Lmao I remember when he claimed he’d never been gym, despite being a pro athlete (already indicating great physical genetics) and on top of that clearly has unreal weightlifting genetics. I saw someone say it’s gone from saying “I’m natty, just got great genetics” to ”my genetics are so good. I don’t even work out” ??? I watched him play against Liverpool at the weekend and he was dreadful, with such physical talents he has so much potential in the right team & system

Is there a particular facet you love & could delve deeper in to help people? for example if you loved nutrition or sports, you could delve deep into that area & then coach in that area & help people grow in that area. I think general “Self-Help” is quite saturated, but if you specialise you could stand out- maybe check Leo’s 65+ sub fields of self help video

Why do most people on here seem to hate sports? Sports add so much to so many people’s lives, at the very least the spark enjoyment & love from people, is that not adding value to people’s lives and as a result adding value to a society? This is like saying an artist or musician doesn’t add anything to society, when of course they do. I would say be wary of judging everything based on “value” as that’s a fast track to a transactional life, for example only when you’re directly doing something of value is your life worthwhile. To you, sports may not do much, just like to me, I have no interest in computer Programming, yet to billions around the world they enrich their lives & most importantly people love playing them & isn’t life quite literally about enjoying it & doing what you love? The reason Leo does what he does is precisely because he loves it, I remember both Rupert Spira / Francis Lucille they teach simply because they love to, it is one of many ways to express this understanding. What makes a great athlete great, is because they love the sport, same as great writers, musicians, artists, inventors, scientists, spiritual teachers etc, they are all doing what they love. People contribute to society on different levels. Im sure the millions of people who were inspired to start boxing & Golf as a result of these 2 strongly disagree that they “add nothing.” Have you ever played / watched sport? Billions of people love sport worldwide and it improves there lives, as well as the countless physical & mental benefits it has, that’s aside from the entertainment these 2 in particular provide when they perform. This is the same for writers, musicians, artists etc as I mentioned above. Just because they aren’t enlightening people directly, doesn’t mean it isn’t a valuable LP. Sport helps society in a number of ways, I think it’s very naive to say it doesn’t. If you don’t like sport, that’s fair enough, but to just discredit billions of people’s forms of enjoyment is quite reductionist, do you not think? To me a good example of a LP is doing something you love, for the love of it that also has a positive impact on society in any way. So, in the athletes case they are obviously doing something they love, and then they are 1) entertaining the fans & spectators that watch them, and providing enjoyment to people that way 2) inspiring / encouraging people to play sport themselves which as I mentioned before has helped & improved billions of people’s lives a number of ways- physically, mentally, socially, teaching discipline, offering life lessons as well etc. You mention Ninja & I think video games are slightly different, as while they offer enjoyment & social benefits, they are more prone to negative effects as we all know. (Not saying sports are perfect, but it’s far healthier to play football than play FIFA for hours on end) Not everyone is destined to be a spiritual teacher, or something in spirituality. This understanding can be expressed in numerous ways, and I for one look forward to when more awakened beings enter fields like sports, art, writing, movies, science, etc etc Sorry for the rant, but I feel sports gets a shit rep on here for some reason, and think it’s completely unjustified, I’ll leave you with 2 things- A video from Rupert on career- (Sports express love, for example Francis plays Tennis) Sadhguru article on sports- https://isha.sadhguru.org/global/en/wisdom/sadhguru-spot/be-a-sport ”Being a sport means you are willing to play. Willing to play means you are involved or alive to the situation in which you exist, and that is the essence of life. If there is anything that is truly close to a spiritual process, in the normal course of life, that is sports. Swami Vivekananda went to the extent of saying, “In kicking a ball or playing a game, you are much closer to the Divine than you will ever be in prayer.” Because you can pray without involvement, but you cannot play sports without involvement, and involvement is the essence of life.” Spend your life doing something you love, that should be the starting point! Then from there create positive impact

So, I saw this video by a guy I used to watch that used Leo's face to ridicule the 'New Age' movement, and it led me down a rabbit hole of this trend I guess you could call it- 'From New Age To Jesus' Essentially the video & the other videos are saying Awakening is a lie, the New Age is 'Satanic & Demonic' & in fact a few minutes in they both ask you for a debate @Leo Gura (Are you going to do it?) My question is why do you think this happens? It seems like a standard regression to Stage Blue, but then that could be my bias of course! A lot of people say they felt shit on the 'New Age' practices, to me it sounds like Dark Night Of The Soul, but again, could be my bias. Wondered your guys opinion, is this all the Devil? And, why do you think people turn back to 'Traditional Religion' whether that be Christianity or Islam, or any other. Actually, this rabbit hole started on a PD YouTuber I watched who went back to Islam, and the comments on his video were preaching Jesus, which I found interesting. Think it would be a very interesting debate for you Leo if you do go on his podcast!

@Adamq8 Becoming more mainstream, getting more attention outside of Non-Dual communities, it's normal practice @Osaid Ah, didn't know that, cheers, but just typing the title into YouTube and there is SOO many videos! I see he said he doesn't see the value in it, I thought maybe to show this guys audience how ideology works, even if it helps a few people it's worth it right? -

@Javfly33 yep, happiness is what you are! -
LfcCharlie4 replied to Beginner Mind's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@Javfly33 Yah, we have to be semantically careful & make sure we’re on the same page when using words like happiness. Absolute happiness isn’t like a permanent “high”. It is peace in motion, it is fulfilment & contentment, it is complete living in the now without resistance. In normal terms happiness is often thrown around as a result of good things happening, e.g. I was happy when Liverpool won the league in May, I would describe that more as euphoria / elation. but yes you’re right! -
LfcCharlie4 replied to lukasferre's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@lukasferre If you have deep trauma and issues from your childhood I would recommend finding an expert in that area on top of a Spiritual Teacher for this work. These are complex issues (relatively speaking) and healing them will certainly help massively on the path, although you can certainly awaken & then post awakening when the I thought it dissolved working through these emotions will be even easier! Unfortunately I don’t know any experts, but I’m sure yourube, google, books etc will help you -
LfcCharlie4 replied to BlackMaze's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@BlackMaze Awakening means you know it’s no longer the little self running the show, and you actually have the power of The Self / Pure Awareness behind you, so yes! There’s a catch though, you won’t be able to get away with bollocks & the business will actually have to be conscious, which will make it harder! -
@RendHeaven Lol this is crazy but I’m exactly the same age and weight as you ? And Vegan ? Although my goal is to get to a lower body fat before a “Main Gain” How’s your training? I really recommend coach Greg he’s helped me understand building muscle healthily so much better! Although it is defo more difficult eating high protein as a vegan!

@Javfly33 Haha, yessss -
Coach Greg on YouTube is the best resource on this I've found. I'm following his 3 day hypertrophy split and loving it so far! I would also recommend a slow & 'MainGain' period instead of cycles of bulking & cutting which can be quite draining mentally and physically. Don't forget stretching & cardio, which is even more important than weight training for health!

@Javfly33 So true, lmao. Once you know your true being, playing the character just becomes a fun game & the way you live the understanding. Your happiness is no longer dependent on anything external, meaning you can actually enjoy 'things & activities & relationships' even more. You no longer need to play an image, so you can authentically be yourself without any restriction. Life literally becomes a celebration, it's so fun! I always found it most paradoxical that when you know you are not a human, you can enjoy the 'human experience' 1000x more, one of many great paradoxes in this teaching, lol. And, when it is time for you to leave this body, you have no fear of death, as you know nothing real can ever die. Genuinely, 'We' are all so lucky to have stumbled across Non-Duality. I mean look at the world, most are searching for scrapes of happiness outside of themselves, when the treasure chest can only be found within realizing their own being! -
LfcCharlie4 replied to Someone here's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
Here's one of my favorite passages that explains this paradox so well- 'Then you are natural pure awareness itself yet retain your sense of being a person. You are able to enjoy having a unique human identity and a fully featured dynamic personality. You will be able to enjoy life like never before. Your experience then is that there is no one else like you in this amazing world of ours, yet you are one with all of it. You could say you get to have your cake and eat it, too.' Once you know it, you will never want to live any other way. You are now more human than ever before, not less. To be truly human is beautiful.' This is true Non-Dual freedom. Investigate & find that the separate self doesn't exist, investigate and find out who & what you truly are. Investigate and allow the natural happiness & peace that is all of us to blossom. For the Sage duality is no longer a problem, personalities are no longer a problem, thoughts & feelings are no longer a problem. THIS IS IT. It's all the Self, including your personality & humanity, allow it to blossom, become authentic, stop playing the role of the Separate Self, find out what is true and let it flower. Then go celebrate, express & live this understanding in all realms of your experience. The flowering of the teaching never ends, the seeking does. You will still have a personality post awakening, you will still have thoughts, you will still have feelings. None of this will be a problem for you anymore. But, most importantly you will have seen through the illusion of the separate self & will know your true being as natural pure awareness. You will still play as the character, but you will no longer identify as the character, for that is the grand mistake 99.9% of us make. -

LfcCharlie4 replied to Javfly33's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@Javfly33 No, how could it be 'difficult' when it is your natural state? It is much more difficult to identify yourself with a body / mind as that is unnatural. It's like you are living with a clenched fist, but you don't know it's clenched. Awakening stops the clenching & with it brings the relief and relaxation that comes with opening your hand. It's effortless. It seems difficult from the POV of a separate self, because you are struggling, inquire into the one who is trying to understand this conceptually. I know it seems very difficult, and this seems to be a necessary stage for most people,, only by understanding the truth of your being will you then realize how effortless it is! 'Effort' is relatively required to investigate & inquire into your experience, and to see through the illusory separate self. but it is very much effortless to live in your natural state of Peace & Happiness, quite simply because it is NATURAL! Just like someone who is 'naturally' beautiful, it doesn't take effort to maintain that does it? It is natural! Stop fighting with yourself, relax & allow the presence that you are to reveal yourself. And, when necessary or whenever a thought / feeling that is arising on behalf of a separate self arises, investigate it, question it & get to it's source, the more you investigate & understand your true nature, the more you will abide as that. I will say this though, Awakenings happen instantaneously, even that is saying too much. But Integration takes 'time' you have habits & behaviors you've been doing for years, if not decades. As Rupert Spira says, recognition of your true nature is maybe Chapter 2 in the book! Seeking ends, flowering never does! -
LfcCharlie4 replied to PurpleTree's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
Life is the true test of Spiritual maturity. And. when you truly understand meditation it is not something you 'do' for X amount of time per day, it is what you are. Even when you understand that you may still partake in 'formal meditation' but your growth and integration is not limited by time spent meditating. The true marker of spiritual growth is living the understanding in all areas of life, Rupert Spira calls this the 'outward facing path', anyone can be peaceful all alone in the Himalayas, but then bringing that peace & living it in normal life is the true test! See this as an opportunity to grow deeper than ever before. Spirituality cannot be compartmentalized in your life, True Spirituality is life. Of course, this doesn't mean not listening tp teachers, inquiring into your experience & abiding / meditating formally, it just means don't think formal sadhana is the only way to grow spiritually -
LfcCharlie4 replied to Shunyata's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
Everyone & every-thing & all substance is simply THIS, or consciousness. ”People in limited ego consciousness” are this too, they just aren’t conscious of it. it also isn’t binary, more of a spectrum, for example someone when playing music or sport may be in touch with their essence, but in “normal life” may still act like a separate self. -
LfcCharlie4 replied to Javfly33's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
Sounds more like a glimpse than an awakening if you’re going back to “your old state” -
LfcCharlie4 replied to Adamq8's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
I'm confused, does anyone here disagree with him? I get his style may not resonate, but all he is talking about is going full circle and eventually having to drop all concepts & trips & everything. A little like the Buddha's parable of the raft, once you reach the other shore you don't carry the boat around with you 24/7. I mean don't a lot of teachers say this exact thing? Francis, Rupert, Adya, Ramaji etc that it goes full circle, and then you know your true nature & fully blossom into your humanity, and then there is simply a celebration and expression of this understanding that IS ever deepening. The seeking ends, but the flowering never does. What are you guys disagreeing with him on, to me it just sounds like he's describing the 10th Ox picture, but also saying you can't just skip the other 9. -
@Blackhawk That's the thing you don't get (as you never looked into any of the resources I sent) you don't need to abandon 'electronical stuff' you just need to take preventative measures that are pretty basic really & become habits. Not putting your phone up to your head, or in your pocket (unless on Aeroplane mode), turning WiFi and electrics off at night, wearing blue light glasses at night, wearing air tube headphoes etc etc, there's so many little things we can do, it doesn't have to transform your life, that's the thing. Personally, I noticed improvements in sleep just by doing this & by sleeping grounded, but I'm all about optimizing health & living a long, healthy life, so am always looking for ways to optimize. And, I look forward to speaking in 20-25 years, especially as wireless tech gets stronger & tech use drastically rises in Children, I think we are going to have a lot of changes have to happen.
-
@Blackhawk Okay, the book contains plenty of studies, why not just read that and then make a decision for yourself? If you don’t want to protect yourself, that’s up to you, personally, I do.

https://www.amazon.com/1000-Consciousness-Awakening-Spiritual-Teachers-ebook/dp/B00JK2Y7HG/ref=sr_1_1?dchild=1&keywords=1000+by+Ramaji&qid=1607005032&s=books&sr=1-1 Hate incoming in 3, 2, 1............................ I'm only joking, well I'm not actually it probably is in my top 10 Non-Duality books (3/10 are taken up by Ramaji / Ananda, how bias of me) but it is just a model, although a useful one for understanding why what Tony Parsons (example) says is slightly different to what Rupert Spira says. But, what Leo said, you gain intuition for it. Like I recently stumbled upon Miranda Macpherson, and just instantly resonated with her feminine approach to non-dual realization & integration. For whatever reason I'm biased towards female / feminine teachers, I think that suggests I need(ed) extra help with those parts of the teaching- Vulnerability, expressing emotions, Love etc. Also, it doesn't really matter what anyone else says, when you find a teacher you resonate with, stick with them & ideally work with them until you no longer need to. Some people only have 1 teacher, some have several and very rare (so unlikely anybody here) have spontaneous full awakenings, but even then, they often require guidance on the integration. Here's a dirty secret from the Non-Dual world, Integration takes time (oh no, I used the word time in Advaita!!!!) and is an ever ongoing process. Seeking ends, the flowering never does. TLDR- Find a teacher you resonate with & work as closely as you can with them. Ideally 1-1 or via retreats. Often books & videos are far from enough. -
LfcCharlie4 replied to UnbornTao's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@Arzola My initiation that spearheaded me to take the path seriously was several MDMA experiences, I've also tried LSD a few times after several 'Awakenings', they were fun but didn't really get much from them in terms of spiritual growth, I probably did something wrong! I just mean people like Martin Ball, energy issues, psychological issues, essentially frying your brain & energy. And, especially since I am under 25, I take great caution using any substance excessively due to brain development not being 'completed' until at least 25. I also just have little desire / reason to try them right now, maybe it's just not for me! It's not the same, but I'm a huge fan of naturally being 'high' 24/7, just feeling good by existing. Eating well, exercising, doing work you enjoy, great friendships and most importantly, awakening & abidance as one's true nature. If I'm honest with you, I used to LOVE smoking weed, drinking, partying & raving a little too much a few years ago, and I realized I was attempting to fill that lack with those things. Now, I have no 'need' to indulge in these things, and the funniest part is when I do drink or party now, I enjoy it 100x more without any guilt & it comes from a place of celebration. But, we're always growing until we die, maybe I'll need some more MDMA to overcome relationship difficulties in the future, or some LSD to help with X, Y, Z that studies show it does. Never say never, just have no need, desire, or curiosity right now, and I'm not one for forcing things,
