  1. According to Google's dictionary result: des·ti·ny the events that will necessarily happen to a particular person or thing in the future. fate the development of events beyond a person's control, regarded as determined by a supernatural power. Ideas on fate and destiny: Destiny doesn't emphasize the human being's lack of control as much as fate does Destiny doesn't emphasize the supernatural power as much as fate does Fate is more about the development of the events Destiny is more about the events themselves Destiny seems to be on a more grand scale Destiny seems to be positive, fate seems to be negative
  2. Maybe when I officially start the writing process I will be more grounded. Maybe it will also increase my happiness levels. Maybe it will automatically make me more focused. Maybe it will automatically make me stronger since I'm working with my passion directly. Maybe. I hope. ?
  3. @F A B Of course. That's called lucid dreaming. Lucid dreaming is a skill that can be developed through practice. Here's a popular book on lucid dreaming: https://www.amazon.com/Exploring-World-Dreaming-Stephen-LaBerge/dp/034537410X IIRC the person who wrote that book is one of the leading researchers on lucid dreaming.
  4. Am I strong enough? Will I ever be strong enough? How strong do I have to be? Will I ever become that strong?
  5. I'm on a hero's journey, but I'm low on resources. I failed to follow the system that I previously set up for my resources a little while ago, and I've been using resources ever since. If I run out of resources, I am fucked. It would be a real pain in the ass. I don't know what I would do. I need to have a new system by next week. By November 20th? Hopefully. It's not really just one system, however. It is 2-4 systems that I will be using for this current journey I'm on. I guess I'll call it "The System." The System is comprised of 2-4 systems. The System should be planned out by November 20, 2018 or so, and should be completely written down on paper by November 24, 2018 or so. The System should be completely put into place by December 1, 2018.
  6. The woman who changes the world is the woman who changes herself.
  7. FAILURE FAILURE FAILURE
  8. I lack heart. From a certain perspective, if you lack heart, Thanos would seem to be doing the better thing. He had a strong moral argument that couldn't be touched. However, if you have a lot of heart, something will just seem off to you. You will just know in your heart that Thanos was wrong. Maybe that's it.
  9. Thanos from Avengers: Infinity War was the villain yet I thought he was right. What the fuck does this say about me??? Does it mean I'm more of a villain??? I need to make sure that I take the most heroic actions in my life. I'm not gonna cling to changing the world if it's not the most heroic action. If it's a villainous action, I will refuse to do it. I will commit to taking heroic actions in my life. I need to follow my heart. I don't think the heart can ever be wrong. Follow your heart! ?
  10. "The man who changes himself is the man who changes the world," someone once said. Yes, that's a very noble aspiration. However, there's an aspiration which I believe is even more noble than that: The man who changes the world is the man who changes himself. Serve. Test your capacity. Test your limit. Challenge yourself. Live on your edge. Reach out (as far as you can!) Reach your full potential! Become a hero. A true hero!!!
  11. A villain is more likely to laugh at the misfortune of another, a hero is more likely to cry at the misfortune of another.
  12. How do we ensure that everyone gets their physiological needs met? How do we ensure that everyone gets their safety needs met? How do we ensure that everyone gets their belongingness needs met? This is where it starts to get tricky. How do we ensure that everyone gets their esteem needs met? How do we ensure that everyone gets their self-actualization needs met?
  13. Below is Abraham Maslow's hierarchy of needs. We have physiological needs, safety needs, belongingness needs, esteem needs, and self-actualization needs. Any human being who has all of these needs met will undoubtedly be happy in life. So if we created a planet where every human being was bound to get all of these needs met in their life, every human being would be happy.
  14. I believe that every single living being is entitled to everything they need for everlasting bliss. When it comes to human beings, there exist models and theories which outline the needs that all human beings must get met in order to live the longest and happiest life possible. One of these models/theories is Maslow's hierarchy of needs pyramid.
  15. FEMALE WARRIORS Veline Bladestar, a female blood elf warrior. Chloe Mithrilbolt, a female gnome warrior. Fallingstar, a female night elf warrior. All three characters from World of Warcraft. I have much more respect for female warriors. I appreciate them more. A female warrior is also much more meaningful. When I see a male warrior, it usually doesn't mean much to me. When I see a female warrior, it usually means a lot. Am I wrong for this? I don't think so. This post is in honor of the female warriors because they inspire me so damn much! Thank you, female warriors!
  16. This is someone's vision of a utopia. Pretty cool. My vision for planet Earth is a utopia. We're gonna do it!
  17. What is fate? What is destiny? Is there a difference between the two?
  18. I have to say it's okay to make mistakes. I don't see the reason for beating yourself up just because you didn't do everything exactly how you planned. To learn from your mistakes is key, and keep moving forward.
  19. I wish we had world peace. I WISH WE HAD WORLD PEACE. If I ever see a shooting star, I will wish for world peace. The greatest happiness for all!
  20. I don't think I was being too rational. Maybe I was just being too unimaginative or ignorant. I sometimes hear of people who claim to be able to use some sort of "magic," some crazy stuff, but no one has proven it to me yet or has filmed it and showed it to me or anything. But I acknowledge that I could just be ignorant on this and there are humans right now casting spells and using magic wands or whatever behind the scenes. Although I doubt it, lol. I didn't bring up most of this stuff. Stop misinterpreting my views, please. I don't even feel like going into all of that. Maybe another day.
  21. @Serotoninluv Why do you insist on bringing this up again? We spent almost a whole day talking about it last time and I already explained everything to you. I'm done having this debate. It's boring!!! Seriously... The fact of the matter is that you don't see human beings on planet Earth right now using fantastical magic or casting spells or anything like that. I'm not saying it's not possible (since anything is possible), but it hasn't been proven to exist on planet Earth, therefore it is currently classified as fantasy. To be grounded in life you need to know what is fantasy and what isn't, otherwise you will likely end up in a mental hospital!
  22. Probably the clearest mark of a villain: abuse of power. If you see someone abuse their power, there is a 99% chance that they are a villain. Watch out.
  23. Maybe it's always valid, but it's not always correct. There is a difference.
  24. @Shakazulu Find the correct world view. If you have the correct view with the correct beliefs, you will have nothing to worry about that much. There is an objective world. There is a shared space which we call "the universe." Nahm is wrong on this one. Sorry, Nahm. Fantasy is when you stray from the world's current level of evolution. For example, magic. Human beings objectively can't use magic yet, therefore it is fantasy. Straying from the world's current level of evolution is literally part of the definition of fantasy! Find the correct world view and believe in it. That's how you stay grounded.
