Thank you for sharing this. Reading through this idea gave me a huge boost in my optimism. I also had completely forgotten that food was so expensive because of all the middleman processing. If you sign up for their services, let us know how it goes. It's great to see more Green businesses popping up in the world.

Honestly, keep doing whatever you're doing right now. You're not going to figure out how you're going to make your LP work just because you get a massive injection of money. You're still going to have to spend time contemplating. You're still going to have to accumulate various life experiences. You're still going to have to build your skills and abilities. You still have bad habits and addictions to suffer through. You're still going to have to do all the self-actualization work. Well, you don't have to. But my point is it's all going to happen over time. Don't try to force figuring out your LP. Just relax and enjoy your newly found freedom.

I may be a bit premature here, but here's the gist of how to do it: 1) Pick a skill to freelance with. Examples of said skill include: Copywriting Google AdWords Graphic Design Marketing (Tends to overlap with other skills here, including Google Adwords, Copywriting, SEO, SEM, & Email Marketing) Photography Programming Project Management Proofreading & Editing Search Engine Optimization (SEO) Social Media (Social media management, social media marketing, etc) Teaching/Tutoring (Notably by teaching foreign languages) Transcription & Captioning Translation Virtual Assistant Web Development Writing (SEO writing, blog writing, content writing, article writing, etc) 2) Spend time building that skill. I've heard great things about Udemy and Lynda so try going there. I personally winged it, and in hindsight, I could've started a lot sooner if I had a more structured approach. 3) Find paying clients. Cycle through your immediate social networks and see if you can find your first job that way. If not, go through various job boards and send out proposals. Examples of job boards include: Upwork.com (hard to break into) Freelancer.com (not recommended) Peopleperhour.com Guru.com Again this may be premature because I haven't been freelancing for long, but what I've found so far is that: 1) Clients are looking for a go-to freelancer that they can use again and again for ongoing work. 2) You can charge a lot more for repeat clients because they already trust you to do the job well and to communicate. 3) DOn't be afraid to take on projects that are beyond your skill level. Think of it like you're getting paid to learn. 4) Most proposals SUCK, even from highly experienced freelancers, so it's not hard to compete. Hope that helps.

First, some stand out points. The page loaded nice and quickly. You've got an easy-to-use, simple design. There's immediately text sliding across the screen which caught my attention. Everything works and loads smoothly. I wish every website was this quick and responsive. Immediate CTA in the header. The accordion elements on the WDTMG page were phenomenal. Very descriptive and captivating. The submenu goes through the bottom of my screen. I had to hit the down button a few times to see the rest of the submenu list items/pages. The 'List of Stories' menu doesn't appear correctly on Firefox browsers, or at least that was the case when I checked it out. I'll attach a screenshot. At the bottom of the home page, make the heading 'Where does the money go?' clickable. On the WDTMG page, align almost all of your elements to the center. It's mostly aligned to the left and it looks quite clunky on mobile devices. Resize the browser and see for yourself. I can see this is a work in progress, so I'd say you've done a great job so far. Keep it up.

It depends what you mean by 'web developer'. Are you planning on learning Front-End Development or Back-End Development? Is there a specific programming language/framework you want to work with? I'd say your first step before you start learning web dev is to get a proof of concept. You want to prove to yourself that the work-from-home idea is real for you, and not just an idea. You already have writing and proofreading skills, so why not start there? Can you find small freelance writing or proofreading jobs and get paid for them? That should be your first step before you spend the next 1-3 months dabbling with new skills. Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying you shouldn't learn web development, but you'd be better off working freelance with skills you already have, and then learning new ones as you're getting paid by clients. If you don't give a fuck about the above information, here's where you start: 1) Learn HTML5. 2) Learn CSS3. 3) Learn JavaScript. 4) Install Wordpress and prepare yourself for all the plugins you're going to have to familiarize yourself with. 5) Go to a freelance job website (Upwork, Peopleperhour, Freelancer, Fiverr, etc.) and set up your profile. 6) Bid on jobs. Send proper, quality proposals. 7) Communicate with clients and get hired. 8) Learn while you earn (sounds great until you realize that you have to learn how to navigate around all the damn plugin conflict problems that arise when you try to build websites). 8) Complete job, get paid, and hopefully get future work from the said client. 9) Raise your rate as you accumulate more positive reviews. 10) Eventually get to a point where you have long-term clients, or that clients come to you. 11) <3 I've linked this to you before and I'll link it again. It's a course which basically covers how to start a freelance business online: https://courses.ndoherty.com/freedom-business-builder/ Whatever you decide to do, bonne chance.

That's not how it works. The joyful option actually takes less effort, but you'll only realise that when you take the joyful option, because then your mind be able to contrast between them. Look at what choosing misery is doing to you. You're becoming lazy, negligent, drowning in meaninglessness, and you're not taking action on the advice that you KNOW is going to help you. How is that more easier or less painful than putting in work? No pressure on you mate, but if you don't take our advice to heart now and take action, then you will suffer intensely until you learn the hard way.

All part of the spiritual purification process brother. This is all a good sign. You may want to start following through on reading those books and working on your Life Purpose though. If you keep breaking integrity with yourself you're going to feel miserable in the long-term.

Sounds similar to me. I also used to think that my meditation practice really wasn't working out for me as much as I'd hoped it would. But in hindsight, I was just so addicted to a bunch of other crap that I could never really notice all the transformations I was experiencing. You haven't wasted a whole year. There are probably other factors in your life that keep distracting your awareness from all the fruits of your meditation practice. Whenever I meditate now I consistently cycle through a bunch of different sensations which give me a real sense that my practice is working. But in the past I kept failing to notice this before because my life was numbed by a tonne of addictions and bad habits. That may or may not be the case for you. Keep meditating buddy. As your lifestyle cleans up and you get better at your meditation practice you're gonna start to experience a lot of 'weird' sensations, and you're gonna feel a lot more blissful. -
Not so sure about how to factor in the ataraxia/aponia. I can drop you some resources to help you start working online: https://courses.ndoherty.com/freedom-business-builder/ https://freelancetowin.com/

I had a 'different' experience of meditation from what I'm used to. I've only been meditating for almost 2 and a half years so I doubt it's anything too deep. During the start of my 2nd meditation sit of the day, I had a pretty intense sensation of pain around my solar plexus, and as I started to meditate I immediately felt overwhelmed by it and wanted to lay down. A minute later as I continued, the sensation intensified, I felt this sense that I was dying. Then some weird shit happened. My sense of hearing felt like it was rapidly disappearing. I opened my eyes and noticed that my visual field was becoming increasingly 'covered' by this darkish green light; like what I'd normally see if I closed my eyes, but here it was flickering rapidly and it 'covered' everything in sight. While this was happening the pain expanded, every breath felt increasingly more difficult to take in, my head started to experience mild pain and I felt increasingly overwhelmed. A few seconds into this experience, I got up, moved my pillows over, and spent the rest of the 50 minute session in the fetal position wondering what the fuck happened. While laying down, my sense of hearing slowly came back, I could breathe easier, the pain in my solar plexus felt manageable, and my visual field calmed the fuck down to what I'm used to. I tried to sit up and go through this 2 more times before giving up and just noting in the fetal position. It's been 40 minutes since that session ended. I still feel the pain in my chest, and I'm scared as fuck to try and sit upright again. I have no idea what I experienced but it's REALLY hard to sit through, and it feels like I'm dying or becoming overwhelmed with pain. Can anyone shed some light on this? Thank you.

One week later and I'm back to my old set point. I continued to experience lingering fear, apathy, and a major loss in appetite. until I experienced some harsh diarrhea 4 days ago, so maybe that was it. No idea what caused it though. Thanks again for all the replies and reassurances, I love you guys. -

5 hours later and the pain in my chest and headache have lingered. I decided not to meditate a 3rd time today out of fear. @Mad Max Thanks for replying, but I already read a lot throughout the day. @ajasatya Do you know any specific schools of yogas or techniques to accomplish this? -

@Nahm Thank you. I appreciate your words of encouragement. This experience really blind-sided me though; I don't think I was watching thoughts as much as I watched the pain expand and overwhelm my senses. -

The fear of intense suffering (like this experience), going homeless, going broke, bullying and ostracism are pretty strong themes in my life, as well as I do carry a tonne of regrets about how my life has gone up to this point and how I've wasted my youth, but I didn't realise how strong my fear of death actually was until this experience. Still probably don't. I've had no steady income for 2 years so there's a tonne of financial uncertainty in my life. I've got no relationship history to sort through. Your responses tells me this wasn't some sort of spiritual attainment like I hoped it was. -

@Nahm I don't remember too well what thoughts I experienced. It was a gradual mix of "fuck this hurts", "this is too much", "what the fuck is this?", "I'm dying", etc. When my hearing started disappearing and my vision started changing, these thoughts had a more fearful tonality. My diet is vegetarian - almost vegan, but it's still full cheap and not the healthiest foods. Exercise includes around 30-120+ minutes of walking a day 65 minutes of Hatha Yoga on weekdays and 22 minutes on weekends. -

It gets you awareness of your resistance to the content of your thought stories, and how frequently you try to manipulate your direct experience. -
You could use this video to get an overview: Meditation aside, try starting with learning about the subconscious mind and all the Mind Power techniques to reshape it. Read Mind Power by John Kehoe if you can. Good luck Matt

Heeeeeey forum, I recently wanted to start a daily habit of contemplation, but I realise I have no idea how to effectively contemplate a topic, nor how to decide on one. I always end up getting lost in my thought stories and it feels like my mind just runs in circles and I'm shooting in the dark, never really getting any insights or conclusions. Example: I'm trying to contemplate my death. I try to focus on how petty my daily actions are and what I would do if I was more conscious of it. But...what do I actually say in my internal dialogue? Do I accept every answer my mind generates as given? Am I supposed to be having an internal conversation? Am I just mindf**king myself? Overall I'm just confused on the actual process of contemplation. Anyone have any advice on what I should be doing to contemplate effectively? Are there any traps I should be aware of as I try to contemplate?

Thanks for the speedy replies guys. I'll try to implement everything as soon as possible.
