Of course. As far as we can tell there is no history of 5meo use and it’s not part of Buddhist internal science. That’s all. Even Buddhist Qigong has limitations compared to Taoist Qigong. Though, it also has differences which make it worthwhile to practice too. Psychedelics are outside of Buddhist framing. There are many tools in spiritual tool box if you wish to use them. By using them you can begin to have awakenings that those who don’t use your tools are completely ignorant too. My example of Buddha shitting his pants was a joke to show that Buddha likely lacked certain technology to access certain states. Such as Salvia for example. These states are challenging. State is very important for going beyond logic to have realizations and awakenings. Of course there are many ways to change state. 5Meodmt is simply a very powerful and direct route. And it’s use is rather modern as it was only discovered like 40 years ago. No one is claiming we are the only ones to use it. We are not dumb. But, we note it is something that provides insight outside traditional Buddhist framing. nnDMT, LSD and even mushrooms provide spiritual experiences which exist outside Buddhist practice. So, I suggest a mature approach. -

I know I have often posted in a way to show my pain around the loss of civilian life. But, remember it will take me time to see the whole situation. Please do not see me as against Israel defending itself. This situation is complicated and I am but a child. -

I learned it was created largely with support of Britain who controlled Palestine after world war 1 or 2? No Muslim nation could even imagine how well educated and connected these Israeli are. Israel will exist, it will not be defeated and it will win. No matter how much people may cry for “social justice”. They would cry the same if Hamas was able to do what it wants to Israel. It’s just a brutal truth that this conflict is ugly. -

Thank you for sharing. I think Leo maybe wrong about these “religious nutcases”. Let me know if I am wrong. Zionist, Israeli Jews and their supporters want Israel is exist, for Jews to have their own country, and to be safe. But, they unfortunately have enemies which neighbour them which is an existential threat to the project of creating a safe and flourishing country and homeland for Israeli people, who are good decent Modern and educated people, am correct? Therefore US support, the destruction of Hamas, and even the unfortunate loss of civilian life is worth it for the good of civilized and peaceful modern existence of Israel and its allies. -

It’s more nuanced than that. There is in reality no “good guy bad guy” as each nation has its own element of level of development, level of selfishness. No one is saying what you say here. The good guy, really depends on who you are and who you align with for your survival. -

I study Buddhism. It’s just not the only frame. Nor does it hold the truth that reality and no mind is kingpin of spirituality. I personally love Buddhism and Taoism. I study them both, currently reading a book which heavily discusses the Diamond Sutra, and even another book on the Heart of the Buddhas Teaching. I also teach Taoist and Buddhist Qigong. But, when you see Buddha standing in the middle of the road, kill him. It’s not the only frame, it’s not the highest frame. The majority of Buddhist teaching is actual very practical advice on healing and living well. It’s one of the best sources of wisdom out there. But, it doesn’t hold the tools for the deepest awakenings, the deepest and most profound intelligence, etc It’s also rude to ascribe a low conscious intent to “feel better about yourself” when people may be actually pointing to something when saying that not all spirituality is Buddhism, not all awakening and enlightenment is Buddhamind or nothing of Nagarjuna. There are many different spiritual frames which the mind clings to. But, a frame is a thing. Not nothing like you say. There are states of consciousness and realization that would make the Buddha shit himself. -

@Someone here I mean no offense. Stay well! It might as well be horseshit until you actually awaken. I hope when you awaken you’ll go “Horseshit!!! I get it!” -

Consciousness might as well be nothing. Sure, But it's not nothing, paradoxically. It's One. It's Infinity. Infinity is not nothing, It's really just itself. -

@Someone here ? That made no sense to me Recontextualized physical reality (aka Consciousness) We clearly are on a different page. Which, is normal. When I say consciousness I am saying a complete opposite of Physical reality. Gonna go play guitar and sing. Peace! -

@Osaid Consciousness. Pure Being. Now. You could say it's nothing. But, You could say it's something. You could be wrong, you could be right. You Are. -

@Someone here Yeah? Well, look at your hands. Look at the room around you. You're just ignoring what is obvious. Consciousness. Ironically, labelling actuality "Nothingness" -

(I may have misunderstood you lol) We are not denying Creation, but you are not grasping the paradoxical nature of Creation which I for one, point too. The paradox is profound. Leo explains it better than I.. Something like God had to create itself before it existed. Because, even non-existence and before God was always actually a part of God. God created itself with literally nothing. God had to create itself before it existed. God Created itself. This stupid buddhist framing of "Nothing".. Yeah, thats nice but it's just a facet. Pointing to nothingness I think it important. But, when you look at your hands and the room you are in, which is this. Which is something, i guess you could say... The actual qualia and subjective experience you have is God. It's not nothing. It's God. God is a shape shifter. Compared to an object it's nothing because it has no finite qualities, except paradoxically when it does. So, you could say reality is nothing, but nothing is paradoxically something. -

@Ishanga No, forget particles and big bangs. That's all back story. It's really just consciousness. It's not nothing. It's just consciousness and God. All this other stuff like "It's nothing" or "It's particals and big bangs, and then people and then this" is all back story and dream stuff.
