@FrgttnDeer Read this entire thread from beginning to end, then maybe you'll get what I'm saying. Happiness is not merely a part of life, it is literally the entire fucking point. Everyone is owed happiness the moment they are born. That's why I will not stand for an unhappy life. I'm aware of my birthright, and I made this thread so you can be aware of your birthright too. I fully acknowledge unhappiness, but I will not stand for it in the grand scheme of things. Unhappiness is not why we're here!

People often ask themselves "what's the point of life?" without getting a satisfying answer. Or they might ask themselves "what the hell is the point of life?" but still they don't get a satisfying answer. Or they might ask themselves "what the fuck is the point in this life???" and again they don't get a satisfying answer. Or they might ask someone else, maybe a philosopher, maybe a scientist, maybe a religious leader or spiritual teacher: "Can you tell me the point of life?" and yet again they do not get a satisfying answer. So now they might not just ask, they might start to take the time to contemplate those questions in order to find the answers. They start to take the time now, whether it's days, weeks, months, or years. However, even after all of that time, the answer often still eludes them. In result, they draw conclusions such as "life has no point!" or "life is meaningless!" "Life doesn't have a point because life is meaningless," they say (while suffering.) But in truth, they have that backwards. IN TRUTH, LIFE HAS A POINT BECAUSE LIFE IS MEANINGFUL. What is the point, you ask? This is it: happiness. That is the point of life. Happiness. Happiness is the point of life. Every single action anyone has ever taken, ever in life, is to be happy or become happier, or create more happiness in some way. You can search throughout every nook and cranny in the cosmos and you will not find a single living being who wants to be unhappy. Everyone desires happiness... ...and everyone deserves it. Happiness is your birthright, period. What excuse can someone come up with for anyone to experience this miracle we call life without being happy while experiencing it? There is no excuse. If you're alive but not happy, there is something wrong right there. Wait... Can you even be alive if you're not happy? Can you really say you're alive if you're not happy? These, I think, are the real questions we need to start asking. So, please, whoever is reading this, become happy if you're not already. That's the whole point of life. That's the whole fucking point! That's it!!! Happiness!!! HAPPINESS. Live happily. Please, don't ever again ask yourself "what's the point of life?" Please, don't ever again waste your time wondering what the meaning of life is. And please, don't ever again in your fucking life claim that life is meaningless only to suffer afterwards. That's completely and utterly unacceptable. Life does have meaning. Unlike what I proved in this post, I do not have to prove that to you. You already fucking knew that, which is why you've ever been unhappy. Happiness. This, right here, is the point of life; to live happy and die happy. Live happy and die happy. ? That is the point. Happiness, happiness, happiness!!! One more time: happiness! This is the point of life.
-
Thanks, all. It's never okay for us to allow someone to be unhappy because happiness is the point of life!!! Everyone deserves happiness, so I wish you all the greatest happiness. Happiness! This is the fucking point of life. ?

@kieranperez Good job!

Lol! I don't think, I know. We're here. Don't worry about his opinion. He's most likely a troll. @Shadowraix Happiness (yin) - the point of life. Unhappiness (yang) - not the point of life. Your thoughts? This is not what I said. Read all of my posts in this thread.

@Nexeternity Don't put your hand on the hot stove. -
No! Why do you think life is a dream?
-
@joej It's not "just a state." Happiness goes way deeper than many people think. I lack the ability to put it into words. Now I wonder: can I even put happiness into words? Hm... @Good-boy Those are false beliefs you have which contribute greatly to your suffering. Stop thinking of life that way. Life is a gift. It's the last thing you want to take for granted.

I'll pass. Like I said, I'm not here to go back and forth with people. Goodbye.

@Caterpillar You want to evolve for the sake of happiness. @Cody_Atzori You're making too many distinctions. Eudaimonia is more noble than hedonism, but at the end of the day they both produce happiness. What we need is the right balance. @Nahm Yes! ? @AxelK You can say meaninglessness isn't bad, but if you say meaningfulness is bad, you're setting yourself up to suffer the most in life. Reality includes meaning which make some of the happiest moments of people's lives. Denying this will bring you farther away from enlightenment and Truth, not closer. @Solace I'm glad. @Torkys I find it funny that you already mentioned projection yet you're doing so damn much of it. Watch this video: I didn't start this thread to go back and forth with anyone. @Gorlov You owe it to yourself most of all. Your Self.

@Torkys You don't know what you're talking about. Happiness is what you are fundamentally after. That's why you were born. That's why you're here. You and everyone else is here to be happy! To be happy and alive with a constant smile on your face. This is it. Happiness. It's completely unacceptable for you to walk around this planet as a miserable and weak nihilist. If that's what you think spirituality is, you are doing it wrong. Remember when you were a little kid and were pretty much always happy? You were supposed to stay like that! I want you to be happy. Forget about your ideas about spirituality, they are holding you back, I can tell. Claim your birthright of happiness. It's all yours. It's yours for the taking. Don't listen to anyone who tells you otherwise. Live a meaningful and happy life! Take care.
-
@Torkys No. Read what I wrote. I answered the question: "what is the point of life?" Nihilism is bound to make you miserable and weak. And there's a difference between integrating it and identifying with it like you're talking about. Every person I ever came across who identifies with nihilism is depressed and/or suicidal. If you truly care about your happiness you will stop this whole nihilist act. You know darn well that life is packed with beautiful meaning, so embrace it!

@XYZ And life purpose is not beyond words. Leo did a 25+hour course talking about it. Check it out. -

Nothing you said here is a reason to not have a life purpose. All you're doing is making excuses. Unless you're psychic, you cannot see the future. Therefore, you cannot ensure that any action you take produces the exact results you want. Your ego wants attachment to outcome, but deep down you know attachment to outcome is unwise. The best thing you can do is take heroic action and embrace whatever results come from that no matter what they are. All that matters is that you tried. Learn to follow your heart. I don't think the heart can ever be wrong. -
@Feel Good You're very welcome. Any time you're feeling down or have a thought that comes up and demands to know the point in life, remember why you're here, remember the point: happiness. You are literally owed happiness.

@XYZ We're still on topic. Don't take that book seriously. Author doesn't know what she's talking about. Just from reading that one link I was able to spot mutliple false assumptions she makes about reality. Exactly. So what's your point? -
Robert replied to MarkusSweden's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@XYZ Choose whatever purpose you want. It's your purpose, after all. The homeless thing was just one idea I gave since you seem passionate about it. If you made it your life purpose, it would not be. You can't be the most conscious leader you can be without a life purpose. No other way is bigger than this. And please explain to me [with clarity] what you mean by "pathological altruism." You're incoherent and not making much sense in your posts. -
Robert replied to MarkusSweden's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@XYZ Try taking 100% responsibility for the homeless instead of living in fear of them. Maybe you can even make that your life purpose. Something like: "I use systems thinking to solve the problem of homelessness." Whether that's putting them in gas chambers or better shelters, do whatever your heart tells you. Don't succumb to victimhood. If you look at the journey of any true hero, you will find that the odds were always stacked against them, but they took action regardless. They always had virtually no chance of success, but they took action regardless. And you can't run away anyway. You are connected to everyone and everything, so trying to separate yourself will only make matters worse. The fate of the universe is really in your hands. You're way more powerful than you think. I challenge you to go on a journey. Good luck. -
Yw. I get that. I feel the same way about this being like an online home. Lol The writers group thing is what I thought of since I write a lot of fiction, so I hear about them a lot. It may not be as useful for non-fiction writers, idk. But the other things I mentioned (finding a master or expert or critique partner) are surely helpful for non-fiction writers, especially the master. I understand you most likely don't have direct access to one, but I still suggest you at least look around. A high quality source of knowledge could improve your learning speed by like a hundred times, no exaggeration.

My heart goes out to everyone. Stuff like that will keep happening and get worse and worse if humanity doesn't wise up. Thanks for sharing, OP.

@Erlend K Cool. The most important thing is to focus on raising people's awarenesss. Also, I would say find someone or a group of people to get higher quality feedback from. This forum won't do much for you in terms of your writing skill. It's better to get feedback from a master, expert, people from a writers group, or a critique partner who is on a similar path as you.

@Erlend K Do you have any spiritual practices?

Robert replied to SoonHei's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
It will be way sooner than that. Like 2050. Lol -
Robert replied to SoonHei's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@SoonHei It wouldn't do shit. Might even make things worse. Psychedelics are a tool, not the solution to every problem.
