  1. @Alfonsoo Lighten her mood.. she’s your girlfriend that’s your responsibility to know how to make her smile/laugh. Then if you feel like you wanna apologise for your behaviour, you can. communication is key
  2. First you need to lighten her mood with a funny text or even just call her. First you have to get her laughing. Then, be honest. No more games..
  3. haruomi hosono 1984 (video comments are awesome)
  4. Interesting discussion. Gabor is ‘enlightened’ and doesn’t realise it. He is humble and honest and very wise. He seeks truth and questions Adyashanti.
  5. Dr Gabor maté - why capitalism makes us sick

  7. 500 days of summer not without my daughter closer lars and the real girl Nymphomaniac
  8. I purchased a shakti acupuncture mat after my brother and his wife were raving about theirs. He is a chef with 2 restaurant businesses so gets highly stressed and finds it difficult to switch off at night and get to sleep. Since using the mat for 20 minutes before bed he has been sleeping like a baby. His wife said the same. Since using mine for 1 week, I can confirm it is good to meditate on, since the burning sensation from the pricks kind of forces you to stay still and takes your mind off other things. I have fallen asleep on it a few times. It does hurt but In a good way, but I do question how good it is for the skin, since it leaves my back all red and like orange peel afterwards. Apparently you get used to it over time and eventually it won’t hurt anymore, and is good for overall well being. Does anyone else have any experience with one of these mats and have you continued to use it?
  9. @Alfonsoo don’t scrub your skin that will make It worse. Be very gentle and use lightly pat your face with a towel to dry it - don’t scrub. When you apply the cream also press on the face lightly. to summarise: use a cleanser and toner in the morning and at night. and use a hydrating gel cream look into retinols and acids for acne care. eat alkaline foods don’t pick at and touch your face drink lots of water also check out this website forum https://www.acne.org/forums/
  10. Products wise: Try looking at the product range’ the ordinary’ you can inform yourself on which acids and exfoliation to use in what order/how often. It depends on your skin type but research salicylic acid, glycolic acid and retinol for acne. https://www.google.de/amp/s/www.forbes.com/sites/margauxlushing/2018/04/25/how-to-combine-acids-and-retinols-in-a-skincare-routine/amp/ ‘Kiehls’ is a good skincare brand. I use the calendular cleanser and toner, followed by a skin serum and a cream from another brand. https://www.kiehls.co.uk/skin-care/collection/calendula drink green smoothies or green juices drink turmeric and lemon to reduce inflammation in the body. no processed, fried foods or dairy. No processed sugar https://www.freedieting.com/beauty-detox Don’t touch your face (and if you do wash hands first) Try and sleep on your back. use a zinc clay mask once a week for example: https://www.sephora.de/gesichtspflege/trockene-haut/crememaske/out-of-trouble-10-minute-mask-466540.html?gclid=CjwKCAjw88v3BRBFEiwApwLevTQDLWwrMTage7Dfmbs8kKudo47Ok2d_UPl72YGYETLRFMxP1be5QhoC3PgQAvD_BwE spritz your face with pure organic rose water to calm the skin https://www.douglas.de/productbrand_M1014342.html?cpkey=zbGOzr6lCcGAGeGizYoSIWUKVweJ5bDRMrInr_0EwsenxturC_LcoL6vRCMwtaS_&trac=de.01smm.goo.8788552640.308600445.100393087616.000000&gclid=CjwKCAjw88v3BRBFEiwApwLevbkaVgO32UdT5lXbmwsSdVOp5JviM9L6uOihYWdBCdcXZvl2CqBi_xoCV8IQAvD_BwE sorry some links are from German websites but you can research in your country.
  11. Interesting article about police system in Germany and how they reformed after WW2. You must first pass a personality test and intelligence test before you begin the police training. https://www.nytimes.com/2020/06/23/world/europe/germany-police.html
  12. Just came across 2 articles that give some explanation as to what it reallly means to ‘abolish police’ . https://www.mpd150.com/what-are-we-talking-about-when-we-talk-about-a-police-free-future/ https://www.mpd150.com/faq/ Fight crime with force and control or fight crime with love?
  13. @Son of leo "life advice for young people"
  14. @Onemanwolfpac yes I apologise I didn't word it right. I am still educating myself/exploring the topic. being bombarded with so much information over the last weeks, its a lot to process!
  15. I think he means if you actually *start* doing any Self actualisation at a later age it’s more difficult. Because it’s more deeply engrained in the psych and harder to change your behaviour! Not that you should know everything by age 30. It also depends on how much trauma you’ve had to work through. I really started taking a look at myself and my childhood around age 26, Now I’m nearly 32 and my personal development is only getting better things could have been different if I knew what I know now, 15 years ago, but I didn’t. Just be glad you’ve started your path already
  16. I think wearing masks will gradually stop over the summer and come back again in the winter. Berlin has zero air con so wearing a mask when it’s hot is unbearable and hard to breathe. Also, it’s looking like the virus hasn’t spiked much since easing restrictions, and there was a protest of 15,000 people last weekend (everyone wearing masks) , so let’s see!
  17. @Parththakkar12 I live in Berlin and things are getting back to normal here, pretty much. Lockdown began to ease over 7 weeks ago with places opening gradually. clubs still remain closed. you have to wear a mask to go inside shops. disinfection of hands when entering a place etc. Everything is open with a few rules here and there like no standing around/dancing inside bars/restaurants, you must be seated. people who can work from home are mostly still doing so where possible and that could remain that way - companies are realising that work can be done from home, so its better for them if they don’t have to pay rent costs for the office. But when you are outside it’s like corona never happened, everyone is out now that it’s getting hot again. I suppose there is no tourists, but I think that will change now the borders have opened up in the Schengen zone.
  18. The police would be more prestigious. Not allowing just anyone to be a cop. There would be strict training and vetting, who knows maybe even compassion testing lol.
  19. Sorry for bad quality twitter video but here is example of good policing in UK *Talking about the statue that was thrown in the river in Bristol*
  20. @Leo Gura yeah I understand that. But this would be a long term process, gradually defunding police and putting resources into other communities and focused on prevention. There would still be police for violent cases such as what you mentioned above. In most cases the police don’t help and people will avoid calling them. The long term goal would be more community support groups and violence prevention. It wouldn’t just be a case of suddenly removing all police, It would be step by step over many years and city by city etc.
  21. I’m not American, but would be interested to see what would happen if Trump wins the election again. I only recently found out how the Electoral college system works in the US... the person with the most votes doesn’t necessarily win? Will they ever change that system? How do you choose who to vote for when it’s between Trump or someone who also has been accused of sexual assault? Why do many people not care about the accusations made against political candidates? If Trump does win again, I can imagine all hell to break loose and even more riots.. If Biden wins, how will things look?
  22. If you actually track your period cycle, there is only certain times of the month when you could get pregnant, when the egg has been released (fertile window) most people don’t know or understand this. There is a certain time window when the egg is waiting to be fertilised, (in this time you could refrain from sex) then when it’s not fertilised that’s when you get your period. The pill stops the egg from being released, so usually when people get pregnant on the pill, it’s because they weren’t taking it constantly or skipped some days etc. Once you learn and understand the different phases of menstrual cycle you can see when you are at most risk to get pregnant. https://www.yourfertility.org.au/everyone/timing i have an period tracking app (called ‘flo’) it’s good and you can record different feelings and symptoms you have throughout the cycle, and can compare from previous months
  23. @Etherial Cat yes you have some good points and I can agree with some, but I also think it depends on the people involved. for sure when I was in my 20s I was very immature and had a a lot of growing to do emotionally. I didn't know how to control my emotions and would be partying a lot. whereas my Boyfriend at age 23 had a strong upbringing and so he has high emotional intelligence already. whereas it took me longer to get to the point he is at now. I have learned so much from him since we met, we both help each other in different ways. he also has already done a lot of stuff travelling and having different experiences, much more than what I had done at age 23. So actually if we met each other and were both 23, it wouldn't work. I have dated people the same age as me, who were very immature, couldn't be honest, just want to party etc. at age 30 plus. and they are still playing games and messing girls around now. sometimes you simply meet people who you really connect with and can learn from each other regardless of age. I'm not trying to control him in any way or make him do anything he doesn't wanna do. we are choosing to be together, and both are free to travel and go out with friends when we want. I Just don't think we (society) should be judging the older/younger person in the relationship for dating a younger/older person. we don't know what path they are on and what they have already been through to get to the stage they at now..
