That's the artists curse, you know. Even tho you feel like the artwork you are providing has no use, somewhere for somebody it means quite a lot.
-
That is a repeating theme in my life to the point some strangers in various corners in the word taught me things that make my life work today. This is why this forum exists.

You know, I see myself in your situation, worse in some ways and better in some, but I am shocked how incredibly well I can relate man. I got to a point I jerk maybe 0-2 times a week and I just don't see the point of it. You can get there and possibly more. I would ask myself what is the time the average human being has sex in his life? Taking in the consideration that he will not be sexually active in good chunk of his lifetime, and if he will be, it will come down and have breaks. And with that I meant - the actual sex with a partner not jerking off. The number for the average person, including the people who work 16 hours a day in Indonesia, including the incels, including the religious guys, the unhappily married e.c.t, women on their cycles that are not turned on at particular times, ill people, sexually frustrated people, people who have exhausted this desire and children who have not yet arrived at that view of life. The actual percentage is so incerdibly low, ridicilously low. And take into the consideration, this is AFTER the oversexualized culture, augmented and artificial beauty, beauty products, digital editing, marketing with sexy people, the amount of pornography that it is there on the internet, the attitude and patterns of attraction people have due to the culture e.c.t. also the conservative ideology to an extent does say that relationships have to have sex in them and if your partner asks, you should put out or some nonsense. After all that. According to the numbers, life doesn't seem to be all that for sex. I would suggest remembering before you fap, that people are not having all that much sex globally. It is more like certain industries are using attraction to market stuff to you and industries like pornography blatantly make profits from the viewers and literally subjugate them to make them not creative and happy in their life. Of course all this comes after wage slavery, that is the more basic problem I am not going to talk about here. You will fundamentally need spirituality in some form. The goal here is to take life less seriously, then you have more clarity and can act more strategically. Repression and discipline can work, but it is more tricky and somewhat incomplete solution for the very long term. Anyway, cool, you are a mathematician! I hated math in school for the most part but I fell in love with it when I used it in Warcraft III world editor custom triggers. As i wanted to simplify complex triggers with more refined math functions. Like enemy unit spawn timer refreshing and scaling in the late game, depending on hom many units you killed in what amount of time. All kinds of cos, sin and other coo functions I tried worked really funky, but could be developed pretty intelligently. Also math works for music, but I have left that realm, since I just want to produce music. Cheers. Just take away one thing from this if you will. People don't have much sex in general. Remember this, before you masturbate. It is fine to do it, no shame, but you are creating more attraction for viewing world trough sex and reinforcing your escapism pattern. So recognize this problem and you will see the depth more and more of this problem and that uglyness will make you want to come out of it. Cheers. Here is some funny math video, I hope it is your last one and you don't need any more of em.

I beg for forgiveness in advance.

Absolutely. I have made a few long lasting and meaningful relationsips directly because of similar tastes in music. You inquire and share about music for decades, literally, and it can bring alot of joy.

Yes, sorry for the gross generalization, because I am not going to write a 3 page post on things that you should be looking out for if you are genuinely intrested in spirituality. So you are saying the following: When Sadhguru says the methapores like: - "you are not the body and not the mind" and Leo makes a video on "you are not the brains" is not the same thing (metaphysics) and a bunch of other stuff i could quoute but I am not interested in wasting that much time; And that both they don't teach meditation, both of them have videos on techniques altho sadhguru has some more advanced forms of meditation in the form of traditional indian hatha yoga and has conscecrated a linga, called dhyanalinga where sitting nearby it produces a state in you called dhyana - you and the enviroment become one and loosening sense of time; - they both are not talking about enlightenment;. Ok so what is false in this, what is not similar? Are they talking about different thing fundamentally? Does science accept the notion that you are something beyond the brain, as far as I know, no. It is merely being debated. But then how do you validate something of this when the scientific metod doesn't work? Then I guess it boils down on the basic street clout abd emotional association to somebody being a guru or not. I wonder why so many people come to sadhguru and his facilities, i think it is because his stuff works, as I noticed in 2016 when i did a good amount of isha kriya meditation, something like 60 days or even more. I still do his upa yoga practices. Of course now i follow even more radical gurus, and they advice is even better, but sadhguru is a good sport for people with western education. He is quite logical for a guru. Anyway, this is exhausting, thanks for the discussion, hope you have a great life, if you are on this forum, i think you are taking steps to it already. -

Yeah, the answer is yes. I have encountered psychics before - stronger and weaker e.c.t. -

Leo has a positivr view of Sadhguru btw. Yeah, like I believe that you somehow now magically have done his programs. Sure dude, I will take your word for it. What was in the program, what did you not like? About what he is bsing particulary? Maybe 3 examples for an iformative conclusion why he is bs? Or anecdotal story of yours? Or a blindspoted negative reaction towards a title that is a bad association? I am not saying you have to automatically like him, but what is interesting that you completely dismiss the guy. Why there is correlation between SG and Leo or any other teacher? Well... Methaphysics, meditation, spirituality, claims that have not yet accepted by science e.c.t. -

Ohh, yeah, sad is also that you think Sadhguru is always full of shit too. Literally the same category. If I made you watch Sadhguru you will call him a cult leader and you will see he sells inner engineering course and call him a scammer. Kinda catch 33 kind of thing, you know. -
Do you know how many events he has attended and how active his lifestyle is? He sleeps 3 hours usually. And eats once a day, a vegetarian meal also. Refined carbs and meats make you sleepy. Also alot of what I am saying is tested in my personal experience. Since this is self-dev forum I kindly invite you to test these claims and sleep for 6-7 hours and notice how are you feeling. I know I feel bad if I have slept more than 6, because of the pressure in the head region after laying horizontally too much, like there is increased blood pressure or something. That doesn't happen for me for less amount of sleep but you have to take care of the body more - yoga and diet is required to go to 6 and below. Like a really clean diet in content and eating frequency plus some form of yoga. Now, him being full of shit. I find it interesting that you say that, does it acctually mean anything here? Also, telp me why old ppl don't sleep much?
-
Sadhguru Jaggi Vasudev and hearing stories about yogis and some of the hindu and bhuddist monks, they don't sleep alot, because of their reduced amount of food they eat firstly. Sadhguru in one of his vids or maybe even inner enginnering course said - if you sleep 8 hours your whole life, you will reduce your lifespan by 20 years guaranteed. But in my experience you cant go lower than 7 without reasonable diet. Anyway. I have heard stories of artists who are very excited by their projects and because of that they are not able to sleep for long.
-
2-3 hours for yogis, (0 if they are in samadhi sitting with their eyes closed 24/7), 4-5 for bogis (healthy, active people who have a strong intention to wake up for something), 6-7 average western human, more than 7 is unhealthy, I would even say more than 6 is unhealthy.

Good, I am very happy to hear, I would like to encourage you to do so. Maybe some of my not so good stuff will inspire you to smash the shit out of those keys. My not so great playing something that resambles something close to a piano. Here is a fragment of composition I composed on musescore, back in 2017. Very chaotic, has element of serialism, yes it is microtonal. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1s-rjLJewuTaoBjAX7Ls1LYl_0-Ehov4g/view?usp=sharing Something that I like to listen as it resambles a completely different motives of what music does and is very far from resambling clinging to minor-major tonal harmony. for some reason I don't listen to classical music like at all, I have a bad association to it to be completely honest altho it is one of the best musical traditions of the world. This piece is very good, intricate, complex piece that almost sounds like neo-jazz-fusion or something, something like the next thing. GOOD LUCK ON YOUR MUSICAL JOURNEY FROM ALL MY HEART!

swadishtana - sacral centre or navel centre manipuraka - solar plexus chakra In my experience with this practice, and many others these become actual physical points of bliss, but that's with chakras in general.

What you can really do is that you can re-experience those events in emotional layer to relive yourself of thek which will make the interraction like 90% easier foward. You sit with yourself, close your eyes and then remember the event in the past exactly as it happened. So now let it get to you emotionally, remember how the event felt, example. I was being gaslit by my neighbour. He is personally insulting me, creating fear in me, he said this and that and did this and that. Now after describing that in more detail, i notice that i am feeling bad. So now you write down how you feel - he made you feel powerless, angry, upset, envious, inferior, sad, depressed, shocked, e.c.t. and now you stop the mental argument and purely focus on the emotions experienced in emotional layer. Like feel that powerlesness as it is with no mental arguing or proving some point in your head but experience it like the feeling got to you, really and be aware of it. And keep tgat intensity of emotion. Experience it as Preety with that mindset that identity at that time and place, not as now with new information. That also works good especially with childhood traumas. Now after a while what you will experience is feeling relieved. There will be bliss in your swadishtana and manipuraka. Energy from depth will reach your body. If you do this consistently then you will see there will be even lesser subconscious reaction to the next encounters. Or use it to become more fit and improve your eating habits, exercise routine, health, and mental fortitude with this technique. I tend to respond with more action when I am treathened. Just like Obama said: "Our enemies keep us on our feet." Good luck! I might start a journal based on this technique, it is called the completion process or samskara dahana kriya or smth like that.

Because you are using EZ drummer. Ask circle of tone. -
I might try to answer his question. I know he is bleeding with victim mindset when it comes to modern feminism and the state of modern man e.c.t. However why we should discuss it is because he operates in the self-help field and releases self-help products, and it is valid to ask others about feedback of his products. His general self-helf advice can be hit and miss, and I don't think it is the best, because it is not consciousness based (anecdotal) but his talks are not that terrible. If we don't want to give JP publicity, then how about people like Tony Robbins, Dan Pena, pick-up coaches e.c.t. We all started from somewhere and maybe people find their own missing fragments they needed to hear from JP, of course it could come with it's risks and misdirections, but i can come from you and me aswell. I am not defending JP only, i am defending the principles of giving everyone a shot to know what they are like and not merely skipping people because of clout opinion.

I tend to think everybody has ambition - acctually something more basic than that, the ambition producing facility in you, just like we have emotions, body parts, toughts e.c.t. "Lack of intrinsic motivation" or i don't care is more like a clogged up pipe or a closed chakra, if it is directed it is bound to find it's expression and he shows intelligence to attempt to solve this problem by the same mechanism. He has enough ambition to find the problem for his lack of ambition - so therefore I mean he absolutely has amibiton. He is in the beginning of the journey where you are crossing multiple laps. It is after all exponential-like growth in self-dev. From 30 minutes of visualiation to intense years of action towards big projects. The actual problem of the clogged pipe - and this is just the case with most of us - it is clogged by our dietary choices, mindset, lack of exercise, media, instant pleasures e.c.t., so that muse never finds expression, but the mechanism is there and it's in fact working to some degree. You described it pretty well in your - getting in touch with your higher self video. That is literally a starter for directed desire, where ambition shows. I am very suprised that you are not saying the following things: Visioning is the cure for lack of ambition; Self-development is the cure for lack of ambition; Meditation and spirituality is the cure for lack of ambition; Taking yourself less seriously, detaching from outcome, mastery, hero's journey, more emotionally motivating concepts are the solution for this problem; Stopping dabbling, taking decisions e.c.t. are cures for lack of ambition; Sure we are dealing with a complex problem here, however, there are steps to infuse that instrinsic motivation which is synonymous with ambition; I guess you have forgotten about the value you keep providing. And people HAVE IT just like they have arms and legs, just like some people have never in their life experienced bliss, because they havent awakened these faculties. But it is there, even if its malfunctioning in a form of regret, dissatisfaction e.c.t., that is a projection of unused ambition units, which is what this post is about.
-
I have to disagree, there IS cure for lack of ambition. And there are MULTIPLE. 1) Enabling your well being so you feel better during the day (reduces the need of instant gradification needs); 2) Directing your desires and efforts to a larger project, for life purpose, hobby, responsibility e.c.t., larger vision than you basically; 3) purnattva based spirituality; Ambition shows when you feel like you are wasting your life, when you feel you could have been doing something more productive and you are doing something boring - 9to5, too many instant gratification e.c.t; Acctually @Godhead has ambition. Why? Because this post exists. He is somewhat troubled by this and is in fact looking for something different. I would suggest that @Godhead would try to decide something to do (as Leo's life purpose course suggests) and do something, develop a taste for intensity, activity, problem solving, creativity and explore the rewards, process, feeling or bliss of that and appreciate the pletau's and struggles and the bittersweetness of the process of directed action by directed desire. There seems to be a problem that limits intrinsic motivation, but it is there as a working mechanism in everybody; What I mean in short is - hobbying, career, relationships e.c.t. - journaling, finding out what long term activities fits your skillset e,c,t, and put effort into that, at least try for a year; I don't think things like boredom is the same as lack of ambition - lack of ambition is more like a form of self-denial where you don't think you are good enough to even try and enjoy something in a really shady and sneaky way. That's my two cents, suggesting LP course here.

You know, I have always wondered about one thing. We all look for extraordinary people around us in one way or another, wether it is on emotional intelligence spectrum or beauty or accomplishment, wealth that the person has e.c.t., but if we look at ourselves then we don't have such attributes, because the attention is going outside. If you want to meet really nice people e.c.t., then you should be embodiment of that, and me of course too. And still if you reflect and reflect... what is going to happen is that you are probably going to be by yourself, because you can't find many or no people who resonate with you at all, and you probably won't be needy anyway after such self-reflection, that is just my experience anyway. The thing from my life I remember, there were so few people that voluntarily wrote to me or wanted to meet me, I had to initiate almost all the conversations e.c.t. and I guess that is fine, the tought of loneliness doesn't enter my head easily. And after a while, when I started more actively pursuing the meaning of life, I decided I should keep it this way and set a barrier where nobody that I don't want to can get to my personal life, so a bunch of people slipped out of my life and anyway I saw, they will drag me down and with most of them relationships seem like a chore, because I don't even want to talk about myself and what I like or not and I know my values and beliefs don't match theirs at all. And just after that I stated pursuing potential conscious relationships where I attended events and got some contacts and I get the benefit of giving and recieving in relationship and I write and meet with these people by my initiative somewhat regularly, and some of them are starting to come back at me. I am acctually quite suprised that Leo wants a girlfriend, of course, completely respect that e.c.t., but I think he could have done more extreme and extraordinary stuff in solitude... As far as I have underestood you have a significant other currently right? If so, then I don't think there is anything to say and goodspeed.

About the inner journey and meditation part don't worry, if you keep nourishing it consistently it will make you pick and drop many mindsets and not very long for a tangible place for truth, bliss and joy will be here for you. Even if the rest of the endevours fail, in my experience, this does not fail if you just keep meditating and growing. This is more rewarding than any other endevour also. It is almost like to be sought by design, it is so good. And so much more accesible too for you, won't even have to go anywhere or do anything to feel it.

Thanks for advice, i think I really needed to hear this.
