  1. @StarStruck Awakening is the realization of the truth of your own being, and abiding as that. You become more human than ever before, not someone who now floats in the sky with wings The understanding can take 'time' to permeate all areas of your life, it's not quite as simple as have 1 awakening then suddenly all your health, money & relationships are magically in order. Enlightenment is the end to ALL your problems, but not in the way you think. You no longer see these things as problems, just situations arising in this moment in which relatively speaking, action needs to be taken. Awakening brings about a complete acceptance for whatever arises in the now, THIS DOES NOT mean you never take action again. You have a car accident? You accept it and take the appropriate action, you don't simply stay in the car forever and never get out. You lose your job? You go and find a new one, or start a business or whatever, you don't just let yourself starve to death. What awakening removes is the resistance to the now, the flaw finder that is the mind is seen through. Therefore, life is lived without resistance, this does not mean life is suddenly a never ending day in the candy shop, if you are living an active life (e.g. not a monk / yogi meditating all day or a hermit in a cave) human things will arise that need to be dealt with. Habits and thought patterns that have been there for potentially decades, still need to be dealt with, this includes subtle addictions, behaviors and what not. Awakening and Personal Development are not mutually exclusive. Doing Self-Development as a means to finding happiness of course is a dead end, Money won't make you happy, making gains won't make you happy etc etc. However, I am not saying they won't make you feel better, or give some Fulfillment, for example you will likely feel a lot better eating a clean diet and working out, rather than drinking beer all day and eating fast food. However, here I am talking about absolute happiness. The source of absolute peace and happiness, is realized when you awaken to the truth around your own being. However, life then becomes a celebration and an expression of this understanding and this happiness and love you now feel. From this place, Personal Development can help you relatively speaking with whatever issue it is you have, whether it's money, relationships, fitness etc, but you are not seeking happiness in them, you are simply doing it because you want to & for the fun of it. You go to the gym to not only improve your body and fitness, but because you enjoy working out (maybe not at first) You build a business, because you want to provide value, enjoy running a business and would like financial freedom. However, the big difference is post-awakening is that you are happy either way. Life simply becomes a celebration and you can do whatever the fuck it is that you want, that's Absolute Freedom, there is NO rules. This is why it's important you sit down and decide what you actually want for your life, and then you go out there and do it, Leo's video on life advice for young people is great. But, keep in mind you do not have to choose between PD and Awakening, they are very much compatible. But, you also don't have to do PD if you don't want to, you could spend your days meditating in a cave, or just living a normal life, it's up to you and it's your life- do whatever the fuck you want!
  2. @Consept @Michael569 Only just found these 2 awesome responses. So true, Sports are simply an activity, nothing wrong with them inherently. But, as you said instead of mastering the game and treating it as the art form that it is, and maximizing enjoyment from the game, people end up getting sucked it in the Orange society we live on of having to be the most famous or whatever, funny thing is if you just focused on mastering the Sport, as a result you would become a 'Star' and reach the top lol. I look forward to seeing more conscious athletes over the next decade, who are dedicated to their craft & purpose.
  3. @Waken This is by far the best answer on the thread. @Insightful27 Literally, do whatever you love, whether that's arts, sports, watching movies, reading, love is meant to be enjoyed remember You don't have to force things to be 'high consciousness' Francis Lucille plays a lot of tennis. Rupert Spira goes to Manchester United games. Eckhart Tolle enjoys a glass of red wine. You get my point.
  4. @Tanz I think all anyone is saying, is while you can't be perfect you can relatively speaking, help minimize suffering and exploitation on some levels. From reading this thread is seems you're adding a whitewash of Advaita over real relative issues and then using half-baked truths to shift it back on to the other person. As @Meta-Man calls it, it's known as the Advaita Shuffle. Or Pseudo-Advaita. Rupert Spira has a good example on someone doing it with the example of Porn. https://www.non-duality.rupertspira.com/read/addiction_porn_and_pseudo_advaita
  5. Highly recommend anyone waning to understand Bill Gates watch this. After you have please comment and would love to discuss it.
  6. @Leo Gura You stole the show on this one, there’s literally nothing to add to this thread lol, @Shiva99 essentially follow what Leo said, therapy and Non-Duality are not mutually exclusive. Btw who are you listening to that made you think this way? If it’s those bloody Neo Advaitans..... but seriously Rupert explains it will, and how therapy is necessary for many! https://youtu.be/u9CaC_ukRGE
  7. @WHO IS Same reason for doing anything - for the fun and joy of it. Why eat a delicious meal when it will be gone in 10 minutes - for the tase. Why get into a relationship that will one day end- for the love and joy of it. Everything will end, that’s part of the game. Life is a celebration, enjoy it!
  8. The most paradoxical part of it all, is the more you accept and love yourself, the more improvement and growth you will want to do. And then the more growth and improvement you do, the more conscious you become and then you simply want to be the best you can be not only for your own fulfilment, but to be of best service to the world, and spread love and happiness in your own way, whether that’s helping people get in shape and get healthy, spreading Non-Duality, entertaining people with your music or sports etc but the point is these things are certainly not in contrast with each other. In fact accepting yourself truly is the first step to growth, as it will help overcome a lot of left over resistance you have inside yourself.
  9. If you were seriously hooked like 7-10 days, after a couple weeks energy becomes much more stable, as long as your diet and sleep are in check stc
  10. @Hello from Russia Gotta remember these scriptures are often poorly translated, so it's hard to say what it truly meant. Precisely, every moment is simply a spontaneous joy, and life becomes a celebration!
  11. Awesome share man, not something I feel called to do right now, but I'm sure many will benefit hopefully. But, yeah, it takes serious research if anyone does actually want to do this. It can be dangerous. Also, don't expect to be doing any serious exercise or manual labor at all, hence why I would never do it long term, maybe a week-long water fast.
  12. @VeganAwake Sorry I could never support something that is promoting GMO food that will literally destroy humans bodies, long term, you only have to dig a little deeper to see who's investing in things like Beyond Burgers (nutritional value about as good as Dog Food) and why the GMO lab meat is being pushed. I HATE animal slaughter, however, simply doing something like this on a wide scale, will leave 100,000s of people without a job & will, of course, benefit the billionaires, there's a much better, organic way of doing things like this. That's put me of Dr Gregor a little bit then, considering he classes himself as Plant-Based and not Vegan, I'm surprised he would support such a terrible idea for human health. Keep it natural!
  13. @Alextvvv Yeah do it slowly if needbe, I made a LOT of mistakes and have only really gotten healthy the last year, and I’ve been at it for 5 years. Lots of fake meats and shitty foods (bread, white pasta, peanut butter etc) for far too long, whole foods plant based the only way to go if you wanna be healthy on a vegan diet, highly recommend people like Medical Medium & Dr Gregor, and a few others! oh and if you’re into bodybuilding/ fitness Brian Turner & Simnett Nutrition are great!
  14. @VeganAwake This shit scares me, as GMO as it gets, I already avoid fake meats due to how unhealthy they are, I imagine tbis is even worse. From what I’ve seen it has horrific nutritional value, don’t know what’s so bad about a medical medium style plant based diet that will actually improve your health lmao, people always gotta over complicate shit ?
  15. Nope self improvement is actually a form of self love, that resistance is just a form of well resistance train to do the work required. Acceptance and improvement are not mutually exclusive at all. I always use the overweight example. You can accept and love your body when you are obese, but it doesn’t mean you won’t take the relative required action to lose weight, get in shape and feel better, because it is actually coming from a place of self-love to improve yourself and feels as amazing and look as amazing as you can. So, accept yourself First where you are at, and stop beating yourself up, then from a place of love And the heart go and improve yourself and your life!
  16. Personally, I see it as an expression of Love more than anything else, I would say once you realize you are these animals, it becomes hard to torture them for food and your own pleasure, especially since it isn't needed for optimum nutrition. (Check out Medical Medium) The best teachers of our time were all vegetarian- Rupert Spira, Francis Lucille and of course Ramana Maharshi. I feel people like to distance themselves from things like this, but eventually you will have to face it. I went Vegan 5 years ago for selfish reasons (get rid of Acne) but I will never eat an animal product (intentionally) again, as I don't want to contribute to that industry. At the end of the day, it is up to each person to decide for themselves
  17. Why not just take it? Trust me it's fun, just don't get hooked lol, and test it.
  18. @Meta-Man Lol good luck bro. Someone always makes clear whether they simply have an intellectual understanding of these teachings, or have actually awakened themselves by how they act, and not what they say. Similar to that guy who kept exploding at people the other day. All people really need, is a good old fashioned awakening(s) and a few years of Integration, then all will be well
  19. @Hello from Russia it’s on the medical medium website, I bought a juicer for it as cba with the hassle of a blender in this case. get a juicer and you juice like 16oz worth, pour it through a siv into a glass. Has to be on an empty stomach and don’t consume anything before or after for at least 15-30 mins There’s a few more bits as part of the cleanse, probs will make a thread, as I never realised how many people are unhealthy (myself included)
  20. If you wanna detox check out Medical Mediums Heavy metal detox smoothie Combine that with 16oz Celery Juice every morning & no “radical fats” (basically any fat) before 12pm and you’ll detox heavily! oh and 16-32oz of Lemon infused water upon waking, 30 mins before the celery juice. Im on day 4 of this minus the smoothie and feel amazing
  21. @Hello from Russia Of course, if you design your life that way. It doesn't mean there won't be 'hard' times, such as when things don't go how you'd like, a breakup, death of a loved one, embarrassing moments etc but in the spontaneous joy of the Now, total satisfaction is always found, and life simply is a celebration of that- enjoy the show.
  22. @blowfish I usually do a weekly 24 hour fast, but never dry, will look into it @Seraphim He has incredible testimonials! Where are you from? In the UK it only costs me like £2 a day for all the celery, although the juicer was like £60 @mandyjw I strongly recommend him, at the least it’s very eye opening!
  23. @Dand Great response and experiment man. Also agree, it can be good or bad, I don’t see much wrong with using it sporadically from time to time, even if it just is with friends for a laugh.
  24. I'm in the UK and use like 1 and a bit bags of Celery atm, which is like £1-2 here, but that's not Organic, so I wash it heavily before use,and then drain through a Siv before drinking, strangely I actually really like the taste. Check out the Medical Medium's books on Amazon, crazy story, a crazy amount of testimonials as well.
  25. There's still plenty if you look around, and more emerging. My own teacher, Ananda Devi, is a woman.
