USA got sucked into the role in world war 2. Then later with Sowjetunion that was a totalitarian state that captured many countries. Then later with the Korean war where they saved South Korea. Later things went downhill from there it seems. The South Koreans are still to this day very thankful to the countries that helped them. I read about Ethiopia and Turkey who faught there. -

Well our job is to find out which experts are not biased. One way to do it is listen to the people (opposing experts) who have the opposite opinion. If they can be convincing (with statistics maybe) then go with it. If not the experts were right. -

I know. One guy already told some good reasons. I would put it this way. If the US would not have freed itself from Britain it might have been like other countries. They would just be a part of something else. On it's own because of it's size it became an empire on it's own. An empire needs a state ideology to legitimize itself and to keep diverse people together. Then it got pushed into the role of world police. Once you have that job a thing like "professional deformation" happens. You get an authoritarian personality. -

What I wanted to say is that the general public is not always right. They can be biased and brainwashed too. -

The general public in North Korea thinks probably their leader is great. Do you even want to know the "facts" even if they are "ugly". -

I am not shure what is the measurement of development. One way to see the west is a good functioning work camp. From the outside it looks not too bad but maybe it is not so good as it seems. https://selfishactivist.com/why-white-people-cant-dance-theyre-traumatized/ -

Why would leftist social scientists be biased against their own interests? -

Well to be honest I can not even proof to you that the earth is a globe. In this site even science is not taken always as proof because science works very good but it is not an absolute proof. In the end you make your research and come up with a decision. When I for example do math 100% of the time if I have a different answer to a math problem it's an error from my side not from the experts. If you think you are so much better than the experts I am ok with but if you want to convince others you might use statistics. I don't try to convince you btw. Edtit: One thing more I mentioned the youtube guys because we can understand them and trust them somewhat. They got their information from real experts with degrees. The info is out in the open and it is not really contested by people with university professor degrees. You can google the research papers. -

Ok do you believe that most of the the leftist pundits are wrong? Even if that is their full time job? Even if they accept these numbers that are against their interests? Do you think you are more clever than them? People like Kyle Kulinsky, David Packman, Vaush. -

Not only me. You can not convince people without taking statistics seriously. -

I looked quite deep and most of the leftist pundits agree. -
Because they are like everyone else. Different ideologies are fighting for power

Not really -
@Robi Steel Your perspective is valid but I don't think a forum what you would like exists yet. It seems at least quite impossible. Maybe you could create a forum where it works. I guess many people tried it and it didn't work out. The hill comes to my mind but it seems they have their tabu topics where they tone it down. The result is the people are not really informed they get just a centrist view of things. The truth is not always in the middle. In politics believes are essential but they are quite fragile. They are like little plants that need a safe space to develop. That is why this forum can not open too much to the other side. You have this situation in almost in every field of life. If you have a vision in anything you have to defend them from attack. Progressivism defended harder because it's believes are far from the "natural" beginnings. So it's quite easy to destroy it. So it needs more shelter to survive. If it's worth it is a matter of believe. Gutes gelingen. Wer suchet der findet.
