  1. @whoareyou At the end of the day, the claims being made are verifiable if you actually take RASA and, through your own conscious direct experience, experience the LOC map rather than mentally masturbate all over it. Imagine if you said to someone "self inquiry makes you more conscious so that you can eventually one day experience God if you get deep enough into the path". Again, it's verifiable. You can choose to do it and see for yourself, or you can choose to call the person making the claims crazy. In both cases, a degree of open mindedness is required. Judging either RASA or Self Inquiry without actually doing the practice gets you nowhere.
  2. @LfcCharlie4 Really interesting stuff! I'll look into it and mention it to my RASA Facilitator to see if we can do that. Thanks for the info
  3. @LfcCharlie4 No, I haven't actually come across that! What's enneagram work?
  4. Exactly that, man I felt the need to create an account to contribute to forums solely because of the response I was seeing on this thread. It'd be a shame if any seekers were to be reading this and would not take up RASA just because of the sly digs here. And one of the beautiful things about RASA was that I didn't have to abandon my spiritual practice just because I was accepting RASA. It actually complemented what I was already doing. I still do the same daily Transcendental Meditation and Self-Inquiry, except now, RASA helped to deepen both practices; meditation felt deeper, and RASA chose to awaken my Spiritual Heart On The Right (explained in Ramaji's "Who Am I? Meditation book) so that I could practice self inquiry in the way that Ramana Maharshi taught. Have a great day!
  5. I'm quite disappointed at the level of close mindedness at some of these comments on this thread. I expected more from people in this community, especially when radical open mindedness is preached so heavily. Let's say that you're completely against the idea of an LOC system. Why would you therefore turn away from RASA? These are two separate things. One claims to be a measurement, and one is something that facilitates rapid awakening. I've been taking RASA since March (and strangely, just like you @lfcCharlie24 I'm also a similar age to you, from the UK, haven't yet reached LOC 1000 and have been on the path for 3 years now) and I can definitely say that it got me out of a spiritual plateau that I had been having for a while. I was incredibly sceptical of the LOC system, but I went in with the mindset of "I'll just get to 1000 and then keep seeking to make sure that I don't get complacent and rest on my laurels. That way, I've grown spiritually, whether that means full realisation or not, and I'm not falling for any ego traps." However, just a comment on the LOC system. Like I said, I was initially very sceptical of it and doubted that I would be able to feel any of the 'common symptoms' of a particular LOC. I was proven wrong time and again. It was eerie how accurate the LOC map was and how considerably I'd grown from RASA. My RASA facilitator would also say that whilst the 'symptoms' of a certain LOC range are likely to happen, everyone's path is still unique and so they may not happen to everyone. Still, this is a great general guide, from what I and many others have experienced. Overall, why any serious seeker would turn down RASA just because they don't like the idea of the linear system of measuring consciousness is beyond me. In conclusion, JUST REACH LOC 1000 AND THEN CARRY ON SEEKING IF YOU'RE SO SURE THAT 1000 ISN'T 'IT', BUT WHY CLOSE YOURSELF OFF TO AN ENTIRE SPIRITUAL PATH THAT HAS PROVEN TO BE SO EFFECTIVE?
