@IAmTheHolySpirit Yes, then I agree, fully feel and process each emotion with your whole body, and by doing this we will actually learn to deal with “negative” emotions much better, I used this technique from my teacher during my recent break up, and it was hell for several days as I was fully feeling instead of suppressing like I used to, but it allowed me to fully process the emotions I was feeling and the break up a lot better

Very well said, true awakening actually allows you to become fully in touch with your feelings and feel them fully. Neo-Advaita for some reason has created the highest “state” in their eyes to be one numbed from feelings, thoughts and what not. As the Zen quote goes- When we are sad, be completely sad, when we are happy, he completely happy.

@IAmTheHolySpirit Im not doubting Mooji has had awakenings, however I feel their are much better teachers out there, this article highlights a lot of scandals surrounding Mooji and his ashram, I highly advise reading it. https://www.google.com/amp/s/bharatabharati.wordpress.com/2019/03/11/inside-the-mooji-cult-be-scofield/amp/

The desire to escape suffering is how many people get involved in this work, or more precisely, the desire for lasting peace and happiness. Everyone always wants happiness! Once we find out that lasting peace and happiness is inherent in ourselves, all that is left is to celebrate life, and then everything we do is simply done as an expression of our understanding, no longer seeking happiness, but expressing it -

This question always amuses me. It's certainly a valid question from a investigative perspective. The funny thing is, post awakening you'll never ask why God is. You'll just know all that exists is God, and it has always been that way (even right now) It's just that 99.999% of people aren't aware of it, sadly. Check Francis' quote below -
@universe Thanks man, yes I do think it effects your sleep if I’m honest. It’s hard to quit, what has helped me is lemon water, cold showers, Wim Hof and celery juice lmao, oh and morning fruit for energy. Will report back in a month, but I feel “normal” again.

???????? Then as good old Francis says, life becomes a celebration. For some that means meditating in a cave or ashram, for others it means having a family and for others playing tennis and talking about Non-Duality @deso My advice would be to solely focus on happiness, focus on the fundamentals first and get the basics in check to help you feel better- food, diet, lifestyle, exercise. Maybe try reconnecting with some friends to chat about how you feel, and build some relationships up. Awakening doesn’t mean you have to give up everything though, for some ot happens naturally, for others they actually do more post awakening, so don’t think you have to give up all of your life, you are actually free to live life deeper than you ever have before! -

@Raptorsin7 Once you discover that your happiness is not dependent on any sort of outcome of the game, you can be fully involved in the game and want to win, but if you lose it’s okay with you and you’ll remain happy. I couldn’t disagree more that you shouldn’t want to win, when you play a game of course you want to win, and you want to be fully involved, that’s where the joy of playing comes from, BUT, if you are also okay with losing you won’t be moody all night when you lose. The 2 best people I’ve seen speak on this are Francis Lucille & Sadhguru, in relation to actual sport. Here’s some links that will help you, this is something I struggled with as I play sport, and I realised I will always want to win and give my all to win, however my happiness isn’t dependent on any result. If we win that’s awesome, but if we lose I’m not suddenly going to become unhappy, as happiness isn’t dependent on anything. This way you can be fully involved in every game, but not dependent on it for your happiness. It also reduces a lot of anxiety and allows you to play freely, without worry. https://isha.sadhguru.org/global/en/wisdom/sadhguru-spot/be-a-sport Never stop truly involving yourself in life, that’s where the fun comes from. Just understand your happiness isn’t dependent on anything, and that way you can truly enjoy it even more! -

Most human beings are not aware of their true being, hence the lack of love and lots of selfishness. Love is all that exists, Love being a synonym for Consciousness or Truth, they all point to the indescribable reality. Awakening to infinite love is what will truly set you free. -
LfcCharlie4 replied to ivory's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
Being Immortal = Realization of The Self = Absolute Peace & Happiness, so I'll go with that one But, on a serious note, most people start meditating to help their Sleep, Depression or Anxiety etc, naturally for some it will evolve into a deep exploration of truth and awakening, and for others that isn't their path in this lifetime. Truth is so life shattering that I just don't feel it should be forced, it literally consumes your life and there is no going back. Not for the faint hearted as you know! -
LfcCharlie4 replied to ivory's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@Seraphim Thanks man! I just feel there is no need to dive deep into truth and awakening until you are 100% ready and committed. Until then do what your heart desires, and sure still meditate and what not as it can have amazing benefits -
I am posting this here and not health & fitness for 2 reasons. 1) I want to make sure @Leo Gura see's this, I feel this could really help your thyroid issues, I know you're probably sick of people telling you this, but this author has a book dedicated to Thyroid healing, and I highly recommend it if you haven't read it. Also, 99% of us are unhealthy to some degree due to society we live in, our diet or our lifestyle, even those of us who consciously take care of our health, these books have helped me realize this even more so. 2) This is about the Medical Medium 30 Day Cleanse, his story very much has a spiritual element to it, I will link it here, and allow you to judge for yourselves. https://www.medicalmedium.com/medical-medium-about-anthony-william I'm sure some of you will think it is complete BS and Woo-Woo, and some of you it will hopefully help with your symptoms. You don't need to be chronically ill or have issues to take part in this cleanse, the majority of us have symptoms (even headaches, allergies, fatigue, anxiety, depression etc ALL fall under this) and this cleanse can really help tackle them, I personally will be taking this much further than the 30 days and doing until the end of the year, but if I keep feeling this good, I imagine it will be forever lol. So this is the cleanse- 16-32oz of Lemon Juice upon waking up 16oz of Celery Juice EVERY Morning on an empty stomach - DO NOT consume ANYTHING with the Celery at all, and NOTHING for 15-30 minutes prior or after consuming the Celery juice. - How to make it - https://www.medicalmedium.com/medical-medium-celery-juice-movement.htm Celery Juice is regarded as medicine and is NOT calorie replacement! Then enjoy a 'Fat Free' breakfast- Fruit, Fruit Smoothie or The Heavy Metal detox smoothie linked here- https://www.medicalmedium.com/blog/heavy-metal-detox-smoothie Avoid 'Radical Fats' until at least 12PM - Including Milk, cheese, butter, eggs (he says these are the WORST possible food you can eat as they feed viruses and bacteria), oil, Peanut Butter ( ) & more. - https://www.medicalmedium.com/blog/do-you-have-a-fatty-liver Stay hydrated all day long - pretty obvious what to do here. Avoid Problematic foods ALL day for the 30 days Problematic foods list - Eggs, All Dairy Products, Gluten, Corn, Soy, Pork Products, Nutritional Yeast, Canola Oil &Other refined oils, Natural Flavors, Vinegar & fermented foods. I get this list will trigger most people, it did me at first, here's an article with his reasoning for all these foods- a lot of it makes great sense - https://www.medicalmedium.com/blog/foods-to-avoid-for-healing-chronic-illness So, I challenge anyone who wants to improve their health to up their game, whether you're Vegan, Keto, Paleo, Juicing Diet, whatever, we all probably have been consuming some form of the problem foods& have 1/2 symptoms. Here's a link to some podcasts with Anthony Williams the Medical Medium.

1000 By Ramaji Intimacy With the Infinite By Ananda Devi Any book by Rupert Spira or Francis Lucille Enjoy! Agree with @Meta-Man truth should not be forced. And Francis video is PERFECT! I also wanted to add this doesn't mean you shouldn't meditate / do yoga etc, Francis is merely saying in terms of awakening and realizing the true nature of your being it should be done from a joyful place, not a repetitive boring one. But, we have to remember 99% (maybe less) of people who meditate are not ready for awakening, and that's okay, even helping people get started with beginners Guided Meditation or yoga is great and they will see many benefits such as reduced anxiety, better sleep etc, plus eventually many will want to dive deeper as they begin to reap the benefits and then find Non-Dual teachings. Everyone starts somewhere! But, in terms of awakening it needs to come from a passionate place of investigation and wonder of the true nature of yourself and reality, wanting to uncover truth, wanting to uncover absolute peace and happiness. So, if you want to simply meditate for the benefits it brings relatively speaking then simply download Headspace or buy a few Audiobooks on Guided Meditations (I say buy, as money helps us take action!) and return to truth and awakening when you are ready, you don't have to take this path at this point, follow your hearts desire and do whatever your heart is desiring! And, then when you feel ready to return and feel passionate about truth and this work, return and investigate joyously, and then that investigation / contemplation, will become a deeper and deeper abidance as what and who you truly are! This article explains the difference well, most of us start believing Meditation is an activity 'I' do, and that is a great place to start! But, eventually we realize Meditation is what we are, and awakening and abidance as The Self, is essentially a 24/7 ever deepening meditation! (Formal meditation can still happen though if someone wanted to!) https://non-duality.rupertspira.com/read/meditation_is_simply_to_be_ -

@Meta-Man I like that one as well. Great points regarding pleasures deepening, love deepening without attachment and actually becoming a better parent without attachment. Whenever anyone is in a neo-Advaita or nihilism funk, the answer is always love! -
@StarStruck Yeah, it can be applied to anything mate. One can have sex to fill a void, or one can have sex for the joy of it and as an expression of love & happiness. The best Law Of Attraction teachers will tell you that first, become happy and “raise your vibration” and realise you don’t need anything to make you happy, and then from this place you can manifest whatever you want for the fun of it, not because you need it to be happy.

Here’s a hack I found 16oz Celery Juice on An empty stomach every morning. it’s healing to your body and energises you subtly throughout the day. However, if you have abused caffeine for years, you will get withdrawals for a while’

In regards to the addiction, yes just whitewashing it with a veneer of Advaita isn’t going to do the trick. It’s very easy to say “oh well yeah I’m addicted to porn and watch it 5 times a day but it’s all appearing in awareness so it’s cool” Its hard to actually have the self-love to know you deserve and can express your sexuality in a much healthier and loving way and take the steps to overcome this addiction. as you say, addiction is coming from a sense of lack, especially extreme addiction. But, it is also habit forming, so may take time to reverse these old habits. For example, let’s say you have an argument with someone, usually you’d have your favourite ice cream now, you would have to change that behaviour pattern, which may take some work. So, it would also be an idea to investigate why you are involving yourself with this addiction, a lot of these issues will likely be resolved before you even get to awakening work, but some subtle ones may remain and will again involve investigation and the necessary relative steps to overcome. just to be clear whether you are a successful billionaire with a jacked body & the dream life or a bum on the street injecting heroin makes 0 difference absolutely speaking, but relatively it will have a huge impact on your existence, the absolute is always at peace and happy no matter what, it’s quite the paradox. However, addictions overall come from a place of lack, hence need to be investigated. This doesn’t mean you cant do things like drink alcohol or smoke weed or eat unhealthy food after awakening as a celebration, the difference is you aren’t doing it from a sense of lack to fill a void! When I say you are “okay” with whatever happens, I simply mean your inherent peace and happiness are not threatened by it, it doesn’t mean you won’t be sad or angry when things happen, it just means your true nature and absolute happiness is always unaffected. For example, let’s say you start a business and it does bust and you lose the business, you will of course be upset and potentially angry etc, BUT you, absolutely speaking, will still be happy and at peace, if you have awakened. It’s quite the paradox and can be hard to understand, especially for the mind, my advice would be dive deep enough into awakening, and find out these truths for yourself! here’s some videos & articles that explain it better than I can https://non-duality.rupertspira.com/read/addiction_porn_and_pseudo_advaita

Awesome blog! Just wanted to add, in my experience at least Non-Duality has made sex EVEN better in terms of deepening the experience of Sex, and I do feel it is more than possible to have a relationship post awakening that is an expression of ever deepening love, and can certainly include a happy sex life. I would say when integrated it leads to a much healthier, more loving and more fulfilling sex life. The distinction I would make is in the awakening process it would be tough, as you would be so focused on your Awakening, it would become difficult I feel to maintain a relationship, I found it most difficult when seeking, and much easier post awakening. I also don't think it's as simple as 'More awakened; less sex drive.' I actually think it varies in case to case, and your natural sexuality will express itself more and more, without the need to escape through sex & porn, sure it could be lower, or Celibacy, but it could also mean a more expressive sex life too. One last point, a lot of people who have these deep awakenings tend to be older, maybe that could play a role in the sex drive too. However, it must be said, nothing beats the absolute peace and happiness that awakening brings. It's easy to take it for granted at times. Then sex simply becomes a way to celebrate life and express this understanding, instead of a way to escape life. Rupert has the only decent video I've ever found on it.
