  1. Yes. But I haven't had alcohol for over a year now. But,hey! I wouldn't say no to a whiskey shot tomorrow.
  2. I feel that if you have the necessary knowledge, tools, time, and drive, then by all means venture into all fields. But, also know that an illiterate wise man is just as much creative by doing nothing.
  3. These are common states that occur when a highly active individual sits down to just observe or do nothing. Since the mind is being conditioned to always find an escape route out of boredom, it does the same when it recognizes that you are doing nothing. However, it should also be understood that the mind can be conditioned again to work for you instead of against you. Actually the mind isn't doing anything bad, it is just doing what it has been programmed to do and the good thing is that you can reprogram it again. The reprogramming happens automatically. So, just probe through the discomfort. Beyond discomfort, there is comfort. The mind needs to see it. You need to help yourself to see it.
  4. Wisdom entails spontaneous creativity. A wise man is creative enough to deal with scenarios. The question is what is your definition of creativity? Is it relative creativity like art, dance, or other physical skills or internal creativity, which is channelizing and transmutating?
  5. Since the first awakening has given us the taste of our true nature, Self Inquiry no longer holds the same effect as it did before. What other techniques could I use to center myself and prevent my mind from saying, "you already know who you are."
  6. COVID-19 is you! Whatever it does and whatever you do to stop it is perfectly perfect! You don't have to do anything about it or you can do whatever you want with it.
  7. It's absolutely worth it and the funny part is the once you recognize God, you won't look at your suffering as suffering anymore.
  8. Thank you so much. I'll follow the listed advice.
  9. In my awakening, I had the following clear insights: We are all one There is only Love energy True love is unconditional The Ego does not exist The true I AM is completely indestructible The true I AM is everywhere - in the mountains, in the rivers, in birds (the same words that I uttered during the glimpse) Life has a harmonious design Everything that I ever knew was an illusion and a lie. There is no such thing as time and space There is bliss and ecstasy hidden underneath the illusion These insights have stayed with me since the initial awakening and they have matured deeply. However, my monkey mind doesn't understand what Nothingness means because in the awakening, the awareness had a characteristics of Love. So, it is not even Love? Is there more beyond it?
  10. @Inliytened1 Thank you for explaining this.
  11. @An young being I don't know how I experienced it. But, here is the video. Also, you cannot drop the ego and monkey mind, it gets dropped by itself and without any effort from your side.
  12. @James123 Thank You! I will contemplate on these things.
  13. @Nak Khid The funny thing about my awakening was that it wasn't induced by meditation, psychedelics or yoga. It actually occurred after listening to an Alan Watts talk. Basically, when the monkey mind tries to make sense out of the experience and tries to gain ownership of it, I become incredibly alert and the mind subsides and my attention quickly turns toward the aliveness of the body (heartbeat and pulse). When I pay attention to something, I automatically return to heartbeat and pulse. I even question who is returning to the heartbeat and pulse and maybe I need to probe into it. Because dropping of the monkey mind is easy but observing it arise is not.
  14. I feel It is getting clear, although intellectually. The characteristic of Love in the awareness was still present in the Nothingness of awareness. But, this hasn't been experienced spiritually and I hope that I don't anchor into concepts of Nothingness.
