, not an actual ego which exists in reality. The ego is just an illusion which is perceived and mistaken for reality. It's like when a kid thinks Santa Clause is real. Santa Clause only exists as a thought, but the kid doesn't know that and mistakes it for something that is actual. Or, if you perceive a mirage in a desert, the mirage only exists as an illusion. If it wasn't an illusion, it wouldn't be a mirage. Same goes for ego.

perception = existence

Are you talking about nothingness here? Are you saying we need sleep to reincarnate? I'm having trouble understanding the post -
There is no "you" in any of this. Perception perceives itself. That's it. There is never any real ego experience. Ego is just an illusion, it's not real. What happens to the ego? It disappears because it is realized that it doesn't exist

It is. Imagine if Leo's video on the Devil was turned into a book. It's all about how the ego works and deceives you.

Cancel culture is just ego backlash. Might as well ask what the solution to ego backlash is. The answer is self-development, but we live in the dark ages of self-development right now. Napoleon Hill had to hold out on publishing his book Outwitting The Devil for 70+ years because his society was simply not ready for such a discussion, they would have killed him.

I think humans count as self-aware robots tbh. I wouldn't be surprised if it's possible to create a new conscious experience out of consciousness. I mean, that's what humans are. The duality between robot and non-robot starts to collapse because it seems to be a superficial duality in the first place. -
You probably know this already, but just to make sure, vitamin D and magnesium are just as important for regulating bone health so make sure to get that too. You could try a plant-alternative milk with lots of calcium just to be safe about the controversy around dairy milk. Also, exercise is apparently really good for bones too. And caffeine and salt intake can lead to higher calcium loss.

You have to try and speak their language. The Qur'an had to describe heaven as something similar to "72 virgins" to get it into their heads lol.

I can kind of see your point here, I had similar thoughts I think Leo was specifically referring to the claim "reality is a simulation". Even within a simulation it would still just be consciousness. So, at the existential level, it is never true. At the relative level, maybe. It could be possible that consciousness imagined a computer which then created more conscious experiences. But, in the end, this is all still relative to some story about computers and simulations. It still boils down to just consciousness imagining all of that. -

The duality between both collapses. As usual -
@Average Investor oh makes sense, thanks

This is a big one. So often I'll be stressed out about something, and then I'll realize I'm not actually stressed out because of the thing itself, but just the thought of it. The ego is really good at making simple things seem monstrous. -
@Yarco Wait the life purpose course comes with the booklist? Or is it a separate book list

I had the same experience randomly happen to me when I woke up from sleep, but it didn't last very long. That's pretty crazy that it just randomly happened to you while you were sitting in a car. This state is called turiya in Hindu philosophy, it is described as pure consciousness. I think it is accurate to say that you experienced nothing, as paradoxical as it may sound. That's how I describe it at least. Rupert Spira describes it as "absence of absence" which is pretty accurate too -
There was a similar conversation a while ago The truth is, that part of the brain gets shut down during most psychedelic trips, and then comes back a while after the trip. So, it's not instant enlightenment but more like a medically induced ego-death. Skip to 29:55 in this video for more info

"Experiencing nothing" is a paradox for the finite mind. You have to experience it yourself to truly know it. It's like trying to imagine the experience of having no eyesight. There are people who see absolutely nothing, not even black or white or any other colors. From this example you can see it is possible to be aware of nothingness. Now extend that awareness of nothing to all the perceptions that make up your reality, that's what complete nothingness feels like. You are actually experiencing some form of nothingness right now. You are never aware of what is behind your head, so you could say you are experiencing nothing there. You just take it for granted because you are so focused on the finite things you can experience. Now try to extend that feeling of nothingness to all your perceptions. This is basically the best I can describe it. The difference is that these are not experiences, just imagination. They're like the off-brand versions of nothingness. -

you'd be surprised -
A paradox is what happens when the finite mind tries to describe an infinite aspect of reality through its own superficially dualistic terms I realized this after I had an experience of nothingness. After reading that over, I realized that I experienced a paradox. It is entirely possible to experience nothingness, but impossible for the finite mind to reconcile that since it can only think in dualisms, so it gets turned into a paradox. It's impossible for me to imagine my experience of nothingness because in order to have a thought you need a finite object of some sort to think about. Here is one of my favorite ones: The second sentence is false. The first sentence is true.
