Hey everyone. This is my first post on the forum! I just wanted to share this multi-percussion piece I played for my senior recital, "Side by Side" by Michio Kitazume. Because of the Covid-19 pandemic, I had very low attendance at my recital, so I'd love to share this with all of you. This video also features Leo at the beginning hehehe. This piece explores the idea of duality and the chaos or beauty that flourishes when there are two forces that exist within a system. The two things are truly one, like yin and yang, but there is something beautiful and terrifying about the interaction between two things. That's how I interpret it anyways. Please enjoy, this is not an attempt to promote my YouTube channel, just to open a dialogue about music.
Hopefully the sound clip at the beginning falls within the realm of fair use. Lmk what you think Leo huge fan for many years now.
