Thought Art replied to Thought Art's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
So, I am still going to study this in more detail. Apparently Qigong is within Falun Dafa, but Falun Dafa has a lot of dogma attached to it. -

@SirVladimir Awh, how sweet!

People can't read your mind and your post is almost incoherent, it puts down people on the forum in a generalized way despite not knowing those people. You aren't in anyway superior to anyone one the forum and your arguments don't add up to MY direct experience anyway. If you take some poisions you will die. There is a difference between the actuality of you drinking poison and the idea of drinking poision. What are you talking about soft? People aren't stupid. Doing unhealthy things is going to lead to poor health. Smoking cigarettes, eating poison is not something you would do if you were ACTUALLY using your mind to improve you life. Man, wake up.

Hey, do some self reflecting. Low quality post. You aren't making high quality distinctions. If you eat poorly, or drink poison the body will get ill and die. The mind is powerful, but be sure to make high quality distinctions. When watching Leo, make sure you aren't making grand assumptions. When people on the forum, like a mod take down your post take time to self reflect. Don't freak out, that is low quality consciousness. Realize that, accept the not knowing and keep going. I believe in you.

@The Buddha Him? I don't trust him. The Avatar? I will do more research. The most enlightened person? The most enlightened qualities? Well, I honestly haven't spent time with any 'enlightened Gurus'. Just listened to a lot of them. There are different qualities. Leo is up there in his videos, plenty of people are up there in their own way. I would like to meet and spend more time with masters.

I am interested in peoples experiences with Crystals for healing and maintaining good vibes in a place. I don't know whether these healing crystals are placebo or the real deal. But, there is something about them. I have some in my place and I will update people on what takes place. Either way, they looks nice and are fun to have around.

@Rilles Yeah, I find certain types to be soothing. But, it's not clear what they are. -

@Rilles What did you try? -
Talking about e-ink tablets, journaling exercises and techniques and my own inner work journey. Still in early phase. https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC6r9IOD0EaHOR8_Qg_95jbQ

Yeah, I do because I want to be authentic and I enjoy it as subject. Thought, people do disagree with me. Risk rejection.

@Vision Not synonymous but related. Karma Yoga likely goes beyond your life purpose.

What are peoples opinions on Evernote? I have been using that, and my reMarkable as my commonplace book. I like use my reMarkable for its distraction free design tbh. However, I think my note taking system can be upgraded. I find it helps me get into a deeper note taking while reading books and kindle. I will compare it to onenote this week.

Karma Yoga is an aspect of enlightenment. However, you want to get all the kinds of yoga together to really become enlightened. You even want to go beyond Yoga. Life Purpose is not the same as enlightenment, but can be an aspect of your path. Life purpose is the creation of meaning, where enlightenment is... though multifaceted it is waking up to the truth of what you are. I think both are connected.

Sounds like you are asking the right questions. You will have to figure out what works best for you! There are also subfields in self help that help you learn to design your own life long learning plans. Personally, I find myself reading multiple books at once. I review as I go, and when I finish the book I review my notes, book highlights and answer what I learned from it. Polymath: https://www.amazon.ca/Learn-Like-Polymath-Multidisciplinary-Irreplaceable-ebook/dp/B08JKPHMX7/ref=sr_1_4?dchild=1&keywords=polymath&qid=1610544944&sr=8-4 gives a good outline for creating your own learning plan, breaking things into modules and how to take great notes

@abrakamowse I agree.

Important to remember that the people who rioted at the capital did so out of love, given the education they have had from: News, social media, memes, videos etc.... They actually thought what they were doing was for the good, for truth.... They love their country, and don't know where the lies start and end.... the lies in the US are so omnipresent people are lost in an Ocean of Noise.... not to mention peoples already tendency for self deception, devilry etc... Idk, I feel embarrassed when I make much smaller mistakes in my life. How is the US going to find a common ground? There are far more factors at play than meets the eye. You can't have a democracy with a population who only watch what makes them feel good. This combined with Corona, jobs loss, etc... It's madness! What is a hero in an ocean of noise? but a criminal in someones eyes?? and vice versa.. The intellectual infrastructure of a nation is crucial, and in the states it has been eroding for years. How does a country build on devilry transition into a modern world? Messily. To all my American brothers and sisters I am wishing you a safe ride through this.

What is happening in the states I think goes well beyond MAGA and more about what is the fucking truth? People are gonna do what they think is right. What are they looking at? So many things JP (not jordan peterson but Awaken with JP) does in this to me seem immoral in how he stretches truth... Truth is complicated AF.

@Leo Gura I see your point. However, I am thinking Jordan has publicly denounced that he sides with Nazi. I imagine he would take offence that someone claims he sides with Nazis given his background and study. He even claimed that they didn't like his ideas. He also claims to be against the ideologies that lead to Nazism. I do know he has made open comments about the extreme left, and not about the right. I would be mindful of saying he 'sided with neo-nazis'... I don't think he has done this, at least not intentionally. I agree he is not the intellectual people portray him as. I will keep an open mind. Jordan Peterson was been a tough person to understand. I think he has cognitive dissonance for sure. But, also his own perspective that has at least kernels of truth. Should he be denounced? I will let that sit for awhile and think about it. He is not someone I hold as the standard of intellect I spend my time listening to, other than to understand him as a phenomen. I want to see him and his situation more clearly. Is he to blame for it partially? Well, perhaps I can see your point there. But, having dissonance and not seeing the wider implications of what you are saying, is that the same as siding with?

@Mips Do your research, be mindful and when you do do it, commit to it with an open mind.
