@Leo Gura That’s not it. Leo, what you teach is so far removed from 99% of the new age spirituality that people are into to. The problem is far deeper than spirituality. The real problem is not understanding how the mind works, how politics works. People don’t self reflect. -

@strika Right off the start the video dives into a conspiracy theory surrounding the shooting. The shooter was a mentally ill young person. It wasn’t a “they” conspiring haha -
No one knows how it will react with them. Ive had some sketchy moments when gone too deep. But, physically for most people I think it’s pretty safe. It’s always a risk though.

Yeah I mean, Jordan has some good basic personal development tips, and ideas. But, he isn’t anything special. I really think most humans are not all that intelligent. I include myself in this.
-
Why do seemingly intelligent people make fall into this. I mean, how… Trump ran a scam called Trump University years ago. The guy spread distrust and denied the results of the last election… tried to overthrow the government…

I’ve reached a point where with politics I can’t even say anything… it’s too complicated. I am not an expert but I know I know little. To discuss politics is often to engage in conflict with others due to the nature of it at this stage of human development. To discuss these subjects on this forum adequately requires a lot of maturity, self reflection, education, etc. Some people on the forum are rooted to a certain position or perspective whether they realize it or not. These people can’t have conversations openly because of they did that part of them they cling to would die. Lot’s of us are simply to immature to gain deep understanding if these political issues. It’s also unclear to me what conscious communication of these issues should look like in practice given the reality that we find ourselves in. Each person comes to the forum with a unique database of information sources, survival concerns, biases, maturity, levels of wholeness and development…. So, we end up with conflict. Im not sure -

I really think that AI like ChatGPT should be used as a tool for self education. Using in combination with life long learning it becomes an invaluable resource for asking powerful questions, clarifying points made in books and documents, etc. For example, it can be used as a contemplation tool when building larger and more intricate mental models. Building mental models takes prolonged time and focus. Being able to ask questions to the AI allows for clarification, and a deeper synthesis as it can also act as a holding place for a mind which may drop or wander. It helps avoid tangents when you use orienting prompts when also including the questions that arise. This morning I am studying the liver meridian and asking questions about its relationship to Qigong techniques I have learned through Holden Qigong. I am looking to ever deepen my understanding of the energetic system. I want to master Qigong theoretically and experientially so I can create more powerful routines, workshops and courses.

I used to think this, but now I don’t think legalization is the answer. Specifically hard and addictive drugs -

@Viking Fox or, perhaps structure it for a reader. I couldn’t really figure out what you meant and lost interest to be honest. -
I think my ability to think is actually far more powerful than I realize. My greatest limiting factor has been my survival concerns. I think as I solve them I can do some very deep contemplation. My mind has been unlocking some interesting types of logic that is sprawling and integrative.

I have a large Egocentric Bias in social relationships that is highly based on wrong assumptions and guesses. I suspect this is due to being alone to often in my life. I benefit from more social relating.

You know what? Here is all 20 from chat gpt: Certainly! Here are 20 types of cognitive errors: Confirmation Bias: The tendency to search for, interpret, and remember information in a way that confirms one's preconceptions. Anchoring: Relying too heavily on the first piece of information encountered (the "anchor") when making decisions. Availability Heuristic: Estimating the likelihood of events based on their availability in memory; events that come to mind more easily are presumed to be more common. Overconfidence Effect: The tendency to overestimate one's own abilities or the accuracy of one's beliefs. Hindsight Bias: The tendency to see events as having been predictable after they have already occurred. Representativeness Heuristic: Assessing the probability of an event based on how similar it is to the typical case, rather than on actual statistical probability. Self-Serving Bias: Attributing positive events to one's own character but attributing negative events to external factors. Fundamental Attribution Error: Overemphasizing personal characteristics and ignoring situational factors when judging others' behavior. Framing Effect: Drawing different conclusions from the same information, depending on how it is presented. Sunk Cost Fallacy: Continuing a behavior or endeavor due to previously invested resources (time, money, effort) rather than current benefits. Negativity Bias: Giving more weight to negative experiences or information than positive. Bandwagon Effect: The tendency to adopt beliefs, ideas, or behaviors because others are doing so. Cognitive Dissonance: The discomfort experienced when holding two or more conflicting cognitions, leading to attempts to reduce the inconsistency. Illusory Correlation: Perceiving a relationship between variables (typically people, events, or behaviors) even when no such relationship exists. Halo Effect: The tendency for an impression created in one area to influence opinion in another area. Gambler's Fallacy: The belief that future probabilities are altered by past events, when in reality they are independent. Base Rate Fallacy: Ignoring general information (base rates) and focusing on specific information. Projection Bias: Assuming that others share the same beliefs, values, or experiences as oneself. Egocentric Bias: Overestimating the extent to which one's own actions or experiences are noticed or considered by others. False Consensus Effect: The tendency to overestimate how much others agree with our own beliefs, values, or behaviors. Understanding these cognitive errors can help in developing strategies to mitigate their effects, leading to more rational and objective decision-making. 4o ChatGPT can make mistakes. Fundamental Attribution Error: Overemphasizing personal characteristics and ignoring situational factors when judging others' behavior. - Chatgpt prompt Also, a tricky one when you break it down and integrate it into a larger web. This is a huge error! I was reading through the list of cognitive errors and I thought this was an interesting one to share.
