  1. At 2.25 It get's really emotional. Who would not see the pain of these peoples and side with them?
  2. Still even if we are limbs or organs of one body. Each part of your body has to be treated differenty. Here I would use the word "appropriately" but not equal.
  3. This deflection is why this site is so clever. It gives us time and oppurtunity to forget our stories temporarily or have a calming background music that calms us like a drug. Or we can just go direct and take the psyechedelic I guess. I didn't try yet but I plan to do it. Then I will create god and kill him and recreate him. I will see the stories and delete them and write knew ones. Of course I do forget my stories and write them new. Don't you do it? I thought that is the base of this site? Maybe I am wrong and created just another story. In a certain context I am going to tell the story of jesus and sacrifize myself to humanity. Maybe as a story maybe in reality. What is the difference? Scientifically all the information into our senses is translated into electricity to get into our brain. So how real can reality be?
  4. Why should different people with different needs and cultures or stories treated equally? I would use another word. I would use "fair". I don't see a easy solution I see prepare for the worst as the best solution.
  5. Maybe not anywhere you want it to go. Maybe it is just a conversation (with yourself) that could be enough. Maybe you can hone your skills to change peoples mind against their will. They might be grateful after the process if you have the skills. Maybe people specially in this forum don't think reality is real. So they might be in the process to warm up for taking another position or identity.
  6. That what you write might or might not be true. Probably it is just another story. I am more closer to the buddhists who say that life is mostly pointless suffering. Stories about humanity and love are just stories. But stories are what we have. But stories seem to reach a limit confronted with physical reality. If the story works for you or for one group then it's a great thing already. Stories loose their power and energy sometimes then other stories replace them. The american indians were mentioned. When they were in their war path then war stories took over. Where I feel love is in the animalistic version when I see these crazy videos where dogs and lions become brothers. There are so many of them with different species. So I get that it is theoretically possible but if, when, how we get there is a different question. I think free will doesn't exist in the pure sense. So even if I get angry if feels sometimes I am angry like watching a movie. I don't have a real choice. In the language of the forum it would be probably that god decided to play a role and he can not get out of this role and is deterministically bound to the story.
  7. Maybe not let them in in the first place like Japan, Poland that has no problems with it. Then you have cases like India where you have to divide the country in one part Pakistan in order that they don't kill one another. Maybe that is a possible solution. Divide the USA in couple countries. One western culture. One with Latinamerican culture like in Brasil where everybody can come in and be a real melting pot.
  8. Yes a story that became a religion but not just a random religion. A religion like Islam where doubt is not allowed. I believe 70% of the people are oppurtunists anyway. From these you get the fiercest fake fanatics and activists who basically are actors in the sense of being fake. The reason is they can instrumentalize the current "religion" for their own ganes.
  9. Right. Say that to the protestors, looters. Don't you want to be happy? You have so much anger. Let it be accept it. Get non-dual bro.
  10. Thank you. This is enlightening. When the patient asks the doctor if he has cancer this is the perfect answer from the doctor I guess.
  11. This is a very low energy or a lazy question. What is wrong?
  12. Ok you convinced me with your sources and links. Now we don't have to believe in other sources like wikipedia. We believe they are peaceful.
  13. Who is antifa and are they violent: Let's ask wikipedia: "Antifa activists engage in protest tactics such as digital activism and militancy, involving property damage, physical violence and harassment against fascists, racists and those on the far-right.[25]" Seems like they are not so peaceful: Btw. respect for the american soldiers fighting fascism and "socialism" (USSR, they called themself antifascist) in the cold war.
  14. Sorry it was then another person in the forum.
  15. I agree that fascists are many levels worse but when I look at the streets with all the violence antifa does not not look good at all. Antifa is said to come from Europe. They are quite violent here in Europe too.
  16. Right. Facts, or better said, unwoke facts are racist or hate speech. Today I found these hate symbols: https://www.adl.org/education/references/hate-symbols/1352-1390 The truth has a hard time surviving. That is why I am a fan of steelmanning for now.
  17. You are again wrong. You have assumptions of me that has not much to do with reality. I don't watch TV at all. At yt I watch maybe 1% Fox news. That is Tucker Carlson who is quite left in some issues. I do watch much more the trainwreck called CNN as a horror show. Actually I watched the last year probably 90% center left to far left. Lately I watch Vaush a lot because he is entertaining. It might be because I like science fiction and opposing views. It might be that you are biased when it comes to academia. I remember you said you are a socialist.
  18. So even if they vote in a guy who probably would become a dictator like more or less in the case of Hitler? Would you still be in favor of it?
  19. Well the extreme left is more "progressive" than the center left. At least that is what they say and how they bully the center left. Progressive is a spectrum. There is not a trademark for it. Stop acting like it is glass clear. The extreme left is quite powerful not only in academia also on the the street as we see it now with Antifa. I have never said that Kulinsky and Dore are extreme left. On the other thread I said he is center left. In my post above I started with center left, at the end is vaush who is extreme left. Don't act like I told something that i didn't. Read properly. Btw I have an european perspective on these things.
  20. Democracy needs people who are ready for it. The swiss, even their women could not vote till recently, came closest to it. Other countries have a mash up system of Democracy, Oligarchy and Monarchy.
  21. There are talks about defunding the police. It seems we need the police but maybe some people want to put it into test. Steven Pinker, the psychologist who was born and grew up in Montreal recalled how the wildcat police strike and the lawlessness that followed changed his views: "As a young teenager in proudly peaceable Canada during the romantic 1960s, I was a true believer in Bakunin's anarchism. I laughed off my parents' argument that if the government ever laid down its arms all hell would break loose. Our competing predictions were put to the test at 8:00 a.m. on October 7, 1969, when the Montreal police went on strike. By 11:20 am, the first bank was robbed. By noon, most of the downtown stores were closed because of looting. Within a few more hours, taxi drivers burned down the garage of a limousine service that competed with them for airport customers, a rooftop sniper killed a provincial police officer, rioters broke into several hotels and restaurants, and a doctor slew a burglar in his suburban home. By the end of the day, six banks had been robbed, a hundred shops had been looted, twelve fires had been set, forty carloads of storefront glass had been broken, and three million dollars in property damage had been inflicted, before city authorities had to call in the army and, of course, the Mounties to restore order. This decisive empirical test left my politics in tatters (and offered a foretaste of life as a scientist)."[16] https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Murray-Hill_riot
  22. No I have spent hundreds of ours with analysis from center left to hard left. Kulinsky, Packman, Seder, Dore, Vaush... With my example I didn't mean Sanders or AOC. I mean the more extremist progressives specially from academia.
  23. Well I gave you a context. How many fundamentalists should one or your country take in?
  24. I know them pretty good. In the left their is a race about who is the most progressive. In general the extremists are very powerful like in other ideologies like islam. A black man can not be racist to a white men is already a very popularized opinion.
