Actually read the whole thing thoroughly!!!! Alright I sent Leo this message privately but he hasnt seen it so I'll post it here. I also think its good to see what you forum users think Hey Leo, This is not meant to be harsh and I trust that you can digest this message. I've observed your stuff for quite a while now and I'm starting to see that certainty is becoming a habit of yours, despite the fact that the more non-dual experience you have the more you tend to go back and dismiss somethings you've said in the past, but here the thing is that the things you dismiss then you still possessed utmost certainty while saying them, my objection is, how can you be certain of your work now if in the future you might dismiss the present you. Do you see what I'm saying? I think there are great limitations to your work, in the sense that there can only be communicated so much without turning into a dogma and belief system for many others. My objection is that the tonality and way of presenting this information you've cooked up is that it is conveyed as the end all be all and that to me is just another religion. To empathize from your perspective It can be hard to be continuously working on your product and selling it at the same time, so the intuitive reaction I had the other month when I saw you online was. Leo takes some time off, to integrate and better understand whats going on. Then boom you upload a video saying your taking time off for "healing" I say not just for healing purposes but also for a better understanding of God. There are a lot of people that mistake you for a prophet, and feel guilt to dismiss or tell you if they disagree with you because they would probably rationalize it as "He just knows more than I do". This is why you see people on the forum suck up to you constantly. Also, I must mention a post you made on your blog you did I while back where you had a conversation with God where the dialogue consisted of you asking God why it is he chose you to be his messenger. This isn't a good sign in my eyes, there has to be delusion here. Surely you can see why you talking to god and god telling you he has chosen you is just egomania even if it is coming from a selfless place, this is a common self-image of schizophrenics, my uncle was one he shared that belief with you. My advice is to be less sure, and more transparent. Lastly, how come users can't see when you visit someone's profile or when you edit your posts, why is that hidden? Does it not make you seem just that much more perfect and saintly? This is what I perceive Leo... I know this post seems critical because it is to some degree but it is not coming from a place of negativity. Wishing you the best of health during this difficult pandemic.

Lets dissect here. What is trust in someone? Trust in someone is a belief that person cares, accepts and loves you, and does not want to do wrong by you even if it means sacrificing selfish desires. Who are you trusting? You are trusting what you think is another person. You have a mental image of this person and you and choose to also apply the model of trust to them. (The model of trust is explained in the paragraph above) What happens when trust is broken? When you see a person for the first time you create a mental image of them in your head, this mental image is very difficult to shake off, its like an imprint. With trust that has been broken you create a mental image within your head that “this person doesnt have my trust “and that too is an imprint, It is difficult to shake this imprint off but not impossible. Just like if someone got plastic surgery on their face and you saw them again your imprint of them would change, it is like that with trust, a perceived change of character in the person (you lost trust in) must occur inorder for you to create an imprint of trust again. Much love stay healthy

@Son of leo Most girls develop to be very assertive towards guys because a lot of creepy guys want them and they learn to establish boundaries so they can save their own ass. Secondly, some girls just have poor character and low self-esteem and as they are desired by guys a lot (almost all girls are), they learn that they can manipulate and intimidate men so they choose to do it by pushing you around and making you feel undesired so that they feel better about themselves.
-
@Natasha So let me dissect this. When you say consciousness, I understand you mean, perceiving, so perception is not something that is local to the brain rather it is universal. But what about thoughts, what role do they play and where are they in consciousness? Are they a byproduct of the brain? because it seems that I can have 1 thought while you can have another so that to me means that thoughts are local and not universal.

@Serotoninluv That makes great sense.

Great story, very inspiring. Wishing you the best moving forward

@integral Interesting stuff, what comes immediately to mind is when Leo says, I have reached levels of knowing god no other human being in history has reached, definately could be called as self over tribe. I think the whole personality types thing is a useful way to categorize people and understand certain behaviours and why they are done but it does not explain everything and can certainly be very confusing as you're always trying to stick on the theme of MBTI on to people and events and sometimes things just can't be explained using those terms. It has its limitations in my opinion, I don't think you can fit anyone person into a single category all the time, its just nonsense.

Constant anxiety I don't know about the rest but as for this one, at least for me, it is mostly if not entirely psychological phenomena. Usually, anxiety is a mild degree of fear in other words resistance, you gotta take a closer look at what is you're resisting and figure out a way to overcome that. Nahm, mentions the use of a dream board, where when you resist a certain reality, "I don't want this to happen" is usually the feeling, you write down what you DO want to happen. This is great stuff. Try to take 2 cold showers a day, alternating between hot and cold, Hot for 20 seconds, then Cold for 2 minutes, repeat this 3 times every shower, and try to control your breathing while you do it (slower and deeper breaths with the occasional exhalation and then not breathing for 40-60 seconds). This works wonders for allowing you to process through and realize your anxiety.

@Hello from Russia You can be assertive in a considerate manner where the other side doesnt perceive you as a stage blue dogmatists.

A comment on the first paragraph, Leo posted on him blog a while back (I cannot find it anymore) of him having a conversation with god where Leo asks god “Why me, why have you chosen me to be a messenger?” and god replied something like “because you are special...”!?!! So I am not placing a story where there is none to be found. A comment on your second paragraph, Leo makes it easy to put him on a pedestal an example is given in the few lines above. No it would not spin new ego stories if he was more transparent and told people in a coherent way why not to put him on a pedestal.
-
I am not demonizing Leo, do not mistake me. I quite like the guy and his work, I am however speaking my mind about some things I noticed and don’t see others talking about.
-
@Hansu it is implied that he is that. And lets be real for a second here, I think most people that watch Leo’s videos are empathetic and agreeable by nature so will proudly put someone on a pedestal if they like them and resonate with them enough.
-
@Preety_India @RendHeaven @DivineSoda You yourself made a post telling Leo to take his own advice. You recognize Leos tonality just as well as I do. You focused on your own flaws and thats great man! But I dont see why you cant point out some one elses... That makes no sense to me. In your reply to me you imply to just focus on my self and dismiss pointing out some important crutial egotistical behavior that I see. I say naaah, Im bored af during this quarantine so I might as well say my thought? And finally, dont like it how you try to play the altruistic higher ground by dismissing what I posted in a non direct way when you yourself see the same thing. Haha Much love stay healthy.

@Roy I disagree with you when you said that I am reaching for something that does not exist. I think Jordans word views just solidify the idea that he is the perfect human, and that is obviously a bias. His opinions on virtually almost any topic outside of the ones relating to his clinical psychology practice are extremely self bias and ego reinforcing, if you cannot see that, well, then you cant see it. No, I don’t have perfect expectations of Jordan but I expect some one who claims to speak truth and exposes other peoples deluded ways of thinking to have their own self biases and self delusions in order which he clearly does not.

Has anyone ever noticed how Jordan Peterson's view of the world is very rigid and just so happens to make him come across as the most valuable person there is? He's like a sneaky little devil and he knows this himself!! hence his lack of relaxation in his speech and his continuous nervousness and need to confront and come off as strong/assertive. But again my point being is that his world view that he imposes onto people in a sense justifies and solidifies him as a very worthy and valuable human being. For example: Jordan Peterson and IQ: Towards the end you can aggressively see him try to shut down the opposing statement: IQ can be trained long term. How fortunate for Jordan, he claims and proudly says he has an IQ of 153 and is something you cannot develop so in his eyes he was made valuable at birth. There are other videos of Jordan discussing IQ and he claims it is the resolution in which you see life and your ability to learn and this enables you to climb up dominance hierarchies and linking this with his idea that your value as a human is your ability to climb the "dominance hierarchy" that would entail that people with higher IQ's are more valuable. Jordan, therefore, is very valuable. Watching and believing Jordan Petersons claims makes it very easy to make the assumption; your value as a human is measured by your IQ, and there is nothing you can do to change that... and with that Jordan is very valuable because of his 153 IQ damn... There are many world views that Jordan Peterson shovels down his innocent viewer's throats, like his views on gay marriage, that it is not optimal for a kid to grow up with gay guardians " reinforcing his Christian world view that gay marriage is not proper". His views on women being the nurturer and men being the provider are justified by the statistic that women are more empathetic on average men. Let's just think about that... "on average" women are more empathetic than men so "as a whole" women's role in society should be different. He does not say this explicitly but it is implied. There are useful things he says every now and then, that a person should take on responsibility, in other words, to have a life purpose, but the rest of it is just limiting beliefs and dogma. He clearly operates in STAGE BLUE and he is trying to solidify this world paradigm and lock everyone in it by victimizing his viewers and then using complex words and tricky conversational maneuvers to persuade them of his answers. Take a look at him. Does the guy look sane? does the guy look happy and peaceful? No. Then why do so many take his words as reality? He claims his depression and anxiety are genetic disorders, but if anyone held his paradigms they would too fall for depression and anxiety. If you make a statement false or true, you can alot of times find and pick evidence and justify your claim. Sometimes you gotta take shit way out of context but still be technically correct. This is what people like Jordan do and I find that dishonest and manipulative although I can understand why he does it. To strengthen the structures of his beliefs and paradigms... In other words Ego.
-
@DLH Haha, Imposed isn't the right word you're right, yes, Jordan isn't a dictator forcing his followers to believe his ideas but these ideas are indeed implanted implicitly and explicitly in the minds of his followers and those ideas do not lead to truth or joy in-fact they stutter the spiritual growth of his followers. Sure from the perspective of God, there is no right and wrong, but there is a good and a lesser good, the lesser good being anything that results in fear, suffering, resistance, ego. To suit your terminology it is a lesser good to delude your followers and trap them in ego structures that they suffer (What jordans does). You implied that people go through a natural growth process and that it is not Jordan that traps them but that they choose to resonate with Jordan... so in a sense, they trap themselves through Jordan. An example I'm gonna give you is, say your wife and I got to know each other and I had a sense of humor and some big-time charisma and she was into me so I lured her down to my laboratory and brainwashed her using a new brainwashing technology into believing that you are an evil demon and that nothing you say can be trusted. Would you blame your wife if she came back the next day demonizing you? No!!! I in this story represent Jordan Peterson, and your wife represents his followers. What I've done is a lesser good if it hadn't been for me your wife would have not been brainwashed and deluded. See what I'm saying with this example? Stay healthy bro

@IJB063 Not interested in doing that.
-
@IJB063 The title was clickbait. Yeah, good job clarifying the positive, I agree with that
-
@IJB063 No I think you just want to dismiss the guy entirely. Dude, the guy is a doctorial psychologist with years of clinical experience, he's pretty knowledgable and good at handling basic psychological issues like laziness, depression, relationships... You're not being realistic, you just want to paint him a fool.
-
@IJB063 Alright dude, your true colors be showing.
-
@IJB063 I disagree, he's pretty good at speech. He is a very skilled polemicist.
-
@The Don I don't think you actually look at and judge the content of what he preaches. You probably are just amazed by his ability to articulate words and vocabulary skills as well as witty conversational maneuvers. This is not a reason to follow someone's teachings but rather a reason to admire their speech. Please make that distinction within yourself stay healthy bro
-
@IJB063 What you said exactly This is my objection and my personal resent of JP, I personally have friends deluded by JP and the trajectory of there life took a swing after listening to him.
-
@IJB063 It is implied in literally almost all of his videos.
