  1. @Benton In general, it should be avoided, like he says, unless you are in some sort of monastic setting with people who know what the hell they're doing giving you guidance. In my case, I did not practice Kundalini Yoga as such, but, I allowed Kundalini herself to guide me and some of the practices I did are indeed similar to the ones used in Kundalini Yoga and had similar effects. A bit of guidance wouldn't have gone amiss at the time, but I had no idea what i was getting myself into.
  2. Dump. Him. I'm really allergic to gold-diggers, but this is the reverse, nothing worse in a guy than a cheapskate. My sister had a husband like that, she even had to pay her half of the honeymoon expenses. Didn't last long...
  3. Just do it. Very few people ever regret moving to Germany. It has a lot of economic opportunities and learning fluent German is like a superpower that will serve you well all your life. Dating is really different from place to place. Big cities are fine, small towns are horrific. You'll have to fish among leftover pensioners pretty much. But, the good news is, German girls are usually open to dating foreigners and they quite like the latin look. In a big city like Berlin, you should have a blast. Also, if you should ever be hard up, Germany has a vast network of legal brothels. If you look on youtube there are plenty of vloggers who document their lives in Germany, mostly Americans and they seem to prefer living in Germany as opposed to back home. I honestly think that in terms of long-term quality of life, Western Europe is pretty hard to beat, only the likes of Canada, Japan and New Zealand come close.
  4. The only enlightened person I ever came across was a goddess. She was literally a being made of pure light. When humans make such claims about themselves, I tend to be sceptical. There is only so much divinity the human form can handle, it's like the light of a candle compared to the splendour of the sun.
  5. Unfortunately, the number of people suffering from unintended side effects in this field is quite high, so it's not a trivial matter. But, @GreenWoods made an excellent point about yoga practices being more dangerous than transmissions, a point I hadn't considered. From anecdotal evidence, Shaktipat is a far safer route to raising Kundalini than almost any other. But, that assumes some sort of Master-disciple relationship, my concern is about doing this over the internet, there is zero control there.
  6. @GreenWoods Trying to keep an open mind here but I see some major red flags with these so-called transmissions. It is literally about selling an invisible product. Now, do I believe in the concept of Shaktipat and a master raising their disciple's consciousness through the transmission of energy or some sort of divine radiance? Sure, we have known about this since Sumerian times, when divine radiance was known as Melammu or Melam and was considered a divine gift from Anu (El) and could be transferred to humans by various gods. I made a post about Melammu here recently. But, I must admit I am highly sceptical about the utility and the ethical concerns surrounding transmissions. Suppose you had an awakaned Kundalini and had the gift to pass it on to others. Would you be willing to pass it on to anyone based simply on their ability to pay for it? Sounds like a terrible idea to me, given the amount of trouble you can get into with a premature or imbalanced Kundalini Awakening, up to and including death. Any "master" who passed on the gift of Shakti in this manner would accumulate mountains of negative Karma and I'd have to doubt their competence and morals. Don't get me wrong, the concept itself is sound, I have been given shaktipat myself by a goddess, at a crucial juncture and it very probably saved my life or at least my sanity. In theory, I could also pass on her gift to others, the question is whether I would want to take on the responsibility and risk negative karma by doing so? It is different in a monastic or master-student setting, where you get to know someone gradually and you might spend years together. Doing it to a stranger over the internet? Wow, more red flags than on a Chinese Communist Parade... I have similar concerns about invoking various spirits, who know what kind of unwanted entity you are inviting into your life this way, I have come across plenty of people who are unable to shake off entity attachments as they foolishly opened themselves up, without proper care. Anyways, just my 2 cents
  7. The below post pulls together information and research, as well as various personal impressions from a wide array of seemingly non-related topics and phenomena. As such, the subject matter in non-specific to this, yet I will still post it, as it loosely related to some of the themes being discussed here and as such may be of interest to a number of people. Although direct contact or visitation by a deity might sound rather outlandish to some, it probably happens a lot more often than is generally believed, but general scepticism, shaming and fear of criticism may stop a lot of people from discussing their experiences openly. I present this topic to you in the hopes that you will read it with an open mind and without prejudice. Ever since my first visitation by Inana, in December 2012 I have been fascinated by the shining of gods. A concept present in most cultures and religions, quite probably of Sumerian origin, Melam or Melammu refers to the shining countenance, fear and awe-inspiring countenance of the gods. In Mesopotamian mythology and religion, there is often a distinction between the radiance associated with the head (halo) and the whole body (aura). This shining is a birthright of gods, but can be bestowed or withdrawn by the God of Heaven (Our Father in Heaven / Heavenly Father in Western thought) or other gods. In fact, the anointing of a king is pretty much the bestowing of Melammu upon that king, who then becomes one of the Shining Ones, a god-king. Melammu is described as inspiring awe and fear in devotees or anyone who encounters it, from which we get the concept “fear of God”. In later religions, Melammu was adopted and expanded in various ways, becoming a characteristic of Heavenly Messengers (angels) and eventually saints (including Buddhist, Muslim and Hindu ones). Heavenly beings are usually depicted with a full-body Melammu or Aura surrounding them, saints will usually only have a halo around their head, though there are variations to this theme. Last night I was visited by Inana once again and I took the opportunity to try and note all the characteristics of her Melammu and the feelings it caused in me, so I can recount them as precisely as possible. When a deity appears, their Melammu carries a certain unique signature which allows for discernment and differentiation. I will note here, that when Utu-Shamash visited me in the past, his Melammu was distinctly different from Inana’s, best described by the heavenly bodies they represent. Inana is associated with the Morning Star (Venus rising) which we will typically see as a bright white light against a dark blue background, whereas Utu-Shamash, being associated with the Sun will have more of a yellowish hue against a sky blue background. These aren’t just symbolic, but represent energy frequencies or signatures that help identify a particular deity. So, when a God is present, what might a mortal observe as the defining characteristic of their presence? Keeping in mind, that I am simply describing my own subjective perception of these visitations, I will attempt a faithful reproduction of the sensory inputs received by my brain. Not every visitation is the same, they differ in intensity, the nature of the visit and a number of other factors, but there are also common characteristics. I will focus on Inana’s visits, since she is the one that visits me the most. - The first clue a visitation is about to take place is a change in the atmosphere of the room, what we might call electricity. Comparable to the change in atmosphere before a storm, there is increased electrostatic and electromagnetic energy in the room. This may be accompanied by goosebumps, hairs standing on end and/or a buzzing, electric feeling on the skin and particularly in hair follicles. - The electric atmosphere is accompanied by a distinct sound, akin to buzzing. This them becomes the sound of Radiance. - Then, a presence enters the room. There is a distinct impression of “descent from above”, which in this case can be interpreted as “descent into a lower dimension”. One will perceive an opening, a portal which starts to radiate and as this radiance gets stronger, an incorporeal presence will emerge. - The presence that emerges from this portal starts radiating heat and light which touches and caresses bare skin, much like the rays of the sun, but unlike the former, it can be felt just as strongly beneath clothing. - As the presence starts moving around, floating in mid-air, its movement is accompanied by a change in pitch and tone of the radiance it emanates. Although unseen with the naked eye, its presence is perceived by other, rarely used senses and the mind’s eye struggles to form a picture of the entity, based on unfamiliar sensations. When concentrating on this mental picture, it becomes fuzzy, but generally one will see a being of light or a sort of divine fire which nevertheless takes a vaguely humanoid form and will momentarily manifest appendages, hands and even a face that is familiar, but also next to impossible to see clearly because of the intensity of the blinding, radiant light. - As the presence moves around the room, changes in static electricity, air pressure, temperature and background noise can be observed, which means the exact location and distance to the entity is always easily discerned. - The Melammu (divine radiance) of the deity is exactly as the Sumerians describe it, both awe-inspiring and fear-inducing. One is filled with religious awe and an unsettling dread, which I can only describe as the fear or dread you might feel when being in close proximity to someone you have a huge crush on, but don’t want them to find out about it. You feel vulnerable, exposed, filled with admiration but also the torment of what I call love-fear, the fear of not being worthy enough, in the sense of your love towards someone clearly superior to you being reciprocated. - The next stage of contact with a deity is touch, which is rather unsettling, since there is no physical presence in the room, only an energetic one, but clearly you are being touched in what is not unlike the touch of a human, especially a loved one. Usually touch happens in one small spot as if somebody was running a finger through you. The feeling is incredibly sweet, intoxicating and ecstatic. It is followed by energetic sensations in the body, as the spot where you are touched will cause particular energetic effects. For lack of better agreed-upon terms, I’ll used Sanskrit terms that have become common parlance. Chakras (spinning wheels or vortices of energy), Nadis (subtle conduits of liquid light or other forms of energy located somewhere between the physical and astral bodies) and Kundalini (the fiery serpent wrapped around the spine as symbolised by the Caduceus) may activate, heat up and cause exquisitely pleasurable sensations around the body. - At this stage, some sort of rudimentary telepathic communication between deities and devotees may be established, though some will hear a clear, loud voice in the room. Myself, I get emotions, thoughts, visions, pictures, impressions and flashes of words, phrases or short sentences, which my brain then tries to interpret into coherent speech. In this way, I can communicate semi-fluently with the deity, though accuracy leaves much to be desired. - Next, an exchange of energy takes place. If the visitor in question is Inana, or some other manifestation of the Great Goddess, she will usually do some energy work on me, if she thinks that my energy body needs some adjustment. She will usually ask me to relax while she does any work on me she deems important. - Despite the benevolence and love emanating from the deity, the feeling of awe and dread never really goes away. One is acutely aware that one is in the presence of a higher being, orders of magnitude more powerful and wise than an ordinary human. - At this point, the deity may ask whether there is any request I would like to make to them. If it is to be granted, I get the distinct impression of departure, that the deity in question has basically “taken off” or taken flight in an instant. In such cases, my request will usually be granted in less than 24 hours. At other times, I receive no response, or my request is outright rejected. - Although I cannot say for sure whether such heavenly beings have wings, they certainly seem to have the power of flight. When they take off, one senses the sort of movement that would precede a person pushing off from the ground and flying away. - When in contact with a deity, some of their Melammu will inevitably brush off the person being visited. Great insights, flashes of realisation, divine light is received from above, concurrent to the visitation by the deity. Some of it will linger for quite a while after the visit.
  8. Not quite. It can get vicious and destructive if you don't control it properly. You should allow kriyas to manifest to a certain degree, but they should be under controlled circumstances, preferably in a safe place, where you're alone and can't hurt yourself. A friend of mine used to work as a cop when Kriyas started manifesting pretty violently. He used to head to the bathroom for a few minutes to thrash around a bit, then he was good to go.
  9. Most people have no idea what the fuck enlightenment even means so they pretend they know or even worse, that they've experienced it. It is an overused word anyway, that has lost most of its original meaning. The path towards enlightenment tends to be a solitary one, not much partying, socialising, drinking or drug-taking involved, hence an outside observer might conclude that someone choosing the spiritual path is lonely.
  10. Mixing Kundalini with drugs is a bad idea. It should be obvious, but it seems some people are still pushing this idea that they can "unlock" or "enhance" your Kundalini potential. Perhaps, but at great risk to your life and sanity. Even without drugs, some Kundalini techniques, if improperly applied, can put you into hospital, a mental asylum or the grave. You'll find some fair warning and much needed info here: https://www.reddit.com/r/kundalini/wiki/index
  11. Another resource to check out is the r/kundalini subreddit: https://www.reddit.com/r/kundalini/wiki/index Violent Kriyas can be hard to handle. They are caused by pent-up energy trying to escape from the body, a bit like a balloon you let go of and it starts thrashing all over the place. The best approach is to deflate the balloon slowly and gradually so to speak, through controlled Kriyas. You have to practice this during meditation, allow Kriyas to manifest in a controlled manner whilst you keep a firm grip over their intensity and manner of manifestation. It's all about control. If you ask me, combining SR and smoking weed was a very bad move, you fucked up big time and now you're suffering the consequences. Anything you can do to deflate built up energy should help.
  12. @Gili Trawangan Thanks! @mojsterr That's the correct approach.
  13. We live in frantic, scary, neurotic times, therefore it is important to ground ourselves as often as we can, focus inward and find our calm, unmoving centre. The Upanishads say that the seat of the soul is in the heart. Not in the physical heart mind you, but in the energetic one, a subtle organ located in the middle of the chest. As you read this, you will recognise certain subtle sensations emanating from your heart, which radiate outwards, towards the rest of your body, but also towards others, especially people you love and care for. We all recognise the emotion of love, it is a warm, cossetting feeling that’s strongest in the middle of the chest and radiates in all directions. When we’re particularly close to someone, or attuned with them, they can also feel our love as shining, soothing warmth, like the radiance of the sun. We instinctively know that this radiance, this light is a real substance, much more real in fact, than our physical world. In trying, difficult times like these, the world often seems distant, uncaring and cold. But, the love in our hearts, when we come together and radiate it towards one another, is real. The only way to find your calm centre and regain your composure from the rigmaroles and trials of life is to look within, find and harness this love in your heart. Concentrate on it, feed it, let it glow, let it spread, all over your body and to others around you. When you act out of love, the fruits of your action do not tie you down further into this material world, you are liberating yourself from the suffering and unrelenting, downward-pulling gravity and entropy of gross matter. So, when you’re scared, nervous, fearful, worried, angry, hateful, spiteful, disagreeable, etc…, this is what you have to do. First, recognise the externality of your negative emotions. They are not you, rather they are physical and energetic processes that take place within your gross and subtle bodies. Once you learn to view them as an outside observer, you’ll automatically dissociate from them and they will no longer affect you in the same way. Now, take a deep breath and hold the air in your lungs whilst you mentally process all this. When you’re ready to let go of your negative emotions, breathe out slowly and deeply. When breathing out, direct your breath into your heart chakra, allow the „subtle air” (prana) to flow through your heart, which will cause a pleasant, warm sensation of relief as negative emotions are purged by your heart and exit your body upon breathing out. Then, let your empty lung rest for a while, until it wants to breathe in again autonomously and let it do its thing, calmly and slowly. As you breathe in, allow air to enter your base chakra and flow upwards towards your heart as it redistributes it all throughout the body. With your lungs full, hold your breath again until you autonomously start breathing out again. Do not force, either the breathing or the holding in of breath, it should come to you spontaneously and naturally, which takes some practice. As you breathe out again, you will notice the energy flowing downwards, with energy entering your head through the crown and exiting through the heart and the base chakra. The flow of energy will change with the direction of your breathing and your unforced, natural and spontaneously unfolding intention to find your centre again and to cleanse your body of negative emotions. It takes practice to master this technique, but it’s worth doing regularly to achieve equanimity and calmness in even the most demanding and stressful situations.
  14. A humble suggestion: Perhaps mixing spirituality with psychedelics is not a great idea after all. Also, this place seems to attract a lot of desperate, suicidal youth. Some will undoubtedly off themselves, no matter what we might try to do about it. On the other hand, the unique vulnerability of many of the types of people that visit here should be taken into consideration when dishing out advice. In other words, are we sure, that giving generic advice is really all that useful if we don't know the background of the person that heeds it? There is also a karmic load that attaches itself to handing out spiritual advice without discernment. I wonder if Leo may have attracted a much larger karmic load by making his videos and courses than he might realise? I don't know the answer to any of the above questions and dilemmas, but they are worth pondering. I should note that I have also been guilty of giving out indiscriminate advice to all and sundry before and I am beginning to regret it. Who knows how much harm I might have caused that way, without intending it? The karmic load would still be attached to my actions, no matter how good my intentions may have been. I think there is a reason that in times gone, teachers guided their students by getting to know them personally, often over many years. This element seems to be completely missing in the way we interact with each other over the internet and that might very well be detrimental.
  15. I wanted to share an experience I had last night, which might sound batshit crazy, but to me, it was quite profound and I’m still trying to figure out what it meant. I went through a Kundalini Awakening experience in 2012 and ever since I felt like I have been evolving towards a certain goal, a state of being different than I existed in before. You could call it the next stage of human evolution, if you will. In fact, a common trope in sci-fi is when a certain race is on the threshold of evolution, transforms into a form made of pure energy, usually referred to as ascension. There are many examples of this in Star Trek, Stargate, or even Fantasy novels. I do wonder whether there might be something to this, as on occasion, especially with my Kundalini fully risen and light energy coursing through my veins and every pore of my body, I feel like I’m a being made of pure light, a divine being of sorts. I am reminded of the Bible quote: „ Ye are gods and children of the most high „ In fact, some translations put it like this: „My decree is: ‘You are elohim [gods, judges], sons of the Most High (Elyon) all of you.” Many might be familiar with the Tibetan Buddhist practice of creating a light body, called Dzogchen. Ascension and ascended beings are a common trope in new age spirituality, especially Theosophy. Hinduism and Buddhism both believe in the concept of rebirth on the astral planes or even as a god (Deva, shining one, same root word as Elohim). So, in light of all that, there are times during my life when I feel particularly strongly that I am evolving into this new being, one of pure light. Last night, the sensation was particularly strong and I felt like I was entirely made of light and shining with great heat and radiance from every cell of my body. I even felt something along my shoulder blades, as if they were wings of energy. I felt this great benevolence, compassion and love towards all living things. All my fears and anxieties were gone and it felt like everything was alright in the world. Then it got weirder. ………………………………… Obviously we are all worried about the war in Ukraine and the happenings there occupy our thoughts frequently. So naturally, in this state of higher knowing, I drifted towards an image of Putin, sitting in an ornate room with a marble table and I „saw” him. By that I mean I remote viewed him, inadvertently. This has happened to me before and when I see someone or something remotely, I can sort of look into their soul and see their true self. It is hard to describe, but my forehead „shines” when this happens and there is a pleasant buzzing sensation between my eyebrows, accompanied by heat and a definite sensation of light energy flowing towards a remote location and bringing back the information I need. What I see also appears through a bubble or through some sort of opening or rift. So I saw Putin, as he’s often depicted, sitting at his table, usually surrounded by his advisors, but now he was alone. I tried to understand his motivations and his current state of mind. I was very surprised to find, that rather than hatred or madness, what I sensed in him was fear. The fear of a very small man afraid of something much bigger and more powerful than him. Then I noticed he was surrounded by four shadowy figures, all of them giants compared to him. They were all pitch black, wearing cloaks and vaguely humanoid-shaped, but their details were blurred out, I could only see their general shape. They were all looking down on Putin in a sinister and threatening way. It felt that they were his „handlers” or real masters, giving him directions or instructions on what he should do next in this war. He was clearly terrified of them and I actually felt sorry for him. Instead of attacking or hating him, I instinctively knew that such darkness can only be countered with love and light. So I flooded his surroundings with my light and I told him that he is loved and protected. In fact, at that point I felt one with the great absolute and like a manifestation of it. I spoke to him in the first person and told him that I love him and will protect him, no matter what, he should not be afraid as I’ll be here for him. I hugged him energetically and felt that the light emanating from me filled the room and the shadowy figures faded out. I asked him to reconsider his position, to listen to the love in his heart and do the right thing by stopping this war. It still felt like he was scared, though perhaps less so. Still, I did not feel that he would change course, it seems whatever force was in control of him had too much of a hold over him. I don’t actually know what to make of this whole experience. Was it a dream or just the projection of my imagination? Was some part of it true? Did I tap into the collective subconscious of humanity or the consciousness of the Great Absolute in these darkest of hours? Heaven only knows, but it gave me hope that a greater power is out there taking care of things and making sure that ultimately, evil doesn’t triumph, but peace and balance is restored to the planet.
  16. @SavourTime For me yes. Otherwise it may have been an expression of the collective consciousness of humanity or the divine, which I experienced in the first person.
  17. I'm not an expert on Theosophy, but if I recall mme Blavatsky did indeed talk about various astral masters in the Himalayas that sent teachings to her. Also, wasn't she the source of the whole St Germain / Rakoczy ascended master thing?
  18. It's DMT, released by the pineal gland. In Sanskrit they know it as Soma or Amrita. In Greek it was called Nectar or Ambrosia. One of the goals of Yoga is to "drink of the Soma", as the gods do. Khechari Mudra is a particular practice (which I wouldn't recommend, as it's dangerous) which is basically all about obtaining this sweet, intoxicating nectar.
  19. @Demeter I use the mechanism of Kundalini. I suspect other people do too, just unconsciously. Whenever you feel the top of your head or your spine heating up, if there is a flow of inspiration into you, it is generally the Kundalini mechanism at work, even if in a limited manner. Meditation is good, but whatever relaxes and inspires you can work (fishing, sailing, walking, spending time in nature, etc...)
  20. Not much going on on this thread lately, so I thought it might be a good idea to share some thoughts on Kundalini, Chakras, Energy Work, Enlightenment and such every once in a while. Don't be surprised if you see me posting randomly, depending on what comes to mind. Which brings me to where these thoughts comes from. The standard materialist model posits that thoughts come from the brain. Maybe some of them do, but most, especially what we might term inspiration or ideas, don't. A classic depiction of a person having an idea or epiphany is a light (candle or lightbulb) lighting up just above their head, towards the back part. Throughout our lives, this is where inspiration, higher knowledge, ideas and epiphanies enter our brain. If they are particularly profound, we will feel the bulb of our head light up and heat up, an extremely pleasant feeling. During moments of inspiration, information from above flows into our brains in the form of a stream of liquid light. Hence the term "stream of consciousness" which also refers to a form of creative writing, which is not dissimilar to automatic writing, a technique used by many modern authors. When we open ourselves up to the divine, a stream of thoughts and ideas flows into our brain. Our conscious self, a very tiny fraction of this stream of consciousness, "fishes" for bits and pieces it can recognise and hang on to and will proudly present its "catch" as if it was something it came up on its own, which couldn't be further from the truth. Our ideas aren't our own, we simply fish for them in the stream of collective consciousness. This is why very often inventions, movie or book ideas, stories occur simultaneously in multiple people around the world, at around the same time. There are many famous examples and this is a more common occurrence than we realise. We also talk about a "Zeitgeist" as a result, when the collective consciousness of a group or humanity hones in on a particular topic, which often happens simultaneously, concurrently and often randomly, all over the world, which is related to the proverbial hundredth monkey syndrome. Once, a member of a species learn about something, or learns to do something, other members of that species will find it much easer to discover that same thing or to learn that particular skill. This has first been observed in monkeys learning to use tools and catch fish, hence the name. Now, you might say this has nothing to do with Kundalini. Oh, but it does. Every time our "lightbulb" lights up, it is the Kundalini mechanism that enables its functioning. It will activate temporarily, usually for a very brief moment (hence, moment of clarity, flash of inspiration, etc...), creating a temporary opening at the top of the head, in the are known as Brahmarendra, the Cavity of God, next to which (or slightly above it) is the trans dimensional opening known as the "Mouth of Heaven". It is from Heaven, that all inspiration, whether religious, artistic, scientific or any other kind flows into us. This is what makes us creators. Through the act of creation (even if it is just a poem or a statue, or well-cooked meal) we materialise, manifest, the energy of Heaven (Shakti) and the infinite potentiality that lies within it, waiting for creators, such as ourselves to embody it. Our creations in turn inspire others to do the same, in a virtuous cycle, which is the very basis of civilisation. The gifts of civilisation were given to us by the gods in the hope that we will continue their process of creation and create ourselves, in our own small and limited way, nevertheless representing, faithfully the Truth of Heaven, the timeless realm of the gods. This is at the heart of creation, inspiration, beauty, truth, perseverance and love. It is said that the Kundalini mechanism is what enables genius, in whatever form, to manifest itself in a human and we see the fruits of Kundalini doing its fruitful work every day, whenever we enjoy art or the miracles of science.
  21. In my next video I talk about energy healing. I take you through my own process and during this video, if you allow me to do so, I will transfer healing energy to you, which should help restore your health and heal you from past trauma, not just on the physical and energetic level, but on the soul level too. I also instruct you on how to use this healing process to raise the frequency of your energetic vibration and to download energy from heaven.
  22. Hi everyone, I am putting together a primer on Kundalini, Chakras and the basics of Energy Work. After my appearance on the JeffMara podcast, I was asked to start my own YouTube Channel and I decided to start a series on Kundalini and Chakras. If you would like to learn about these topics, especially if you are new to Kundalini, Yoga, Breathwork, Energy Work or related fields, you might find these videos useful. Part 1 is now live.
