  1. That blog post is so interesting. Definitely reminded me of the Nightcrawler and the new Joker movie. Have you ever encountered a narcissist, sociopath, or psychopath? What was your experience? Also, does narcissism occur on all stages of the spiral? Any other thoughts on that topic?
  2. hit the nail on the head
  3. this guy is a living meme I've never seen someone so funny and scary at the same time
  4. Interesting take: pretty much confirms what Frank said. Psychedelics are powerful tools but they can only take you so far, at some point (if you are aiming for enlightenment) you gotta focus on the old school methods.
  5. @GreenWoods and I are obsessed with Lucid Dreaming, Astral Projection, Soul Travel, OBEs Since a lot of you are fellow oneironauts or aspire to do become one, we thought it might be a good idea to open up a thread to exchange resources, experiences, knowledge and hold ourselves accountable to develop proficiency ASAP. We can give you well over 20 book recommendations. Here are 7 classics as a teaser: Dream Yoga by Andrew Holecek The Tibetan yogas of dream and sleep by Tenzin Wangyal Astral Dynamics: The Complete Book of Out-of-Body Experience by Robert Bruce Exploring the World of Lucid Dreaming by Stephen LaBerge Are You Dreaming?: Exploring Lucid Dreams: A Comprehensive Guide by Daniel Love Destiny Of Souls by Michael Newton The secret of the Soul by William Buhlman Mastering these skills will pay dividends for your entire lifetime. Check out these threads to understand the vast possibilities that LDs & OBEs offer:
  6. I heard one should not chase magical experiences and meditate without expectations for miracles but I cannot stop my burning desire for them... any advice? Is it even true that wanting makes it harder to actually get them?
  7. @seeking_brilliance didn't expect to see books I haven't stumbled upon yet... thank you so much for the recommendation! May I ask what you like about this book in particular? What are your main takeaways?
  8. looooooooooooooooooooooooooooooool
  9. I see that y’all are hating on sadhguru and I agree with a lot of points but I feel as though there will be a change. Right now he makes really strategic decisions. This video puts his actions into context. Looks like he is playing his last rounds of politics/diplomacy/etc. to amass a lot of influence before going all out with very direct teachings.
  10. My intuition tells me that there is something wrong with discrediting meditation the way @Leo Gura did in the past. He mentioned that the duality between permanent and temporary awakening would be relative and therefore irrelevant but I would always choose permanent shifts over peak experience even if they are not as radical. It seems more valuable from my perspective... To me it feels more right to “attain” full liberation mainly through “natural” means while taking psychedelics along the way as an addition. Kind of like supplements are an addition to food. This way you know that you are not deluding yourself. You can be sure that meditation is not a trap but psychedelics can be. If consciousness is actually infinitely infinite why hurry? Isn't that another rat race? In the end spirituality is not inherently better than business, gaming, drug dealing, or anything else humans are doing/pursuing/working on. Why not chase those high levels from a solid foundation (Maslow's pyramid of needs and ego development) and a joyful emotional home (full liberation from the ego and self- or emotional mastery). This seems much more wise and healthy to me especially when reading through threads like this: What do you think? What’s your take on this?
  11. What is an effective way to build your dream (10/10) social life? How do you find like-minded friends or people that are on the same wavelength? Conscious people are so rare... The best way I found so far is to become a "high-value" person (get your shit sorted), host social events, and build a personal brand around your purpose.
  12. Have you ever lost your drive/fire/hunger or maybe even passion for your purpose/vision/work? How did you gain it back? I am not excited about building my business anymore even though this is a necessary stepping stone for my vision and life purpose which is the most important thing for me... Do I just need to stop being such a pussy, man up, and create momentum until motivation kicks back in again (good old discipline)? After getting deep into self-actualization I demonized SD stage orange (where I came from). I did not just demonize the toxic aspects but also the healthy ones like work ethic/discipline/etc. I threw out the baby with the bathwater, which created a big shadow. Now, after one year, I kind of integrated stage orange and slowly gained back some of my drive/fire/hunger (it is not at 100% again).
  13. @UDT Unfortunately, my early friendships withered away because we just did not share any interests anymore. When you work on yourself and develop at insane rates how do you prevent losing interest in friends that do not? It is a recurring theme in my life that I meet new people but outgrow them within 3-6 month. It is a blessing and a curse... I mean, I still like them and we keep contact but those relationships are just not fulfilling. I miss having someone that is 100% on my wavelength or even 80% haha I miss the conversations where you resonate on such a high level that hours pass like minutes... It is so fucking rare!
  14. @UDT Wow, very insightful! @nistake yikes, have you followed your own advice or did you meet those 2-3 people by circumstance/accident? @Rolo Yeah, it hurts to lower my standards but I agree. This is quite applicable/practical advice because SD stage green is kind of the last stage that is “readily available” haha, all stages above are just too rare (I did not mean to be harsh or to talk down on anyone, this is just the most direct way to put it). Stage green folks are also pretty much defined by the “ideal” attributes of a good friend: communal, kind, social, open, etc. @aurum thank you! @tsuki I like that! @StarStruck agree.
  15. @Michal__ very interesting! Is fasting just increasing your mental clarity and therefore your productivity or also your Drive / Fire / Hunger? At 11:30 he states that hunger for food made him more hungry for life haha If you stop overindulging in food or restrict yourself from such dopamine activities your discipline and passion increase naturally. I guess your weekly fast can be compared to a dopamine detox ritual.
  16. @SirVladimir I like that haha I worked for over a year on it and last month it finally started getting off the ground. I am reinvesting some of the revenue to outsourcing the most time consuming/tedious tasks. Less than one year! Not really. I would have to do some research. I think that this is the biggest hurdle. I just don’t really know where to start when it comes to building my social life at the moment. I assume that it will be much easier once I have the time to master it and maybe even travel. The thing is that I like to go all in on an area in my life until it’s either on a high level or mastered. I am already kind of overwhelmed by juggling school, business and my health... The downside is an unbalanced life. Right now, I do not have the recourses or the time to bootstrap my social life. It seems like a waste of time to invest time into my social life (at the moment) since I am not in the position (yet) to connect with the people I truly resonate with. That’s why I tend to prefer just gritting my teeth until I graduate.
  17. @SirVladimir Really good advice/question! I am not sure, I will have to do more introspection. For now, I guess that it would help a lot if I got my social- (& dating) life back on track. I feel as though without an active social life I lose a lot of energy (I am an extrovert / ENTP). Why did I lose touch with almost all of my friends? Mainly because I am not interested in being friends with unconscious people that are not personal development junkies. I wish I could enjoy such relationships but I genuinely cannot... On top of that I have very little time since I am building a business while still being a student & last but not leat, massive health issues temporarily made me become a complete recluse (stable right now). It is kind of a dilemma. Gaining my drive/fire/hunger back to work on my business is KEY to getting my social life back on track (because it will open up doors to the people I resonate with) & being able to do other things that make me more fulfilled (travel/spirituality/etc). The dilemma: Without these very things/this "result" I lose drive/fire/hunger lol. I am also not that passionate about my current business, it is just a cash cow that will open the doors to my life purpose. I know that this is the right, nonetheless, it sucks because... hmm... I actually do not know why. I should be grateful for my position and excited about the future... @Michael569 Yes I am! Currently, I am building an advertising agency. But as already mentioned this is just a stepping stone. I spent a lot of time creating a crystal clear vision (& action plan). To sum it up, this is it: l will reform this era by shaking up the education system and therefore raise the collective consciousness of our society. I am going to build the biggest spiral dynamics stage yellow education platform, which will contribute to moving humanity up the spiral. To manifest this dream I will focus the next few years on broadening my horizon & flipping the script in the online education industry. I am committed to fully exhausting SD tier one (especially stage orange and green) for the next decade to go all-in on spirituality ASAP. @Michal__ I did last year (different business), which was one of the reasons why I demonized stage orange so much and wanted to go all-in on spirituality even though I had no foundation (big holes in the lower stages of Maslow's pyramid of needs). This mini trauma is pretty much healed.
  18. 1.000.000 Leo, you are epic What is your bucket list? What are your biggest regrets? What does your current social- & dating life look like? Is it fulfilling? Do you have friends that you really like and resonate with? How old would you like to get (while being fit & healthy) if you could pick any age? When will SD stage yellow & turquoise be mainstream? Where do you see humanity in 50/100/500/1000/etc. years? Where do you see yourself in 5/10/30 years? What direction do you want to take? Western philosophy/intellectual like Peter Ralston or eastern philosophy/saint/mystic like sadhguru? How would you reform the education system? Favorite countries to travel?
  19. Leo tried to warn people in the video you can see above very explicitly and mentioned this trap countless times in other videos (toxic life purpose, ego development, spiral dynamics, advice for young people, etc). "Transcend and include" -Ken Wilber This is a key concept. If you do not fully integrate tier one you will inevitably develop pathologies and shadows later on. It was hard for me to temporarily pause 'going all-in on' spirituality. It sucks at first but it is worth it long term. You have to be a strategic motherfucker! Check out this post:
