  1. Nice and nice poem. where you doing meditation or what when "it" happened?
  2. getting good at a sport, you can take that same mindset to any other area in you´re life. it takes a lot of practice, persistence and patience to get good at something. Good at sport = result maker of course there are a lot of sport guys that are not good at anything else, but if they are able to find an other area which they are interested they can bring the sport mindset there. If you master one thing, you can master anything, because the mastery template is the same no matter what you´re doing.
  3. My point was that there are too little research / studies done, so we basically can´t say does nlp work or does it not. I guess we will know in 100 years like you said. And i havent been in wikipedia, no idea what it says about nlp Best way to find out is to test for yourself, what works for one might not work for other
  4. I try to come from a neutral place. Im currently studying nlp. It definetely can work. There has been however very little researches and studies done on nlp and how effective it actually is. the researched i bump´d into has shown very little postive results. the rest of the results very neutral or not commented more. a respected psychiatric in my country looked into the researches about nlp and he´s conclusions was that nlp can work because there is people who want to do good and help and by that they can help make some positive results. I guess the most famous nlp method user is tony robbins. nlp is market as a sexy thing to do with a promise of great results, yet there is very little study result thusfar to back it up. I know one nlp teacher who was hardocore nlp guy who stopped teaches it after he got critized with it´s effectiveness etc. I am going to study this field more and let´s see what i think after that. all the nlp and psychology etc. goes out of the window when you do mushrooms etc. That´s why i like mushrooms. Thought id commented this after watching leo´s video today.
  5. wow, i didnt knew Leo has touched mushrooms. Epic, epic behavior.
  6. my bad
  7. People you follow / admire / respect?
  8. Why the hell you only work 20 hours a week? 20 h x 100 dollars = 2000 dollars / month. That sounds poor to me.
  9. You cant stop those thoughts and stop labeling those thoughts as bad. They are normal. I would suggest you to start nofap, that is a good way to learn to control sexual energy plus there´s a lot of other benefits from it
  10. He needs to move into a cave, the ice-cream druck driver is a big distraction
  11. Fuck, that´s scary. I run a lot in the woods and bump into deers, it always gives a nice adrenaline rush. Still waiting to see a fucking bear. I am actually going to running competition in a place which is known for having bears in there.
  12. I like his book awaken the giant within, but things that Tony Robbins teaches are pretty basic at the end of the day.
  13. everything seems bullshit at the moment, lol i´ll say fuck to this forum and internet for a month at least i will also quit coffee drinking fuck the self help bullshit. I am still going to meditate though. Dont get youre penises and vaginas hurt guys. I´ll udpate month from now.
  14. I dont smoke much anymore, but sometimes few hits before going to bed can be good
  15. Did 45 min meditation in the morning and visited gym today. i will test tomorrow how many pull-ups i can do, i am always in shape for 20 but i hope 25 is closer.
  16. thank you for sharing. I have had two very similar experience, actually you put my experiences to words nicely.
  17. Im close to vegetarian and my diet looks somewhat like this breakfast: fruits or fruit smootie + nuts or optional: oatmeal (organic) + nuts. Lots of water + 1 cup coffee. sometimes i put rice protein (chocolate, vegan) to my breakfast. it´s very good lunch: this i usually eat at work at a restaurant. Lots of veggies and carb (rice or potato or whatever there is), if there is vegan protein available i go that. next option is fish, then maybe chicken dinner: lots of veggies, some fruit, carbs (potato, sweet potato, rice, organic pasta) lentils/beans/tofu someone of these maybe two snacks 2 a day. usually fruit, some vegan type yoghurt, nuts, vegan energy bar as far as supplements go i only take, multivitamin + d-vitamin + magnesium. I haven´t taken fish oil, because i eat fish. checkout the ingredients if you take fish oil. there might be mercury and you might not want to take that everyday. Supplements are overrated. You probably want to take b-12, because full vegan diet does not include b-12 as far as ive heard If youre going full vegan, i would recommend to do/learn to do soups. They are pretty easy to make and there are lot of options.
  18. I will throw few goals here for the rest of the summer and autumn. I have been in a kind of hippie mode and unmotivated lately. Looking a way to balance being a hippie and being an animal, LOL These goals are very sports and meditation oriented, but i want to put them here and so i can track the progress. I enrolled to few running events which are late summer/early autumn. It was 10, 14 and 20 kilometer runs. The 10km run will be about a month from now i think, i try to go under 44 min. 14km under 1h 5min and 20km under 1h 38 min. The other goals: Join Buddhist meditation group, visit at least once a week Do another meditation retreat in autumn Do meditation minimium 1h / day Do 28 pull-ups at the end of the year 4-5x yoga / week (preferred in the morning, 30min – 1 hour) Go back to martial arts, thaiboxing or jiujitsu 2-3x week Complete 2 Nlp courses Participate in mindfulness course in the autumn Start to wake up 6:30 and go to sleep between 21:30-23:00 Is there anyone who has done LSD? I got a tab and was planning to do it on my vacation, but started to hesitate.
  19. I just watched Leo´s video 10 important things you want. That list makes complete sense to me and i have been trying to make changes to values that are on this list for couple of years. The only reason slowing the process down is a) fear b) glingin My ego still kicks in because it tries to cling on things that are familiar and making radical life chances takes a lot of courage. The meditation retreat i recently did was a good eyeopener. I think it is very important to put yourself in environments where you can be nobody and nobody is expecting you anything or telling how you should be. I think one of the best thing people in their 20s or later can do is solo travel.
  20. i recently came back from 6 day course. It really was an amazing experience.
  21. I have probably played couple of million hands online. I dont see the poker skills being much useful in real life. You might want to reconsider what you want to master. If it is poker, then go for it. But i would suggest to reconsider it.
  22. If i were you, and starting now i wouldnt be expectaing to make a big bank or even profit very easily.
  23. I watched Jack Kornfield lecture and he had a pretty good joke about a CEO of fortunate 500 companies who came to one of his retreat. They had a personal meeting in the retreat and Jack asked the guy "how are you doing?" the guy said: "I should have dressed better" Jack: "Why do you say that" the guy: "you should dress well when you meet yourself for the first time"
  24. Is there any ufc fans on the forum? Ufc 200 is today and it´s probably the best card in the history of the company. Jon Jones ruined it a little bit, by getting caught using ped´s. Other ped user Silva stepped in to take his place. From what i heard Silva hasnt trained for 2 months properly and he looked fat on the scale. Cormier will finish this fight easily. I also expect Mark Hunt to drop Brock Lesnar easily. Brock just came to take a payday. It is 1 fight deal with him. Jose Aldo vs Frankie Edgar will be intresting one. Aldo has fought only one fight in two years and it lasted 13 seconds. Frankie has been looking good, i´ll go with Frankie on this one. Diego Sanchez vs Joe Lauzon will be a crazy fight in prelims. Both are tough as nails, it will probably go to decision by Lauzon. Travis Browne has a very good betting odds against Cain Velasquez, he has to win 28% of the time to make it a profitable bet, so definitely bet on this one if you find a good odds.
