For the best best health eat cereals/rice/pasta for carbohydrates, pulses/nuts/seeds/ fermented soy for proteins, vegetables and fruits for all nutrients, mix them up as you like in a varied died and you're all set. That's good that you switched to a vegetarian diet, if you'll consider to progress to a vegan nutrition I would suggest the book Vegan for life, you can find it on amazon. I'm been vegetarian for one month, then switched to a vegan lifestyle and it's 4 months that I'm following it, because even for milk and eggs still animals gets killed after a miserable life and still you can't have the best health as a vegan nutrition. Just saying

Considering that nothing matter in the big picture and that your life purpuse can give you motivation for the rest of your life and evolve with you, ask yourself: wold I do that for free? or even better... Would I pay to do that? If your answer is no think something else

Well said mate, great that you're making such achievement considering what you had to deal, what doesn't kill you make you stonger! I have a manipulative dad as well, he actually has a bipolarity disorder, me and my family realised that just now so my mother is asking separation. At least was him that pushed me for go in England, where I'm now, from Italy,. He wanted me to improve the English to work in hotels like him, not sure if I'll follow his idea but definitely here I have greatest possibilities to become my greatest version. As says David Deida live like your father is dead, meaning do what's right to you always! Keep going and all the best! -
Hi It's long time I'm doing Enlightenment work with Self enquiry as suggested in Leo's videos, but recently i've been involved in Mantra Chanting Meditation with ISKC, International Society for Krishna Consciousness, in meditation sessions and celebrations. It seems more effective for me considering direct experience and knownoledge once i read about it. I'm wonder if anybody pratice Mantra Chanting and could it be as effective for reach Enlightenment? Or could it be possible that I'm just deceiving mysef for something new or different? Just a little downside I noticed is that usully I have to chant with lower voice for don't disturb the other tenats in my house, but it seems that it's easier to stay concius and aware with soun vibrations and they say that by chanting you purify yourself. Gorge Harrison and Jhon Lenon were among the devotees and composed songs ispired to the movement like My Sweet Lord, Living in the Matirial World and give Peace a Chance. This pratice it's even prescribed in the Vedas for this age of chaos and Confusion, from chant and Be Happy, The Power of Mantra Meditation: [...]According to Vedic cosmology, the material creation eternally passes through cycles of four ages. Each begins with a golden age (satya-yuga), then conditions progressively deteriorate , ending in Kali-yuga, an age charaterized by querrelby quarrel and hypocrisity. For each of the four ages the Vedas prescribe a universal method of self-realization just suited for that particular age. For instance, in Satya-yuga the raccomended path is mystic yoga, which involves a lifestime of unbroken yoga pratice accompanied by strict vows of penance and austerity. We are presently near the beginning of the last age, Kali-yuga. In this age people no longer have endurance, willpower, or life span necessary to successfuly pratice the original yogasystemdescribed in Vedas. the Vedas scriptures therefore advise "For spritual progress in this age of kali, there is no alternative, no alternative, no alternative to chanting the holy name, the holy name of the Lord." The Kali-santarana Upanisad specifically recommends the chanting of the Hare Krsna mantra: "Hare Ksna Hare Ksna, Ksna Ksna Hare Hare / Hare Rama Hare Rama, Rama Rama Hare Hare - these sixteen names composed of thirty-two syllables are the only means to counteract the evil effects of Kali-yuga. in all the Vedas it is seen that to cross the ocean of nescience there is no alternative to chanting the holy name."[...] So what do you think about that? If alternate with Self Enquiry could it be counterproductive? I leave a few exemple as it sound as well:

Music can inspire you, remind your higher values and goals, give feelings of happines and relax or make you think but it's best to choice carefully because there is a lot dumb out there, that said I believe that it's needed to approach new generes, artists and albums but as all of this it's so vast it's useful to look for the best for really expand the knowledge and inspiration of music. At the moment I consider among the best and useful for our journey artists such as Prince Ea, Tool, Dream Theater, Haken, Radiohead, Pink Floyd, Red Hot Chilli Peppers, Persefone, Death, Meshugga, Simphony x, Metallica

I'd like to reply with a quote becouse It makes absolute sense to me "Death is a life to life phenomenon, a life to life sleep. Every day you are tired. You fall into sleep and you regain your vitality, your aliveness in the morning; you are reborn. After a life of seventy or eighty years you are tired completely. Now such short duration of death won't do; you need a great death. After that great death or great sleep, you are reborn with a totally new body. " Osho - The Book of secrets -

The order is not important but It may be useful to concentrate in what resonate the most with you and your concerns, also for avoid information overload I would suggest to use the 80/20 Rule: Focus on the Top 20% — Identify the 20% of your effort that's responsible for 80% of your results. Also be careful for Theory vs Practice Ratio, your growth and results will stall if the ratio between your theory and practice gets out of balance.

What was your stariting point? what were your biggest struggles? have you ever thought to quit PU? if I am shy do you think it's fine if I develop my confidence with people in general or it might be better to stick just talking with women? Thanks in advice
-
Yes that one, if you search on google Mind, Body and Spirit Festival London 2016 you'll find it
-
Jolly good, the festival in London might be a good opportunity and there will be plenty of those stuff, have a look in the website mate

It's funny that you listed Fight Club because one famous quote of Tyler Durden is "Self improvement is masturbation. Now self destruction...". Just kidding I love Chuck Palahniuk which wrote the book that is much better than the movie of course.
-
I think a good way to see people of this community in person might be also to meet in special events in specific areas, I would suggest a specific section for that, like in London there will be the Mind, Body and Spirit Festival soon

I discovered recently Prince EA, he made some brilliant songs and give concrete advices and points of view on his youtube channel

I would recommend "365 ways to be your own life coach" by David Lawrence Preston, "How to Be Brilliant" by Michael Heppell, "The Book of secrets" and "Maturity – the responsibility of being oneself" by Osho.
