I feel like selfhelp is like exorcism for the monkey mind. It takes time to take care of so many crazy blind spots. It is like laying the infrastructure to be able to build on it. Some people don't seem to need it though but I am not shure about it.

@Yahya Every religion is an ideology. Islam is quite a power conscious religion. A lot of killing is done in its name so it makes sense that Mohammed didn't want to be just another jew. He saw himself as the prophet so the jews had to follow him. Obviously the jews did't want that. At the beginning the prophet ordered that the direction for the prayer should be Jerusalem. After the problems with the jews he changed direction to Mekka to show that the jewish tradition is not that important anymore. After that he fought the jews and from that time there are no jews living in Saudi Arabia.

On a psychological level arabs probably had a minority complex. Their neighbors the jews and christians had a powerful story and identity based on books and history. So it was time that the arabs did take care of this void. I guess the christian religion was not that interesting as it was vague and kind of weak basically a slave religion. The arabs on the other hand wanted to keep their slaves btw. that is why it is not forbidden in the kuran to have slaves. So I guess Muhammed and the arabs did not just want to become jews as that would create lots of problems. So the easier way Muhammed might have thought is to create the second upgrade of the jewish religion after christianity. Muhammed thought the jews will join the new movement but the jews were not interested. Islam is so powerful because it is an upgrade. It fixes the problems with the other religions. On the other hand it can not compete with science for obvious reasons.

@AlphaAbundance So basically it might help to be able to stimulate the brain in that way that it opens up other areas of the body. Some do it with drugs I did it with music and sport combination. I had to pay a price for it my brainpower went down for deep thinking but my general energy level was amazingly high. It came close to the term ignorance is bliss. When you get difficult problems and you need your brain it may then be shocking to do deep thinking. Might feel depressing but it is worth a try if nothing else works. Sounds like tons of fun. What would be the benefits/purpose of this? (Fun? Energy levels?) It seems like a valuable endeavor however how does it connect to the problem of suffering from effort, having to work to live? Oh I see, are you saying like this might help to deal with the emotions or like "get my mind off" or give me some breathing room when considering this problem? Yes basically it's the feeling when you do sport with music. You have lots of energy for menial tasks. I could find a job where I did not have to think much. Then you can keep a high energy level. Once you have to start to think deep you get problems because you can't concentrate much but as long as the job is not intellectually demanding it can be nice. Physical work has some therapeutic effect. Modern life expects sometimes too much intellectual work from us. That might give you some time to recover and then you can try normal life again.

I have some Turkish background so I observe it a bit. Things are quite complicated in this case. Imagine Turkey who wants back Jerusalem and is the enemy of Israel is on the same side that is pro Aserbeidchan. As you said Russia is also favoring Aserbeidchan. It seems because Aserb. buys a lot of weapons from them all. For Russia it seemed a problem that Armenia went closer to the West. Georgia had a phase like that which resulted in a war with Russia. Russia wants some chaos in that region so the west loses more influence in that region. Turkey is traditonally an enemy of Armenia. Turkey fights Armenia in order not to have to pay reperations in the future because of the genocide. Erdogan wants to win the election so he tries to get it with some wars is another argument. In this case the Aseris seem to have the law on their side. Normally the Greeks would help the Armenians but they are weak lately because of the economy. So basically you have everything in this drama.

Just don't be racist. Joke aside I would think about getting in touch with places that are promising like chess clubs, movie clubs, theater clubs, book clubs.

That would be an idea to become a spiritual motivator. With a spiritual bootcamp. Where you get shouted at. Leo is not to bad at it. At least he is insulting consistently not like Tolle where you get bored out of your mind and try to harm yourself though maybe that is the pass to suffering and being aware of the painbody. In Zen meditation you get at least a light beat with a stick so you don't fall asleep.

I guess there are ways to deal with it. One can for example watch some Seinfeld for every 5 minutes being in the forum. Till one gets to the next level that is 10 minutes or so. Btw. Seinfeld could be the series for non-duality.

@No Self I was playing table tennis and badminton at a club. I thought to play for fun like I played with my brothers though we were a bit competitive. At the club there was quite a hierarchy. It was quite strange for me. Since then I try to create a playful environments while doing sports. What I found is it's ok to be competitive to get to a certain level and then operate on a lower level mainly for fun. Little bit like in capitalism. You put alot of effort to earn money at the beginning later you can take it easier. In the spiritual world theoretically if you have the playful mindset other competitive members should not bother you. In realitiy I am not so shure about it.
