  1. I'd like to see what information the community can gather regarding fasting/bretharianism.
  2. There is no point to dry fasting or being a bretharian as far as I can tell. Drewnows says it can make you "more spiritual"
  3. At the time when orange emerged it was considered the cutting edge for sure. Now it's not.
  4. @DrewNows I agree. Shaun is highly biased. But that doesn't stop me using his channel. I like to research holistically to get as comprehensive a view of a situation as possible. Thank you for the share
  5. An 18 hour fast is normal, man. Sometimes I eat at 6pm and I can't get hold of anything until lunchtime. It can be done. Every day? I'm not so sure. I think it's wise to listen to body signals telling you to eat and drink.
  6. You are pre diabetic? You can reverse it eating a wfpb diet. But you have to research it thoroughly and speak to your doctor. You can find a lot of studies online that support the diet reversing pre diabetes. I suggest you geek out on this channel and take a long time to consider it. I'm not telling you what to do here, I'm merely showing you a YouTube channel, what you decide to do from here on in is your responsibility.
  7. @Preety_India I don't think the problem lies in eating only fruit. There are two very healthy guys who run a website called Mastering Diabetes, who have been eating fruit for 15 years to control type 1 diabetes. I think the problem lies in the magical thinking of new age narcissism, which is rampant among the raw vegan community who try these things without integrating it with scientific fact. I've warned of the dangers of fasting and asserted that it must be done under medical supervision. This tragic story of this guy dying of organ failure while dry fasting should serve as a warning to all who are contemplating trying anything that comes out of this raw vegan health community.
  8. All kinds of scapegoating happens with this self deception programme too. A & B have an argument at work, and B gets sacked because A is favourite of the bosses, and is a "trusted" employee and "never" does anything wrong, so B gets all the blame even though A played a role in the conflict. Happens everywhere with every type of relationship.
  9. @Preety_India Maybe some in the raw vegan community will say that he was ready to "ascend" , and that's why he "died"?
  10. That's a very good question. I don't have the answer. I don't think many people would have the answer for that to be honest. I can only speculate on this one because this is something that, thankfully so far, I've never had to face. It depends on a number of factors. But I know one thing, if that's ever the case, it's going to be a real learning experience for the oerson. These problems bring so much deepening.
  11. Sounds like your parents were very abusive people. Blue (are you familiar with the spiral dynamics concept?) can be healthy or unhealthy. I don't think you abandoned anyone. The only person who can "abandon" another is someone who is responsible for another, like a parent or carer of a vulnerable person. We as adults don't get "abandoned" by others. We're free to do what we want.
  12. Because a lot of it doesn't work and is just a way to create income. It's the same with naturopathic "medicine". And it's becoming a lot more popular because it's a easy job, you can basically make any old shit up and people will follow it because we're wired to look upto people and follow them, so this is taken advantage of. Unless I see a pattern and can integrate two disciplines together then I don't touch it. I think the best thing we can do is learn to think for ourselves and keep our bullshit detectors on full throttle.
  13. @LfcCharlie4 Companies being made to pay their taxes is a good start. I paid more in individual tax last year than Facebook did! Tax havens need to be abolished and companies need to be registered in every country they operate in and made to contribute to the society they make a profit from. Saying that their contribution is enough because they are creating jobs is not good enough. Yes they are creating jobs, but its the people who are working 60 hours a week sometimes holding down 2-3 jobs who are making these businesses profit AND keeping the country afloat. There is nothing inherently wrong with capitalism, it just needs to be reformed to serve the system rather than pure profit. Orange needs to grow up rather than be abolished.
  14. How do you know that this is what they mean? It's multi-CULTRILISM that is proving to be a problem in some ways, not multi-racialism. One example is radical islam immigrating to orange / green countries like the UK and then expecting to have self rule That's the issue here. It's not that other races ruin a country, it's that the mean green meme are arguing that radical extremists are allowed to have their own way and be exempt from the laws governing a country. The states is a little more complex. So I made an example for the UK. Yellow would not allow red/blue extremists to self rule because they know that red/blue aren't developed enough to care about the health of the whole system. Green are only concerned that there groups are being marginalized and dont see any problem with their red/blue values, because to green all values are relative. Not so. Some values are clearly more conscious than others
  15. Innocent and wicked are a bit basic. No such thing, but I get your point.
  16. Violence in this context isn't good. It's only high level spirituality if the violence is acted out in order to save a life. For example you had to defend yourself against an intruder in the night.
  17. Hi, I think it's a bit of both, your parents were just being who they were (racism is common) and probably did feel concern for you as maybe they both saw some aggression in your ex boyfriend. It's very difficult to tell what your parents motivations were because we're hearing a second hand account. We're interpreting you, you are interpreting them. So it gets like a game of Chinese whispers. However, I totally understand your concern, sounds like you want to put this all to rest now. How do you feel about sitting down with both of them and having a conversation about it all?
  18. I'm having insane results with liposomal vitamin c and a liposomal vitamin b complex. Liposomal magnesium L-threonate (all from altrient UK - damned expensive but so worth it). And a vitamin d3 (4000 iu per day) Feel insanely good on this combination. Liposomal is seriously worth the money.
  19. @Cocolove Transcend and include wilber.
  20. @Arthur Stage green, the attempt to bring stage orange human rights to all cultures then all sentient beings has the downside of being so involved in animal rights that it forgets to present facts and offer differing opinions in order that people make up their own mind. Propaganda in the name of humanistic values. Not quite integral thinking, but on its way.
  21. It's ok. This thread might help others who are also in the same boat. Once a thread is started then lots of people can benefit from it. But aside from that, you are right, it's best to work with people who you're comfortable with whos style of personality doesn't rub you up the wrong way. However that can sometimes be a good thing as it can bring problems to the surface to later on look at when one is ready to. Cheers
  22. Possibly. But it wouldnt cause you pain to have information that is wrong for you. An adult can sort the wheat from the chaff without resorting to violence and rudeness or mind games and denial A healthy adult just takes what is useful and leaves what is not. Politely. With no need for drama. So that's why I'm convinced that life purpose is not for you, but therapy might be better suited to your needs at this point.
