I really dont think he needs to get rid of his fucked upness first. dont most of us have negative thought, insecurities if we try something new or little scary. those negative thoughts doesnt have to stop us.

i said to the kid that train some month more and go to some park which is not so growded and play easy. Start from there. He doesnt need to chance his psychology to do that. He is already capable of doing it.

If youre a going to get good at something, it usually take years. Unless you do it like 12 hours a day. If playing guitar was easy, that would be boring. We appreciate the art because it is not easy. But dude, you arent supposed to be the next david gilmour yet (pink floyd is my favorite band by the way). Appreciate the journey and learning and dont quit. Skill development goes in cycles, you train 1 month you get little better, you train 3 more months, you improve only little, you train 2 more months, and youre skills advantage a lot. this is just an example. Be patience

Usually people will regret something they should have done. Yeah i definetly have some regrets. That why i was trying to help this kid. From what i read his posts, he probably will use the meditation as another excuse. He has a vision, i dont know any reason why he shouldnt go for it.

Kid want´s to go play a guitar on the street. Someone offers him the book of not knowing. This could be a meme. The book would confuse him even more. Im actually currently just reading it, 500 pages in.

So now you start reading mastery book and think about life purpose and all that other shit. Can you see how you make just more excuses? Forget the mastery book, forget the life purpose and all the other. You will probably be on here 6 months from now pondering should you hit the streets with guitar, if you start reading mastery and do all the other shit. Do you think i am right or the people who offer you mastery book, zen, and life purpose? you will know if it is youre life purpose when you have played sometimes on the street. it doesnt come by reading mastery, meditation, zen etc.

Im not harsh, because i would hate you or something. I want to help you. these other guys will come here to tell you about enlightenment / zen and all that. Sometimes you need to heat the truth. Listen what Wormon said. Do the spiritual stuff later. You can obviously meditate if you like, i didnt say you couldnt. from decade on now you will regret if you dont hit the streets with guitar, i guarantee you that

You are not helpless, probably learned helplesness. I just posted a topic that i am going to start to do book reviews on camera. I have 0 experience doing book reviews, i have 0 exprience with cameras and 0 experiences with speaking on camera. I will quarantee to you that as soon as the fucking camera arrives at my house, in one week from there the first book review is recorded. If i dont like my recordings i wont put it online, but i am fucking doing and experimenting. You know excatly what you want to do, and i already gave you all the advice you need. If you continue to post youre stupid post´s you can go fuck yourself. There is a lot of people (like u) on this forum who doesnt need spirituality, they need action. that spirituality is just another excuse for you to do nothing. Sorry my harsh language, but that is what you fucking need.

Guys stop speaking about life purpose for this kid, he doesnt need to know it now, youre a just giving him a option to not go to play guitar on the street. I can obviously sense that he would want to try playing guitar on the street. If it is his life purpose im sure he will find out after playing 100-1000 hours on streets

Cmon man, i dont fucking believe you. If i put a shotgun to youre head im 100% you can do it. You are just making excuses to youre self. I have even a better idea. Go to sit in a park bench and start to play for yourself. You dont even need to play loud to people to hear it, i quarantee people will not give a fuck. Start from there if youre scared. When youre skills develop start playing louder and in a more populated environment.

How many times you have been in the streets playing? I would guess zero. taking youre guitar and going to street is as easy as putting youre shoes on and going in to a jog. grab the fucking guitar go to the streets and see how it feels. Youre just afraid which is ok, but just fucking do it.

From what i watched and read, you study and teach psychology, offer coaching and plan to release products (personal development i assume)? I know i fall out of you´re target group, but may i ask you what is youre target group? -

Thanks for sharing. Thinking that we would have some control how the trip will go would be nuts. But obviously set/setting, mental state, dosage has to be on point. I have had only good trips, but there have been few moments on those where i can see things go could get very uncomfortable. I think Terrence Mckenna stayed away from mushrooms for the last decade when he was alive. Im not 100% sure, but there was this rumour going on. He had some very bad trip where he was going nuts. I think he did dmt etc. after that, but stayed away from shrooms. Maybe someone knows better?- 12 replies

I havent heard that quote, intresting. Ram Dass spoke about how he gave his guru 1200 milligrams of lsd (which is a huge dose) one time and nothing happened. Maharaji said on lsd things like: you can visit god temporarily, but then you come back. why not become god instead? And he said some weird shit like lsd can be useful if youre somewhere cold and turned toward to god. I have no idea why the cold, but i guess there was some point behind it. -

sounds somewhat familiar. the thing with these experiences is that the ego will hold on to it dear life not to experience surrendering / unknown. these expereinces are scary as fuck for the ego. -
getting married at 19 sounds horrible. i think there should be a law that doesnt allow under 30 year old people to marry. Most men doesnt have a clue who they are in theyre 20s and mid 20s Wasn´t it Jung who said that life begins at 40, everything before that is just seeking

If there are things that make you happy, sure do them. but what do we really need to be happy? I remember about a year ago, when i was tripping on muhsrooms there became this insight that if you have a roof on top of youre head, water, food and at least decent health that should be enough for human to be happy. all the programming says we need this and that to be happy, but it´s false. A child doesnt need much to be happy, unless they have poop in theyre pants they are usually happy.

Ive read the manifesto few years back and it is very interesting. The guy has some very good points.

I feel ya. My motivation and drive for some things have diminished a little bit in the last year or so. Feeling also pointless sometimes. Hard time to play the "game", because it´s bullshit. My social circle has become tinier, because my interests are way different nowadays than most of my friends. I would guess it is the ego just resisting and holding on to old patterns and beliefs.
