  1. @Twentyfirst “It’s hard to say” is not really an answer
  2. @Twentyfirst how is you “swaying” me helping the human race as a whole?
  3. @Twentyfirst by that logic: if monkey see you manipulating, they will manipulate… if monkey see you try to influence, they will try to influence. How does more monkeys trying to influence each other help the human race as a whole?
  4. @Twentyfirst in what way could attempting to influence children benefit the human race as a whole?
  5. When does influence become manipulation?
  6. Idk if you like jazz, but listen with headphones so you can hear the harmony over the stand-up bass. His solo comes after the head of the song.
  7. @Tahuti this post is not in the context of non-duality. I specifically mentioned the human race. I’m speaking as a human who is dual. If I wasn’t I would be absolutely silent.
  8. @Tahuti children and people are manipulated more than just by ads. Some people are in a constant state of manipulation, I know I can relate on some level.
  9. @Tahuti what is truth? How does it benefit the human race at large? What is conscious marketing?
  10. @Thought Art how does that list of stuff that you are saying we should manipulate kids into doing help the human race at large?
  11. @Carl-Richard okay. How can a technique cause someone to get developed?
  12. @Carl-Richard I love that picture. im not saying whether we should be kind to children or not… I’m saying what good is manipulation? and also what about the idea that a child learns more from watching how you behave than from what you say?
  13. so, how would you manipulate a child into this diamond? And how would that manipulation into a diamond serve the human race as a whole?
  14. @Carl-Richard actions intended to change someone else’s course of actions
  15. Most everyone spends a lot of time in their life manipulating someone else (or getting manipulated) I’m just questioning manipulation’s true function in the human race at large with what I think is the most rampant manipulation of the ones who are most susceptible to manipulation: kids.
  16. @Thought Art yes. But also this question is much deeper.
  17. Yes, I can see it. That’s why I’m posting and yes… parents all over the world are not “developed”
  18. @Thought Art me personally, no. But I don’t have a healthy parent-child relationship with either of my parents so I might not be the best person to ask.
  19. No because I’m hinting at not manipulating at all. No parenting book does that. yeah let em eat cake for breakfast… so what. Does forcing them to eat vegetables help humanity at large?
  20. If I wanted to buy a book on child studies I would have done that instead of posting in this forum.
