  1. I started my (current) college degree at age 26, together with a friend of the same age, and honestly it was the time of my life! Both teachers and (much) younger classmates showed us a lot of respect :-)
  2. I never took drugs in my life, mainly through my upbringing, saying: "drugs is baaad". I'm getting more open for it, though, but I'm afraid to do it on my own. Being very sensitive to even a painkiller, I wish there could be a trip-sitter with me, in case I get freaked out.
  3. @Sagar Takker, thanks for the vid's! Very useful!
  4. @ROOBIO, I sometimes suffer from the same fears too, when planning my LP... mostly I don't care too much about the outcome and try to enjoy the journey, but I can do that because I still have my full time day-job. So, working as a wage slave for a while and at the same time planning your LP could be a solution to cope with some fears, especially the money-related ones. Fears about not being successful enough, I don't think you need to be scared of: if you do what you love most, then success will eventually come (but as the LPC also states: it takes very hard work, commitment and patience from your side). I have been fully independent once, before I got my current job, and noticed that if you just concentrate on your craft, make sure you get known a bit, through whatever means (a website, YT channel, word-of-mouth marketing*, ...), the assignments will start to flow. Slowly at first, but at some point you need to work 13 to 16 hours a day! So, relax, really! * is "word-of-mouth marketing" correct English? We use it like this in Dutch, but translated expressions can be tricky sometimes...
  5. I bought the course beginning of December, so I'm still fully busy going through, but already I can see and feel some differences: vague concepts are starting to become more clear and I can feel my confidence growing, each time I complete a video It took me some time to eventually give in to myself and buy the course, but after watching Leo's work for a while now, I just know the LPC is of great value and I'm very excited to start doing the exercises!
  6. It all depends on how you want to study and which approach - autodidactism or help from a teacher - resonates best with you. Personally I never liked sitting in a class room and have a teacher who assigns me tasks, even in high school, college, evening school, ... I started studying Computer Science Engineering recently (self-study at an online university) and I notice that it works way better if I can make the self-tests and assignments on my own, with online help if needed, but without going to class or being told what to do. But that's me... Also, the key to studying in general is repetition! Allow yourself the time you think you need and multiply this with 2 or even 3. This way you have plenty of time to repeat everything, or spend some more time on a subject you didn't fully grasped the first time, and all of this without (too much) pressure. Of course, sometimes you can get stuck on something and then it's a good idea to consult a teacher.
