Hello Self Actualizers. Hoping your journey is going well, new discoveries are being made and you are one track with find/ actualizing on your life purpose. I have been practicing Qigong for few months now and I am finding it an incredibly powerful practice. Chi, is a real thing and the practice is shattering my paradigms on energy work and the potential for energy healing. The practice is holistic and practical. I practice under Lee Holden https://www.holdenqigong.com/ I am going to become a licensed teacher in the next year or two. There is so much too it, and so far its been an amazing addition to my yoga practice. I recently discovered Falun Gong, which is apparently a branching of Qigong with a moral philosophy. I am wondering if anyone has practiced it and has any story to share. All I know about Falun Gong is that it was created rather recently, part of an evolution of Qigong I believe. 40 years old. I also know that the Chinese government has been harvesting their organs since 1999, and arresting these practitioners and putting them in jails and re-education camps. Supposedly this was outlawed in 2015, but not clear if it is being enforced. Here is a book on Falun Gong if you are interested in learning more. https://www.amazon.ca/Falun-Gong-Li-Hongzhi/dp/1586131001/ref=sr_1_3?dchild=1&keywords=falun+gong&qid=1611008658&sr=8-3 Claims it is a cult. Not convinced will keep researching. I think there are Gems here from this practice. I don't think is guy talking about it is giving it a fair view, he isn't spiritual inclined or developed and has no understanding of the practicality of Chinese medicine. Staying open minded. This video sells it really well. Looks a lot like Qigong. Video Claims they are alt-right supporters. This could be a cultural disconnect. I am hoping there is gold here. I am trying to create an integral practice of Qigong, Kriya, Kundalini, Soma and various tantric techniques. Honestly, I think Qigong is really important for enlightenment. Far more than just sitting meditation.

I don't understand what you are saying or asking or what you want to do with it or why?

Thought Art replied to Leo Gura's topic in Society, Politics, Government, Environment, Current Events Yeah it is that way. It's low conscious behaviour... Calling it a 'Karen' is unfortunate. But, they exist as a social archetype I think. There are social archetypes that I think exist throughout society and we recognize these things. I don't think people are as unique as they think there are and in a given culture patterns arise. I don't really like laballing Karen, Laqueesha, or generic asian women and teasing and making fun of people the way people do on social media... filming these people to join in on the hating, laughing teasing. Yet, seeing a Karen harass a skateboarder or something is interesting. Part of my thinks the Karen thing is funny and I get it. Though, it's unfortunate. I am interesting in language that helps us understand and get to know people instead of judging them.

See, I am still getting used to the model but.. You can be at stage orange and still have stage red attitude operating at orange. I think.

Thought Art replied to Ya know's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God Consciousness is it's own pre-requisite. The idea of a pre-requisite is dualistic. The word consciousness is loaded. Consciousness isn't something that the brain does, but what does the brain and all of reality. It's all there is. Consciousness is infinity.

@Roy It's interesting, she has an interesting network of symbols and biases and reactions. She doesn't understand that you can be spiritual and still see aspects of human behaviour, that are 'negative' like being 'dishonest' on a quiz. You can see it with love. There are studies that show that humans do in fact not see themselves clearly, and it's a pretty widespread happening in society. She doesn't understand that this is human nature imo. Notice, India when you feel combative with people. That may be your own negativity reflecting back to you. You see things how you are you know. I read in Robert Greenes - Laws of human nature that all people want three things: 1. To feel that they are autonomous 2. To feel that they are good people, basically 3. and that people want to feel that they are intelligent. People want these things, these in some way are the spiritual ideal. But, we are humans as spiritual as we are, or loving or inherently good... We aren't always aware of ourselves as we may one day be, and we often want to think well of ourselves and unconsciously we forget or stop seeing aspects of our negative behaviour. So, when it comes to these online personality tests they are always biased. This is why managers in companies usually get a 360 feed back done on their leader ship quality. This means that they fill our a questionnaire about their own opinion on their management and leader qualities. Also, the staff in the workplace will do questionnaires as well to get a deeper view of the managers abilities. This is because when we do self quizes we can't see ourselves through an unbiased lens. It's part of being an ego, which is fine. Not a judgement. These managers then receive feedback from their own questionnaire and the questionnaire of their staff get a more in depth view of how the managers actually are, and how they can actually improve.

Hey, relax. Be kind. She was talking about quizes and human bias not naming and shaming her friend. Maybe I am wrong, I don't know what Mandy is saying we have different operating systems. Side note to the thread: "I'll admit, I'm full of shit That's how I know I love you, That's how I know I trust you"
-
@Leo Gura My horns don't make it obvious?
-
Maybe God will have to fill it out for us. We need an unbiased oversight. I bet, in different moments, in different contexts I may act more selfish and manipulative than I realize. This part of the work for me. These types of quiz are fundamentally flawed to begin with. Filling in a questionnaire like this, if you know anything about humans ignorance and self bias tells you very little. All it really likely tells you is what people what you to think of them. It would be interesting to pair this with a quiz on peoples willingness to self reflect and face emotional labour and hard truths about themselves.

@Husseinisdoingfine Okay, but what was the score my man

Thought Art replied to Leo Gura's topic in Society, Politics, Government, Environment, Current Events @Rilles Yeah, me understanding people isn't like black or white. Like, I understand my current roommate is a bit lazy, selfish and forgetful. Yet, I am still laying down boundaries with compassion. I can understand you, love you and understand why you do what you do. But, if you are in my space or interacting with me I will assert myself. I am not nice. I am loving.

Primary: 1.5 - Higher than 19.6 % of people who took test Secondary 1.9 - Higher than 20.5% of people who took test I sense this tells me very little but was fun, I am pretty sure I am 100% not a psychopath. If anything, I am too empathetic or sympathetic. Also, selfish in certain contexts.

Thought Art replied to Vido's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God I really don't buy the Bashar thing, I can feel his ego oozing out I have channeled spirits before. So, even though I don't buy him in particular I don't doubt channeling is a possibility.

Thought Art replied to Leo Gura's topic in Society, Politics, Government, Environment, Current Events @Rilles Yeah, the old lady thought she was doing what was right. She didn't mean to attack, hurt or offend I don't think. I think she was protecting how she saw herself, ladies and the sacredness of church. Imo, she thought that because she was chubby, and the lady was chubby they were on common ground to have the conversation. She grew up in a time when women were told how to dress right for church. Yes, it is body shaming. But, I wouldn't hate and attack the old woman. She has her perspective of what is right and it's different from the young lady or most people here on the forum I think. Everybody is acting from the best of intentions considering their own perspective. It was an unfortunate mix up. I grew up with a grandmother who shamed me for many things like piercing my ears as a young man. People just see reality differently. I love my grandparents but, I tend to keep to myself these days. I can't take too much old people stage blue etc. Like me doing Qigong and my artistic pursuits I think confuse them. To my grandmother psychology is Dr. Phil. There's not much I can do. It's funny when I see her transference her Dr. Phil attitude.

Thought Art replied to Leo Gura's topic in Society, Politics, Government, Environment, Current Events Lol, reminds me of my grandmother. IMO, the old lady treated the women given her standards and morals that she imposes on herself. She was saying, dress like me to be polite and respectful. I don't agree with her, but I understand this old women's views. I understand as well and would like be just as offended as the young women was.

I think the purpose of this thread is to talk about and share links with regards to men and raising our awareness around consent and being better partners, and lover makers. I sense that a of men did not learn about consent as young people and I think it is a very important conversation. I personally think that it's important we take a hard look at ourselves and our abilities to control sexual energy and to make sex safe and enjoyable for everyone.

Thought Art replied to Lana Faye's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God Safety first, It's worth using light doses and pysches first. Do lots of research and try to fool proof it as much as possible. Once you trip as long you took proper protocol and precautions (which will be developed through tripping over time as you learn the realities of the substances which are different than you thought from listening to mixed opinions of others) just relax. 5meo is different for everyone I think. It's really not bad you don't need to take a huge hit. I don't recommend it early on, but also its pretty tame for the most part, thought extremely radical as you dissolve into infinite love.. AL-Lad is a good starter. Though, I have had one or two strange and unfortunate experiences/ reactions over my past two years that I would rather not have experienced and still don't fully understand. I think as I started to go DEEPER AND DEEPER I was unconsciously fighting it during the trips which results in walking around and holding onto others. Psychedelic headspace and trips is a deep area of mastery that I think can take a life time. There is not need to rush as their results are rather intense. I think the stronger you life foundation, metaphysics, epistemology, life maturity, less addiction based you are the better. Study deeply what you are getting yourself into. It's safe if done slowly and deliberately, with the right setting and intentions. It should be done seriously, with a journal log to take notes of your protocol. Safety, safety, safety.

Don't shit where you eat I don't recommend dating colleagues but using it as an opportunity to understand your sexual energy. This will be up to you to decide.
