Man, I am just getting warmed up -
Bad Epistemology has a massive price to pay. I see the mistakes I make in my own locus of responsibility, I couldn't imagine many people dying because of my ignorance. This is why I am grateful for Leo's teachings and my life long learning.

I think I use the term for inner alchemy, which is changing myself into Gold. Changing my inner condition and doing real growth. It's a pretty loaded word. Worth doing a search on Amazon to see what books come up. -

You contemplate these things because you trying to understand your bias mechanism. Because as long as we judge or hate aspects of reality it keeps up from infinite love. We can act on a bias for survival or practical reasons but we need not let bias lead to suffering or hatred.

@PurpleTree Yeah the book will make you really look at your shame. I would read it in combination with something lighter, but related.

@Johnny Galt Um, I trust the doctors and medical professionals. Also, don't be a dick. There isn't millions dying. I was overly dramatic and thinking more generally as world leaders. Canada has done a really good job at dealing with Covid. Of course there are risks with the vaccine. Take it. Alberta has by far the highest cases right now and the medical system is having a hard time dealing with it. -
Didn't Jesus say the same thing Eckart is saying to some degree? Why u do this christian ego I mean, I bible has been re-written and change many times is just so silly.

@Preety_India Don't be so sure Everything Is Connected! Psycho-cybernetic ahha Plus, there is a psychedelic culture in Silicon Valley. -
Sounds like a lack of self knowledge. This is the perfect place to be for the time being. Also sounds like a you are so empathetic that after ending up in some toxic relationship you may be emotionally guarded and exhausted. This happens when you are highly empathetic, but don't understand the nuances of self love, assertiveness and boundaries. You also have a lot of internal warring going on inside yourself. You clearly care about other people, you just don't know how to do it from a mature, conscious place. This is my basic opinion from what I read, and from my own personal experience. Listed some books you may like to take a look at. Books: Not Nice Pathways To Perfect Living Empath Survival Guide

I don't understand your thread title and comment. The more awakenings I've had the more I realize the importance of fixing up trauma and tension in the body. It's all connected. -
Working through truck loads of shame ahah Book called "Healing the Shame that Binds you" and more. Though that book is a tough read tbh. I am getting better. Maybe will make post later once I've made more sustained progress.

@Moksha Yeah, but knowing that doesn't mean you can't 'identify' with your career choice.

Tai chi/ Kung fu are not powerful compared to muay thai/ BJJ. But, they are useful for developing inner clarity and more nuanced set of movement. Sounds like your mind that need developing more than the ability to beat others up. I love doing Muay Thai and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu I have trained and won BJJ tournaments. Personally think BJJ is my fav martial art. I personally found combat sport to be spiritual. Just in a different context. Martial Arts are great for self esteem. Meditation, yoga, Qigong are part of developing a balanced mature mind as well. Martial Arts = Yang Restorative practice (Tai Chi, Qigong, Yoga, meditation) = Yin You likely wont train every single day, but 3 or 4 times a week max. Which means you have time for both things. Good to have both.
