True, to a point. Were always making judgements, even in the now. The problem arises is when we make judgements in order to uphold a sense of self . That's the ego. You can be perfectly in the now and be at one with all judgement, and that is because in that position no judgement really matters because from that place judgement doesn't harm you or others

He's already there now. Nothing else required but to observe the tendency to try to escape his awesomeness ☺️

Thanks for the recommendation. On first glance at his YouTube channel he leaves me with the impression that he's a bit of a cheese monger. ? But of course I don't really know what he's all about until I think about some of his claims. Certainly no harm in spending a few minutes on his channel.

@Michael569 I've never heard of a vegan with iron overload problems. If anything the research indicates the opposite. That was the first question I had with @MartinMaggio statement There are more questions, but I'm still pondering those.

Thanks for the discussion I agree, not everyone is ready for such a simple realization. But that doesn't mean we shouldn't plant the seeds of it now. In time the seed will flower. It took me ten years between my first awakening experience until I was able to just appreciate the simplicity of the now and how powerful it is.

don't try this a home tho, eh? Please The internet is a wonderful thing, but it's also a place where imaginations are allowed to run wild

You can fix all of your self esteem problems by getting into the present moment. You can fix a lot of things by being present. A lot of delusions just go away.

Everybody is looking for enlightenment. Whether they are aware of it or not is another topic ?
-
@MartinMaggio Thats great. Many thanks ?

@Valach If you can become present, truly present, for just even ten minutes, a lot of these things tend to clear up by themselves, because it's your mind playing tricks in you because you haven't yet experienced for yourself that time is an illusion. So the "past" (which is where regret comes from) still seems real to you. Once you crack the present moment fully you just can't take any of this stuff seriously anymore. Once that initial identification is broken then its much easier not to get caught up in this stuff

Do you think swapping one kind of hypnosis for another is ultimately healthy?
-
@beatlemantis If you like to have a discussion about this you are welcome to message me. The need for validation is ultimately not real, and you will see this for yourself, and you will become free of it. But first you have to see, and to see you have to know a little bit about how the mind works and this information will set the wheels in motion to become free of the need for validation. You don't need therapies or counsellors or anything to overcome your need for validation. You don't have to delve into your past and you don't need any time to rid yourself of your needs for validation. I'm not promising you anything, but if you are able to understand a few key concepts then I don't see any reason why it wouldn't work for you

@ugreglo The women in your world sound horrible LOL

Nickyy replied to Schahin's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@Schahin Oneness is a feeling. Its not to be understood intellectually. Once you get that feeling proper, everything will fall into place. But asking people to give you the answers is somewhat of a waste of time because you will only interpret it according to your own conditioning. You need to stop interpreting and just be in the present moment fully, whole, complete, in your original state, and you will understand everything . -
@MartinMaggio Please post all you have. This is very interesting

Lmao Sorry, but life's too short. If you're not interested in optimal mental health or knowing what's true, why are you on a pd forum?
-
I wouldn't try that though, not without seeing some clinical trials

I think a better example of someone at orange with a fair bit of red in them is a Michelin star chef. Someone who can turn raw materials into income, can manage teams, but has a little bit of "look what I can do, aren't I a clever boy/girl?" ?
-
@Rasheed it doesn't have to be that strict not in my opinion anyway. Just eat some fruit and veg when you remember. About 5 a day, so have an apple a banana, a salad a side of vegetables and a vegetable juice. Or something like that.

I don't think there ARE bad guys. I think for people like Arthur there are indeed "bad guys" and that was how the film was framed. Lots of bad guys in a bad society who don't understand a mentally ill person. That's not reality, that's just the view of a mentally ill person.
-
I think if a person can't hold down a job in society then there is a problem. I don't think that someone at stage orange would have trouble holding down a job. That's just my opinion, you may have more insight, I don't know. But I just don't think that there is anything more to the film than it being a depiction of someone who has got mental health problems. Im in danger of repeating myself here, I haven't really got much more to add to the discussion. I just feel that I saw the film accurately as it was meant to be and I didn't project any extra meaning onto it. I'm satisfied with that.

A cup of vegetables is a serving, or a whole fruit, except maybe grapes and kiwis. Two kiwis is a portion and a large handful of grapes is a portion.
-
@Rasheed At least 5 portions per day. There is good reason for that recommendation too, but I can't remember what it is right now. But 5 a day is good - more than a lot of people get.

Your comment promoted me to remember another aspect of the film, it's got a little bit of Hollywood cheese in that everyone loves an underdog who kicks ass and gets his revenge. The writers set up the characters like this, the de Nero character obviously being the "bad guy" in Arthur's warped world. Maybe you and tenta identify with Arthur? A good film is designed to get you to identify with the "goodie". So job done
