I agree that changing diet works. I posted a link to a YouTube site called "Mastering Diabetes" who are two guys, one with a PhD, who eat nothing but raw fruits. They take in between 500-700 grams of carbohydrates per day and need hardly any insulin. So there is no doubt that fruit (enough fruit) works . I have no qualifications in allopathic medicine. The point I'm labouring is that people who create straw man arguments against the medical system using obvious faulty medical knowledge while selling supplements are quacks. People who show science and who are genuinely trying to help others and sell no supplements (like mastering diabetes) are scientists or genuine health coaches. There is no good reason to use herbs at £1000 a pop to support the kidneys during filtration of the lymphatic system, because the reality is the lymph system doesn't drain it's waste products via the kindneys. That's not hidden knowledge , it's medical fact that anyone can look up for themselves. My actual argument is that even though there may well be unknowns in food and there is a difference between cooked food and raw foods, the point is in order to be authentic people must adopt a rational position and present actual science rather than an opinion or some pseudo science theory that is made up on the fly. I just think it's just more genuine all round to not make statements of fact unless you have adequate evidence. You're right, allopathic medicine can make people worse, especially medications. But allopathic medicine is not entirely science based, it lags behind the latest research, there are lots of problems with it, it's riddled with politics and needs a good kick up the backside. But people need accurate information on how to go about tackling disease, not cult like dogmatism

@Mikael89 Honestly you don't sound like a bad guy. You just sound like you're pissed at the constraints put on you by life The rules of the game, as it were. It's part of masculinity to want freedom from boundaries. But you can look for that freedom in the wrong place, by resisting life and trying to hide away. As a spiritual practice you can find freedom from constraint not by finding freedom from life, but by releasing identification and identifying as the boundless witness. The observer. The true self, not the mind made self. That's really the freedom you're looking for. When you discover that freedom you have no reason to reject male female dynamics in the relative world. You can embrace it all as it is and still be free. That's how true aloha males are. And the more shit tests you get along the way the more you grow. You want shit tests if you want spiritual freedom.

@Mikael89 Let me give you a tip on how it works. If you can learn to give a women what she needs, she will return the favour 5 fold. She doesnt want someone who's needless, she just doesnt want an emotional vampire. To love and be loved. That's all women really want.
-
This forum is a goldmine for understanding women. I think if you listened, genuinely listen, you would learn so much from the women here. Simultaneously by really listening you would dramatically increase how attractive you are to a woman. They are simple creatures who only want to connect with people. It's not difficult. It's difficult if you programme yourself with all the dating BS out there on the internet.

@Cocolove Healthy green and unhealthy green are the same thing. A values meme is healthy when it emerges and becomes unhealthy when it stagnates, doesn't evolve , like I think what happened in the UK in my example below. @Leo Gura One of the problems of stagnating at green is that it can cause a regression. For example look at the relationship between the European Union and the British National Health Service. The NHS was set up post world war 2 as a system that was designed to give UK residents and tax payers free healthcare that was funded by national insurance contributions. However as green ideology became more saturated in the UK via influence from Europe and the European Union, and as the green value of allowing free movement of people across Europe, effectively treating each country as part of one European super continent, we started to adopt the notion that everyone in the world should have access to the UK national health service, and doing so this eventually destroyed NHS, simply because anyone can use the service but may not be necessarily contributing anything to the UK government. The NHS was never free, it was a healthy orange system that had an inter-dependent relationship with the economy. Taxpayers This is an example of how a green ideal has caused regression in a otherwise healthy system that would have been sustainable had green not got it's way by forcing the economy to work on its principles. Now the NHS is going to be dismantled which will pave the way for unhealthy orange to deprive the country and its residents of free healthcare while making massive profits. Healthy orange taken over by green which then pushed the whole thing towards unhealthy corporate capitalism @Tanz Yeah, but wasn't Chomsky at the leading edge of yellow? Bernie is part of the emerging yellow, I think more visionary and passionate at the forefront of a values meme and more mundane and practical as it emerges collectively (as in Bernie's case) ?

Sorry, but I don't understand what point you're making. Too much oxylate, regardless of what diet you're on, coupled with low intake of calcium can raise risk of kidney stone formation in some people. So the idea is to get more calcium in your diet if you're vegan and probably stop drinking smoothies that are high in oxalic acid. https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/24393738

Ok, care to provide some context?
-
@Leo Gura I don't think Bernie is green, his outlook is yellow. I just watched a quick clip of him speaking on Joe Rogan about adopting Canadian healthcare etc and he's not really demonizing big industry, but merely pointing out the pathological bits of capitalism that are proving themselves to be a problem for the whole system. Green is not really like that, green would dish out everything equally because it demonizes any form of hierarchy altogether. Bernie seems a lot more mature at taking the healthier sentiments of green and putting them into action to serve smaller systems that serve larger systems that serve the whole system.

Desperate people are unbearable, but the experience can be a good lesson as you get to see and sense directly how the ego creates a living nightmare for itself and others.

@Mikael89 You might benefit from looking up reticular activating system or self fulfilling prophecy. Understanding both of these concepts have made my life a lot more enjoyable ? (Sorry about the tag leo, quoted you by accident and couldn't erase it)

Nickyy replied to WHO IS's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
Pain is real, but total misery is a function of attitude. I have lived in chronic pain and I agree that it's not nice, but I learned that it's the mind creating stories around it that causes suffering, not pain itself. -
Nickyy replied to WHO IS's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@WHO IS Total misery is not is consequence of external circumstances, but rather a product of perception. -
@Mu_ Can I ask you if you're taking psychedelics?

To be honest I've never heard of this or read about this from any spiritual book I've read. Identification is about believing that your identity is in the seemingly concrete but phantom ever changing flow of thought. Awakening or non dual realization (making it real in your experience) is the direct realization that you are not those thoughts, that those thoughts, that self, past and future are just objects arising and falling in the ever present, non dual, limitless, non conceptual awareness that is the present moment. To say that the objects and the present moment are one is something I've never come across. The objects and the present moment are not one, because one is timeless and one is every changing. It's very obvious that movement and stillness are not one. They are both different. And that's why realization is liberating. You are no longer bound by the mind. The mind happens IN you, not AS you. To say that movement and stillness are one is a belief. It's taking the concept of oneness and extending it to absurd depths. To say there is no separation between the timeless and the objects requires belief rather than mere observation of what really is

@DrewNows What stories have you heard about "healing"? Addicted to ignorance posted several videos pointing out the unreliable nature of testimonials. I myself even left comments of my own healing journey on one of this channels, a completely fabricated story of healing myself from cancer via doctor Morse's methods , and I got many replies. ? How do you know if these people are interpreting their experience accurately? Diseases can go into remission naturally. People may have had conventional treatment and then accredited their results to their diet and an alternative method that they used. Some people may have felt better for a while, wrote a comment or left a testimonial, but because we don't have any way of following them up we don't know if they made it or not. That's why we have the scientific method, so that we can know for sure what caused the remission and rule out any confounding variables. None of that is used in alternative medicine, so to just believe a story on the internet is saying "I haven't passed through orange yet - and I'm deceiving myself and you that Im more developed ".
-
You're not really answering my questions. You're giving me your opinion. You're not using orange level skills that are expected of you. In a discussion about health especially making statements of fact need to be backed by logic and evidence. This is common practice if you want to be taken seriously. Merely saying things like "listen via the body" means nothing. People want to know how you formed your conclusions. We're your conclusions formed from thorough understanding of facts or were they formed by believing an opinion? What are your reasons for adopting an almost word for word belief system to Morse's teachings?
-
Tell me, how did you come to understand all the information about the lymphatic system and other medical information you have shared in this discussion? So what if Ehret was also a quack? Did you take the time to fact check Erhet? What makes Erhet so special ?
-
Have you spoken to anyone who has "cured" themselves? If so, how did you establish that their disease was cured by Robert Morse or John Rose?
-
You stated clearly here that Addicted To Ignorance may feel "threatened", and you make a suggestion to consider the "agenda" of anyone creating a critique video. So what is his agenda? You mentioned an agenda, so it's upto you to tell us what you think the agenda is, and uncover it, otherwise what you're saying just sounds, well, a little manipulative. You're attmempting to present to us a viewpoint, but have no reasonable grounds for it. So that is actually a tactic of persuasion and something Morse and Rose have done on numerous occasions and we know this because they have been caught lying on their videos. If you want to be taken seriously then you do indeed have to provide facts supporting your statements. Otherwise you're just wasting your time here. This is not an ego game, it's how facts are established.

There is only one teaching. Watch yourself seek. That's it. Bottom line.. You can have all the maps in the world, but if you don't actually just take time to observe yourself in action, it's all pointless -
Nickyy replied to LfcCharlie4's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
Is that your direct experience? -
Nickyy replied to LfcCharlie4's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
So what about spiral dynamics. Based in one man's research. But spiral dynamics is like the Bible round here . But it has it's flaws -
Neediness isn't real. People are only needy when they are fixated on the future. If you can learn to live in the present, as the present rather than identified with thought, you will see neediness is just a thought.

Nickyy replied to LfcCharlie4's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
Yeah, but people don't know that, so you can measure their level of wakefulness, if you like? But I don't think you have to actually really learn any of these mind strategies in order to be in the now. My theory about spiral dynamics is that green is not a stage above orange, but green is actually oranges sibling. They are both the same level, are different branches of the same level. And that prolly explains why they hate each other so much lol Green is some sort of philosophical genetic dead end. Like some random mutation that took logical thinking too far into cloud cookoo land
