Imagine you've never seen any kind of video game before. Here you are inspecting it for the first time, "what does this button do, oh it turns on, oh there's some graphics on a screen [ game name is _____ ], what happens when I press this? Oh now I'm a first person character. Interesting terrain. What happens when I do this? I wonder what's around this corner", etc. There are a few things we can infer from that sentence: The video game is activating: curiosity memory (you'll need to remember the locations) perceptual capabilities relational abilities --- knowing that x button corresponds to y action and more To this end, the video game is mentally stimulating and to the extent that the game continually activates these regions of the brain, you're probably making yourself more intelligent. However for most games this is simply not the case given how the monotony of video games can often eventually be compared to "real life" which is the very reason why video games might become boring after a while. However, most games these days often have many psychological elements that, even though the games themselves are no longer especially mentally challenging in the way they were initially, are keeping you hooked because of said psychological conditions. Those psychological conditions could include but are not limited to: making you feel like you're doing something productive when in reality your brain is just being tricked making you feel like you're achieving something when in reality, its analogous to just imagining a scenario in which you're achieving something making that psychological mechanism simultaneously ridiculous in its action but quite humorous and elegant in how sneakily it tricks people when its used in video games making you feel like you're special making you feel like you're a part of a community even though most gamers rarely meet each other in real life, there's many games that are taken online where people are quite avid supporters of the league they may be a part of, analogous to being football player or a basketball player in a major league sport for example even though you may not get paid nearly as much per year (though I'm not saying gamers don't get money - but most don't that's the reality) many more So if we take the initial conditions that turn the video game into something that's a legitimate mental challenge and apply them to real life, all of a sudden the novelty presented by the games themselves when applied analogously have great use. You shouldn't be trying to understand a game in order to "have fun playing it", you should be learning to have fun trying to understand all of life. This doesn't mean I'm at all against playing games for community fun when the time serves approrpiartely, not individual fun though, at least not unless its truly benefiting ones brain, which it arguably doesn't and in many cases arguably puts it in reverse depending on the game itself relative to suitable comparisons. Chess for example is analogous to a video game, if all video games were made to the complexity of chess and Go, I'd be all for it but its not, its turned into something where they just want to hack your brain. So now its dangerous. Legitimately. As for real life, you're here right now playing that video game at the beginning. What do all those icons correspond to on the bottom left hand side of this page? Who's the owner of them? How did they create that business? What are its negative effects versus positive effects? What kind of alternate platforms might be created in the future? And if you just keep on playing that game, wow, you'll be living a much better life in 12 months time if this is something you're not used to.

No. I'm not convinced on the idea of good or bad yet however, he's just a body to me. Kanye West is the best candidate next to Bernie Sanders followed by Trump. On KW - The heart is greater than the mind when the mind is soiled. We live in a society that conditions people to treat folk similar to Kanye like a crazy person. Kanye is much more sane than Biden. By far. It all just depends on how you define sane.

I don't think an adequate language and subsequent mapping has been built around moving towards higher consciousness that is really well grounded. This is a thread to promote discussion therein about building a map (not the territory of course) about what that may look like from beginning to end. I will contemplate this for a while and have a preliminary map built for myself by the end of the year that I'd be happy to share. Feel free to share any ideas here, of course, this whole discussion area is dedicated to discovering related resources, but I just don't know of any cohesive systems that have been built.

Oh and you know what else I want, I want more of the lowest IQ people in third world countries to keep on bypassing our (Australia here - I know many of you are from USA and elsewhere) shitty immigration laws to keep growing the consciousness of our country! YES BRING EM IN AND NO ONE SAY A THING UNLESS ITS POLITE! What would make it better? Bring em ALL to this forum, yes we need more retarded people here! MORE! YES! YES! I'm HAVING AN ORGANISM RIGHT NOW JUST THINKING ABOUT IT!

@Applegarden And they use "you hurt me / you're hurting others" as their narrative for why you're bad and should go see a priest who's fucking children.

POTENTIAL CURE IF YOU ARE NOT SO BRIGHT (meant with all sincerity): If you are not so bright the smartest thing you could do, and I mean this sincerely because it is a major problem on the planet and yet no one is prescribing a cure, and you'll thank me after, is literally, become a buddhist, go to wherever you can to just literally sit and meditate, but don't just mediate, what you should do is instead train your mind all the time, do something like spotting patterns within patterns continuously (recalling the same patterns you saw before so you train working memory simultaneously), afterwards based on your findings within those patterns you're going to use method of loci to store them away and use when you notice similar patterns that you store away and compare with the same method - so you'll also be mastering your long term memory too. Then overtime, I actually think based on my own limited experimentation, that you'd become smarter, especially if that was your full time job. Imagine if Rüdiger Gamm did this instead! Look up his case.
-
@Leo Gura you're so stupid, what you should have said is you'd pay a shit load of money to get MORE stupid people into culture so that the problem will become louder faster and people will want to act faster in turn before the problems they actually cause in the long term actually get too bad. So what we need is MORE dumb people to wipe them all out completely. And wipe out, interpret that as you wish, regardless we all need to become smarter, so biologically we may come up with a cure.

Learn as much as you can about all cultures across the planet is another important point, for example, I'm from Australia and the amount of varied opinions and subsequent morality that people have been forming about the COVID-19 issue and subsequent restrictions just shows you how just in one culture there can be such varied perspectives (and again, subsequent morality). Intelligence, both emotional and cognitive empathy, ego development, traditional and therefore insufficient views on moral development and just so many other ares of human individual and collective psychology I've learned go into peoples moral decision making more than simply saying "Is it right to do this or that?" it's more a case of "in what areas of this organisms makeup implicated in moral decision making and how developed are those areas? In short, concerning this video and people's responses on just one of the many issues here, in this case Daniel Andrews, have been extremely stupid and morally unjust, and not because they're necessarily wrong, but that the necessary investigation has not been able to be carried out for a sufficient enough evaluation. That's immoral because it naturally leads to poor decision making concerning a person. It happens ALL the time across the planet in both political and general social outfits, people being scapegoated for no reason to people being propped up for the wrong reasons. People don't have a good enough understanding of their cognitive, emotional and physical (among other) processes, so, their morality will continually be screwed up and they'll be continually manipulated by news-media who know how to play their cards there by pigeon holing leaders, parties for better or for worse, another great example concerns the latest Trump and Biden debate (my preliminary comments there can be found in my recent comment history).

Don't get too caught up in the mind, that's when morality becomes justified murder. Don't get too caught up in the body because we're capable of misinterpreting situations. Most people have zero understanding of morality, which means you have to build your own. I'll tell you now, there's going to be a balance between the body, the mind, the heart and even consciousness itself. As far as I'm aware, we have ZERO books on getting the balance right here, so good luck with that. It is not black and white. Don't fall for either the intellectual or the emotional traps, one leads to moronic nihilism and the other simply to juxtapose goes too green (empathy on steroids, and as we know, steroids can have many drawbacks). Look around you, look at all the main movements from politics to gender issues to racial issues to x cultural issues. We don't have morality right just like alligators can't make poached eggs on toast let alone ask you whether you'd like them scrambled, boiled or fried. It's an incremental learning curve, start with your emotions, middle it with your mind and end with your intuition. Seek all forms of incrementally higher understanding above all else, that'll incrementally improve your own personal definition of what morality you should be applying. No body here knows the answers of all answers if they take an honest look at cultural progressions overtime (every hundred years cultures see things very differently - but that tells you something, that you gotta be learning all the time about how to grow your understanding of not just morality but all of life), some better than others sure, but we're all likely wrong on everything to do with everything and a little better than others on some things like morality amidst that everything. On processes, think cognitive and affective empathy. Master them individually and how they interactively work and you'll develop and master effective empathy. Thus mastery of cognitive and affective empathy = effective empathy (aka productively utilised empathy). Effective empathy is just a new term I've coined right now by the way. Like I said, we're always evolving and consumer culture, that is, information which is readily available to us especially in the form of news media, is way, way behind. On principles, think of rules like the golden rule "do unto others as you would have them do unto you", that'll help you get an honest look at your ethics and what they mean to you and how you operate in the world in the context of how the world operates and where the rest of social life fits into that. Good luck! Don't take this lightly. Take your time. And trust yourself.

Education starts now. No other time. Whatever you want to learn, start it now even if its just strategically planning for yourself. Ostracise yourself from an obsolete system and enter the global scene of the internet age of education. Done right, you'll thank yourself in 12 months time. Don't think about status (like many of these morons fall for), think about the status of your ability to learn and your knowledge of your environment and how to master it. Peace out!

I destroyed this guy just the other day who's apparently got a PhD in philosophy and I haven't even finished a full year of university. That just shows you how useful it can be.

Yes. And I doubt Biden's reading off a script in last comment, just looks incredibly strange, I noticed that and as noted many other strange things like that throughout the debate as noted in page 2 of this discussion.
-
And holy shit, at 1:54:43 on the final question you see Trump addressing the speaker (WATCH HIS EYES AND BODY MOVEMENT) and then you see Biden who just looks like he's reading off a script looking up at one single point top middle. Look at this and some of the others (which I noted in previous comments (page 2 of this discussion)) which are just some of many I noticed about Biden. Like I said, my intuition proves itself time and time again. There is A LOT more bullshit from Biden's side.
-
And get this, at 1:49:50 he lies in EXACTLY the same way I noted above - on fracking. See the following:
-
Be careful watch Biden closely like I said my intuition proves itself time and time again, he's so good at painting this sweet and innocent image of himself (which is what he and his party stands behind even though there's so many crooks in their) while at the same time manipulating throughout the debate, especially in the beginning, three quarters in he rounds that up by standing behind that image while at the same time denigrating Trump's image. They're both wolves, the difference here is that Biden's no doubt about it a wolf in sheep's clothing. People have fallen for it hook line and sinker, they know it, so that's the marketing they pull upfront while he gets a blowjob underneath the table by Monica Lewinsky, its Bill Clinton all over again but at a lower level. Checkout these two clips and compare Biden and Clinton - I spotted it immediately and made this connection: 51:33 Biden "I have not taken a penny from any foreign source in my life" Bill Clinton - "I did not have sexual relations with that woman"
-
@Preety_IndiaMy intuition proves itself time and time again so I hope you're right Preety, if he does win may he and his party's pro's outweigh his many "con's" (double meaning). From Australia US matters of course so best.
-
Not sure why people didn't notice the many manipulative tactics by Biden throughout the debate: - foreign bank account (perfectly normal in international business) - tax returns - NK nuclear weapons Many others but I'm doing something else simultaneously so hard to pin point all of them. I'm from Australia so I have no vested interest here but Biden was extremely manipulative throughout, just trying to persuade the audience more than actually debate. Throughout the debate you just see Biden and I suppose the party he belongs to and is thus instructed by just taking advantage of the ignorance of the population on international affairs, international business, immigration and taxes in the context of larger-scale business.

Oh if you don't understand don't sweat it @preventingdiabetes I just won't comment not because I'm offended haha just that I wouldn't want to waste your time. It's difficult to explain, I can try but you'll have to be specific about which part of the message you want me to explain

I never take on an activity now where I am not emotionally pushing myself, be it reading a book or making a comment. Let that sink in with respect to the false dichotomy. If you're just exercising your body when you exercise for example, this is a waste of time in the context of emotional development, if you're pushing yourself, trying to experience the body as much as possible during the exercise, this of course is very different, now the novel you're writing as you put mind to action has more character, colour, tone... Emotional development. Emotional development should be a core part of almost any activity you take on, otherwise, can it be said that you're truly living?

Some of mine: Taking no notes on anything and using method of loci instead combined with continuously reinventing my experience via the imagination, new experiences and their synthesis as much as possible, where any designs, etc I come up with there, again, all method of loci haha. Some practical challenges therein, I want to be via my consciousness plugging into every single country across the planet at least for a few seconds each day to generate new ideas for myself, that would involve me first learning what all the names of the countries are and their locations across the world first, which will be another personal challenge for myself, this time geo-cultural to facilitate social creativity. Data = Synthesis = Creativity So, more data (in particular varied data) = more synthesis opportunities = more creativity And there's a balance to that relative to our capacities of course. Don't hold back. Explore. Design. Create. Google Earth: https://earth.google.com/web/

It's definitely a feedback loop. One thing you can do to continuously enrich such a feedback loop is to be always be taking in new experiences and new interpretations (critically examining, playing with the perceptions), ideally, towards some goal that lands you into some less experientially impoverished condition. What holds open people back is often less open people in their environment, but if you have the right paradigm, you're able to move beyond those "norms", other people are just a part of that loop affecting your loop on what you should be doing that, once you realise that as well, there's a greater sense of agency. The more knowledge you have on the loop, the greater sense of agency that will come and self authoring that's possible. Whether someone is enlightened or not is irrelevant, there's always more they can be doing to enhance their consciousness and what dreams get created in said consciousness, from a new staircase that better takes them to the heights of their imagination to a new window for the sun to come in and shine the path up that staircase, walk continuously up the cathedral hall of your feedback loop and do so continuously, and you'll be grateful you never went back down the stairs as you look down on the earth from heights you never dreamed of. [ other than this, most people often have other people in their head, they're known as "introjects", introjects, of which can often become inner critics among other, are never really thought of as malleable but they are relative to the new experiences you take in ]
-
Another thing I now do: 1. What is the most emotionally difficult thing I could be doing right now (in sync with time of day)? 2. Then sync answers relative to my highest goal which for me is consciousness expansion. (which has several aspects I'm working out still - so informational (i.e. read the best book I could be reading for my progress right now, write the right book, etc), energetic, emotional (inclusive of say a difficult workout routine) and physical (inclusive of things like neuroplasticity protocols because that's of course physical), spiritual (what giving activity should I be participating in right now? How can I GIVE it my all?), among other). 3. Schedule that "right now" to various time periods, so from right now to this week, this month, this year, etc. followed by number 2 again. Living life to the full is a highly strategic endeavour, but this aspect makes it all the more fulfilling. Don't underestimate how strategic you gotta be. Love.

Most people are like popcorn machines with their movements, ideas popup in their mind and that dictates their movements, thus they're without any kind of real agency beyond illusion. The best way to sustain happiness however is to use the brain to synthesise all of those ideas into one popping session and spread them out overtime in your mind that you'll carry out chronologically. This will give you a sense of control, heightened internal locus of control and thus increase the sense of agency as well as improving learning. Keep synthesising all of the ideas until you've filled your bucket of popcorn and you're ready to go to the movie theatre and watch your film play out. Sometimes there will be plot twists you were never prepared for, but they're learning experiences for your dream machine to learn from and plan for in the next popcorn making session followed by you playing out the film again!
-
Another thing I'm doing is using the method of loci for the construction of days, weeks, months, etc. It's normally used just for memorising knowledge but I find its got really great applications for planning as well. Life is a dream and your brain is a dream machine, have fund spending time constructing the movie in your mind that you'll re-inact in real life. Practice with small timelines, the next 5 minutes say, and then slowly build from there to 30 minutes, then to 1 hour and so on and so fourth to get practice in. You'll acclimatise to it, learning about what you can and can't do, are good at there versus what you need to improve on, so on and so fourth. And. Almost no one does this except for me. I've never heard of anyone using method of loci for dream creation and implementation. I'm always coming up with the most original ideas though haha . Best

Haha It actually gives me an idea, I'll contemplate how I may be able to start working on my propaganda for it so that it becomes more widely available to people (haha which could include some swimsuit models who knows --- but more artsy stuff there). But yeah, just a proper story that builds the neural pathways in peoples minds so that they have an easier time at grasping the greater essences. I see spiral, ego development, related as really truncated and simplistic these days. What they attempt is really ambitious which comparatively succeeds its predecessors but is still really below its potential But this isn't my thread let's keep things on track for @preventingdiabetes
