The Point is that the senses themselves are just that: SENSES(Experiences of varied Types). They are not physical in nature. But, they correspond to physical reality through physical body and brain firings. But, even without the body, the individuality and sensory experiences continue. Only when complete liberation happens, then individuality dissolves into infinite Brahman(Infinite Consciousness / Oneness). That is why I previously explained it in terms of dream reality where dream brain seems to control dream character. But, in truth both are non-existent and Imaginary. What we call as senses like visual, auditory, tactile, olfactory, taste are just different configurations of infinite consciousness into those forms called senses. Consciousness does not have a restriction as to how many different types of senses it can configure itself into. Humans only have those five. During NN-DMT experiences, or even during meditation, people experience certain types of experiences which are not at all in the realm of our ordinary five senses. During such occasions new type of sensory realities are experienced which cannot be explained or perceived or understood through the ordinary five senses that we have; just like a blind person from birth who never seen colors can never be made to understand the reality of colors / visual perception. Among all the different types of experiences consciousness can configure itself into, physical reality is just a certain type of configuration which only makes it seem physical. Just like we have our current experience of realities and truths, similarly there are after-life truths and realities as well which we experience after physical death. But, in truth all of these are just dream of the one infinite consciousness. Most of what you said I agree with. Except for this point: It is true that the neurons fire with correspondence to our experience. But, even without the neurons and physical body, perception of varied realities still continues in a subtle way too. The individuation does not end with the physical form. Individuation itself is far more deeper than that. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kosha Individuation consists of: Annamaya kosha Pranamaya kosha Manomaya kosha Vijñānamaya kosha Anandamaya kosha Only Annamaya(Food based physicality) is what dies when body dies. Still the other sheaths of individuation continue with perceptions still alive. -

Not true. Try to contemplate this: Imagine If you are able to touch, see, smell or even taste your brain while it is functioning. If you look at the chemical and electrical firings that are corresponding with your current experience(You perceiving your brain) Those chemical reactions and electrical firing themselves are being perceived right? Even if you are to believe that those electrical firing somehow with certain combination are creating the experience of a perceivership(Individual mind), you still cannot deny the fact that the world is perceived/experienced differently by different creatures/minds. If that is so, then your perception of your brain is simply a projection of some reality which for you is appearing as a brain and its electrical firings. Other creatures may not perceive it the same way as we do. So, there is some higher subtle reality when it projects itself in the physical world, appears to us as physical(Even in physical, it doesn't appear the same to every conscious creature - So, no real objective reality as such.). Similarly, the same reality even after the death of the body still keeps projecting itself in its subtle way which is still perceived and experienced by the subtle mind(Individuated self). As long as physicality continues, brain is necessary. But, when physicality is shed, no need for a brain. But still, the experience continues in the subtle form. This subtle individuated form is what reincarnates again and again until it dissolves through enlightenment. As hinted above, even the so called physical is just an imaginary projection. In dream also we believe that the brain of the dream character is causing the dreamed experience which is felt as real. But, after waking up, we see that the so called brain of the dreamer itself is a dreamed object. Just like those dreams, even the current experience in the wakeful state is also a dreamed reality from the perspective of the absolute reality. So called brain is just an imaginary projection of the infinite consciousness or Awareness or otherwise called as Tao / Brahman and that Brahman is yourself and everything else while still being nothing at the same time. -

Didn't I already mention in my previous post that yes, some of the practices of OSHO are questionable and also some of the things Sadhguru says seem nonsensical. Where is the double standard in that. In absolute sense yes, anything is possible. But, to believe, accept & follow somebody who says he delayed the Sun from raising this morning. I don't know what to say to that. If so, why didn't NASA detect such a massive phenomenon. I guess, each to their own opinion.. I truly wish that you don't undergo any trouble in your journey. Thank you for being patient.. -
PopoyeSailor replied to lostmedstudent's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
If somebody is so innocent, that they can believe He delayed sun from raising early, then there's hardly anything you can say to them: In this video he says No human has ever gone beyond the breathable atmosphere of the earth. How do you explain space station? Even normal people with their telescopes photograph the space station and post them on youtube. Other normal people sent rockets to space with gopro cameras which leave the breathable atmosphere and capture the black darkness of space clearly. He claims moon is placed artificially by shiva and that it doesn't spin on its own axis(Which it does but is locked with synchronization of its revolution and rotation which makes it face earth with its same face all the time): Confirmation that children were beaten to awaken their powers: Nithyananda asked his disciple to drink his C*m and made other women to give him a Ha*dJ*b. Even left hand Tantra I think it only teaches to preserve semen and ways to control ejaculation, not waste the semen. Initimate video of nithyananda and actress Ranjitha which he claimed was doctored/morphed. But, the person in the above video confirming that such incidents did happen. He being intimate with anybody privately consensualy is not the problem. But using false teaching in the name of tantra to get intimate with them is the problem. Even Sri Sri Ravishankar seemed to have condemned his activities: https://www.indiatvnews.com/news/india/police-has-cds-of-swami-with-five-more-women-2766.html?page=3 It doesn't matter who the guru is, whether he is enlightened or not, whether he can awaken you or not. If that person is doing such things to others, do you think such a person should be empowered more by supporting them financially or otherwise? Won't he keep abusing others like this? If Osho or sadhguru or whoever else had done similar things and been proven, must be punished, there is no doubt about it. But, to my knowledge, allegations against sadhguru were proven to be false(Except his wife's death story which does make you question it.). Some of the practices of OSHO are definitely controversial. To my knowledge he didn't abuse anybody in a manner that nithyananda did. If OSHO also did similar personal abuses and torture practices like Nithyanandha, may be he deserved what he got. -

He'll not explain openly about the non-explainable concepts, because those explanations/interpretations vary from person to person and also people will form opinions without actual understanding of the truth due to such varying explanations for the absolute truth. People will call it woo.. woo.. and what not. If he had done that, he would not have been able to speak at Google Talks, UN, Davos Economic Forum, Interview with David Eagleman, various Universities etc.. His intention is to make people experience it directly through the practices he teaches. That's why most of the time he never reveal in-depth knowledge in public. People are not ready for that. He seems to reveal much of his knowledge in his books. I haven't read any of his books. Except for few chapters of: Death; An Inside Story-A Book for All Those who Shall Die: https://www.google.co.in/books/edition/Death_An_Inside_Story/ydzQDwAAQBAJ?hl=en&gbpv=1&printsec=frontcover You might struggle to believe some of the stuff he explains. -

I'm very well aware that there are some people who deliberately accuse such gurus unnecessarily just to get attention and gain fame or other motives by such accusations by stirring the pot. That doesn't mean all such accusations are baseless. Knowledge or even Enlightenment does not guarantee a moral life. Some of them may or may not have had those powers. Having powers or having ability to awaken others through transmission doesn't mean that the person is morally sound. That's why In yoga, The first steps are Yama and Niyama to establish morally sound ground before actual awakening work is started. Without proper moral ground, if you get too much power(of any sort) is dangerous to the society. In one of the earlier rape cases he said he is impotent. After testing him medically he was declared potent. In another later rape case he said it was not rape but consensual. Where is the logic in this? Nithyananda followers using worst of the worst language(Tamil) against somebody. No decent person will ever speak in such manner, let alone sanyasis of monistic order. The person they are targeting is definitely a crook. But, being in a monistic order, using such worst language against anybody is not good. If you notice in the video, not all of them are adults, there are some children too. Regarding OSHO, he also had some questionable practices for sure. Even Sadhguru sometimes feels like he is talking Non-sense. But, these gurus never had any complaints against them of sexual abuses and child torture like nithyananda has. Like I already said somewhere in this form. Being open minded is good. But, way too open that you start believing/accepting anything & everything is not good. -

Nithyananda is no OSHO. He's a crook. Rape cases and child abuse(Not in a sexual way but scolding and beating them, not feeding them sometimes to make them manifest third eye powers or whatever... ) cases on him. Because indian authorities are onto him, he left India bought an island and made it into a new country. I would never recommend anybody to associate with him in anyway. -

"Rally for Rivers" is a huge project to save ecology which is supported by the Indian government and state governments. His contribution to farming to reduce farmer suicides and improve their economy: Youth and Truth Program to raise awareness of youth: He once experimented with non human entities at manasarovar lake(In my opinion is somewhat morally questionable). There are many such places around the world. I once read from some other swami that Alps mountains is also a spiritually significant place. There are many people who got self-realization just by reading or hearing it. Below is the best example. https://www.quora.com/How-would-you-describe-your-first-real-spiritual-awakening-experience/answer/Dan-Kaplan-23 Some other similar answers for the same question: https://www.quora.com/How-would-you-describe-your-first-real-spiritual-awakening-experience Some are temporary realizations, some are permanent. I once read online where someone explained their awakening saying that they entered a room where awakening happened through reading a book (or something else I don't remember exactly)and never left the room(Because the sense of personal self dissolved permanently). Live awakening simply through pointers: The person in the above video is a disciple of Ramana Maharshi. His disciple is Mooji, who is continuing the same work. -

The Parakaya Pravesha is a technique with which one can make one's subtle body along with the mind and Prana enter into another person's body. May be if it's adjusted a bit, then instead of experiencing that body from first person perspective, one can experience just from that persons POV without controlling it. Regarding this here is a story from Yoga Vasishta: It is later revealed in the book that the king actually travels to the same location he experienced this another persons life and finds that the story actually happened and that some of his relatives are still alive. He gives them enough wealth and helps with the drought situation they were facing. Here is another similar story from the same book: -

Yes, My intention was to point out that even science is starting to acknowledge enlightenment now. Not discarding it completely as some kind of random hallucination. Science may not contextualize enlightenment the same way that spirituality does. But, atleast it's some positive step in the right direction. -

It is not like physical exercises. It is a whole system. If you are serious about it. It'll take significant amount of time and dedication from your part. (Theory)Kriya Yoga: https://www.academia.edu/13073390/Yoga_and_Kriya_Swami_Satyananda_Saraswati Download the PDF. If you cannot understand how to do a particular exercise given in the book. Search for the name of that particular exercise in youtube or google it. The above book lists various different techniques and practices. You may not be able to do all of them consistently. That's why it would be better to join a yoga center. They will teach certain No. of practices which you'll be able to practice daily that are designed for gradual awakening. -

By looking at the channel of the person in the video you posted. It seems she has no clue whatsoever about the potential and dangerous of kundalini yoga. She seems to be treating it like any other yoga. The exercises she teaching may awaken kundalini, but not guaranteed. Even other yoga systems in the end has to tap into kundalini to attain enlightenment. But, those systems will awaken it systematically and slowly. Also, not all the chakras may/need be open through other systems. But, Kundalini yoga is said to be like hitting the kundalini snake forcefully to make it rise through the spine. It would want to pierce through all the chakras one by one burning down any impediments on its path. The heat felt during such times feels like very physical in nature. Please watch the soulful toz video I linked on my previous post. The only guaranteed way to awaken kundalini safely is through shaktipat. Even then after awakening, assistance from a guru may be needed. If you have a SKY(Simplified Kundalini Yoga) Center near your place, you can learn it from there. Along with rising the kundalini directly to ajna. They will teach you shanthi meditation which makes the energy back down and go back to its calm state. It is the safer way to walk this path. Isha Yoga center will not initiate you in kundalini, unless you become a monk. -
PopoyeSailor replied to trueself's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
Dear @trueself , Yes, kundalini can awaken even with light practices with awareness starting to awaken. In some people it awakens without any provocation. But, the way you describe your situation. lot of mindfulness day to day is not a small practice. Every kind of a mystical experience involves kundalini. Without kundalini there are no mystical experiences. During such experiences, like Seraphim pointed out, only small portion of it finds the path to flow and if it flows, some portion of past karma & conditioning dissolves, some kind of experience is experienced. But, not all mystical experiences are symptom of full kundalini awakening happening in future. But, still to be on the safe side; don't do contemplation exercises during driving or any such times. If suddenly kundalini went Nuclear, it'll be problematic. Continue your contemplation or even can do meditation. But, don't force it. -

It happens to me too. Yes, more subtler the breath is more concentration I Achieve. It is quite normal. As long as you are not forcefully holding your breath. There's nothing you need to worry about. Please read the post attached. It is generally said that during full Samadhi, breath stops completely. -
PopoyeSailor replied to Ali T's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
The same thing happens even to me. For me it is somewhat like burping. It seems like some kind of purging. It started to fade away a bit for me. Other thing that happens to me is , during the deep meditation when so much relaxation or even when I concentrate more on a particular object or sound, my breath starts to fall down quickly. Out-Breath tries to dominate more than the In-Breath as if the whole breathing process is trying to shutdown completely. It is actually a bit of a struggle. I have gone through a few cycles of such struggles and during each cycle my chest tightens up and then relaxes and then I feel my chest area being cleared up and becoming free and relaxed permanently. I don't feel this relaxation all the time. But, during meditation the relaxation is felt and it is of same level during the previous attained state. The relaxation facilitates a kind of looseness with in the whole system, physical as well as subtle. . I think because of such looseness/porousness, more of the prana(subtle invisible air / life force) inside the body through the Out-Breath will try to go out and merge with the prana of the universe outside. In the book "The Autobiography of a Yogi" by paramahamsa Yogananda, he described his mystical experience that when his master touched him; he felt like all the air inside him is sucked out of his body, and with it his consciousness merged with cosmic consciousness, perceiving everything without the use of the bodily senses. -

Householders, job holders, people with so many social obligations shouldn't do it. It'll dismantle the Mental Structure(conditioning), Belief Structure & karmic structure very quickly. Mood swings are worst. deep blissful to deep depression cycles changing repeatedly. If you really really want to do it. Do it, But gain as much theoretical knowledge as possible beforehand. If things get sideways, contact SKY Yoga center or Isha yoga Center or any other centers which have expertise in Kundalini Yoga. But, remember, it'll definitely affect your everyday life. Generally, it is said that once it opens with full force, until it passes Brahmarandha, it'll not stop. But, for me it stopped after 15~ days. The extreme symptoms may stay for weeks, months, or even many years. For some they do not recede in this life time. When it is awakening, sometimes past life tendencies will play in your current body, which may either be human or otherwise. You might shout, behave or move like some animals, reptiles or birds as a result. Once ajna chakra opens, sometimes other realms with good or bad entities can be encountered. Those entities will recognize your presence. It can be a very scary experience. Kundalini Awakening through shaktipat: Someone who's dealing with awakened kundalini daily basis: -

Dear gswva, This is the Book Yoga Vasishta's Model of existence: The Universes/Minds/Jivas/Dreams However you call it are just living entities like you and me who each dream one such universe within itself; just as we dream dreams at night. As such, You & Me are dream characters in one such universal dream within one such Nth order universe(Meaning our universe is just one such dream being dreamed by one such jiva). Any universe is a dream within some jiva's mind. There are numerous number of dream characters within that universe. When those dream characters like you & me die in the dream. They may dream their own universe within their parent universe, or they may transfer & reincarnate in some other Nth order universe or same universe that is being dreamed by their parent Jiva. What happens after death is determined by one's own karma(Behavioral patterns & tendencies). Like mentioned above, Even the Jiva projecting the universes within themselves can after their death(dissolution of that universe) can be reborn as other living entities in other universes dreamed by other Jivas. or simply dissolve into Non-Duality or create another universal projection within themselves. Fractals explain reality in a very easy to understand manner: Fractal Exploration Software: https://fractalfoundation.org/resources/fractal-software/ Just like the above model, however way one believes existence to be, they experience it as such. Gaudiya Vaishnava Tradition's(ISKCON) Model of Existence: (High Resolution Versions of below Images): https://soolaba.wordpress.com/vedic-tour-of-our-universe/ Other Models in other cultures: Brahman doesn't have an objective shape or reality to it. However way it is imagined, IS the way it presents itself to the one imagining it. When all imaginations are removed from it, it is experienced as simple "void" or just "Awareness aware of being itself(Not in an Ego sense)". When awareness becomes conscious(Consciousness always means, Conscious of something), it becomes duality. When awareness is unconscious(Not aware/conscious of any particular thing or anything at all), it becomes Non-Dual. Don't think too much about these things, you can gain knowledge by studying these. Also, helps in keeping you interested in spirituality. At the same time they can frustrate you. There is no objective reality as such. So don't bother finding it out. But, having theoretical knowledge is always helpful and a must if you don't want to become scared and fearful of certain states if you suddenly enter into them through some practices. -

Yes, Enlightenment experiences when talked about and interpreted after coming back from the experience is just a talk of Duality. But when you are in it with complete dissolution of Ego: Brahman really is "Neither Real Nor Unreal". You seem to have gotten it intellectually. -

My Intellectual Understanding so Far: Imagine the TV signals which contains all the different programs running right now all around you. But, the TV only plays that show which it is tuned into. Similarly, each TV play its own show. Likewise, each smaller self only experience a particular show called its own personal individual life. When the boundaries of individuation is broken, all the shows of life in which ever possible permutation and combination that they can exist, is realized to be a possible potentiality. Doesn't mean that all of those infinite plays must be playing right now. They can play at different times in different places with different people. Omnipotence from what I understand is the direct realization of truth of the Brahman's(You without individuation) nature to project any combination of realities of any permutation and combination without any restriction. Omnipresence is the direct realization that what ever exists at all times in all places as all things is Brahman and Brahman alone and that you are one with that Brahman. Omniscience is the realization of understanding of both of the above two realizations along with the complete knowledge of how they work. And, yes siddhis, UFOs, Occult Sciences are all part of the deal too. But, one has to strive with effort to attain siddhis. All three of these truths (or any other truth for that matter) can be realized, understood and talked about, only in a state of individuation. Even the most highest conscious levels some experience & profound realizations they attain are talked about as such, only because of their thinking, perceiving, intellectualizing capabilities present with their personal individuation. Once complete merge with Brahman happens(having individuation completely dissolved), there is no thinking faculty present anymore. It simply is Brahman. It is pure Existence without any existence. Neither does it exist, not does it doesn't exist. It is what IS, Yet it ISN'T. Existence and Non-Existence are simply concepts / possibilities within it. Brahman is an Existential contradiction. But, once realized; there is no contradiction. There is nothing that can be said about it. If something has to be said, then one can say: Awareness aware of being itself - Not from the egoic sense though. Egoic sense will try to reduce the word "Awareness" in the sentence to mean some individual with sense of self who has thinking and intellectualizing capabilities. Brahman when imagined as such and such will be experienced as such. Brahman doesn't have any objective shape and form to it. Even formlessness is just one of the forms it can present itself in. It is capable of expressing itself in both states as Nirguna(Formless) and Saguna(Form). It can one up against itself. E.g: If you imagine the whole Brahman to be single reality and there being many such Brahmans in existence; Although indivisible - It'll still have no problems presenting itself as such to the one wanting to experience it as such. Infact, that is exactly what is happening even now with multiple appearances of universes/realities, living entities, objects and even atoms. Every appearance/non-appearance, presence/non-presence, being/Non-being is just Brahman presenting itself as such.
