  1. That's what I've got maybe still to do (I mean the break ....). Anyways: I would try the Sedona method. It has helped me with some other negative emotions as well. The method is very simple: Focus on the feeling. You haven't go through this feeling for the rest of your life - it's just for the moment. Ask yourself: Could I let got of this feeling? (and answer it for yourself....it doesn't matter how you answer this question - just do it) Ask yourself: Would I let go of the feeling? (same as above - it doesn't matter what the answer is as long as it's really honest) Ask yourself: When would I let go of this feeling? (same as above) There are some videos on youtube about this method as well, but it consists of just these four steps. After doing this method several times your brain begins to question the emotion and slowly it fades away ....
  2. Improve my quality of practising was one of the main reasons why I started meditation. I've got no problems with coming around with new ideas for songs but maybe this got also improved by my daily practise. Sitting in front of the keyboard and practising was really hard for me because after only a few minutes my mind begun to wander (I felt like I got ADHD or something like this). This was really improved ....
  3. @Avi Thx for your answer. Technically it should be the same (more or less) for the body if the ejaculation is happening because of self-stimulation or sex. In the mentioned study the drop occured after abstinence of both ...
  4. I'm just curious: Could you be more specific? NoFap and NoSex or just NoFap? I ask because according to a (chinese?) study on this topic the male testosterone level accumulates while not ejaculating until the 6.(?) day but after that a dramatic drop in the testosterone level occurs. So your testosterone level should have been dropped to a very low level already ... According to my personal experience (with supplements, medication and blood tests) my well-being is strongly positive related to my testosterone level ...
  5. 100% agree. Nirvana is the end of all suffering. Becoming enlightened is the end of all suffering (you still feel pain when it's there but you don't suffer any more). So I would say it could be used synonymous.
  6. It's your choice - do what feels right and change when it don't feels right any more. I would probably choose option A or C. With option B you can get lots of money but during this period of time you can do anything else .... I can tell you that I always wanted to make music (I play piano as well). I'm 36 years old now. 10 years ago I've dropped my computer science study and opened up a webdesign company with my best friend. It went not very well, then I got into the SEO and online marketing biz and eventually promoting FOREX trading accounts now. You can get really much bucks there and I am trading also for myself. A few years ago I've finally realized that this isn't what I want to do. The whole business is really sick. I'm selling dreams ("get rich now!!") .... so now I'm trying to get somehow into the music business. I've realized this also far more years ago but perhaps the suffering wasn't big enough to made a change .... So if you are really into music you should go this way and not the way of making much money with some crap financial stuff ....
  7. Interesting that some people experience an improved focus while stopping masturbation. I've experienced after just two days that I get horny as hell, my mind tends to wander and daydreaming about having wild sex .... I've stopped this experiment after 3 days or so. Probably I could stop masturbation if I could get sex every day or every other day but going completely without it? Uhhh ....
  8. What if you want to be able to be just someone else? No offense. Well, it seems to be a bit difficult ..... perhaps you could push off some testosterone to become different ....
  9. In a nutshell: You have to ask yourself a question and just "listen" for the answer. Don't search for an answer intellectually - just feel your way into the question and then listen ..... a question could be: Who am I? Where am I? When am I? Why am I? Who is listening/hearing/....? Probably you have to get your mind calm at first. So if you don't have any experience in meditation you probably have to do some meditation at first to calm down your mind.
  10. Not necessarily .... it is known that some top managers and other folks in leading positions have a masochistic/submissive affinity ....
  11. According to the research on psychedelics this is exactly what "alpha" primates constitute .... just let go ....
  12. For me I think it's possible to meditate with ambient or drone music as background music. Despite this I'm not doing it because I'm targeting to be able to meditate everytime and everywhere - not only when I'm in the right setting with the right music and so on ....
  13. According to some enlighted people the state of enlightment is more enjoyable than sex and slightly more enjoyable than psychedelic drugs .... so I think you have to undertake other measures to achieve this state .....
  14. I'm wondering why noone mentioned Gary Weber. Really great more scientific approach to the enlightment theme: Together with Rich Doyle he is doing some great dialogues as well:
