  3. This is why understanding Paradox is important.
  4. I just wanted to say I don't know that guy, but seeing you use that kinda language upset me a bit.
  5. Interesting conversation. Yes, I realize it’s Tucker Carlson but he has been having some interesting conversations since he’s been solo. This is one of them. What is happening structurally in the American health care « sick care » system is so backwards. How can you run a democracy is everyone is chronically unhealthy?
  6. I really am not an expert. How can I become more informed, what are pre requisites of study to know how anything effects anything else in this complex system of Canada
  7. This is true I have seen in CBC. Cost of living is so bad many people are struggling.
  8. I should also state that most Canadians do recognize the importance and contribution of immigrants. We are a diverse country. But, we must also ask these questions as it’s our country and we want to keep it operating well. When people decide to demonize you over not being sure if immigration has negative effects that’s bad politics. We should be able to actually contemplate and figure things out without being demonized. If anything, we want to ensure we are carrying our Canadian values, one of which is immigration, in a balanced and responsible way. If it’s true there is magically no downside to immigration the cost of living, then I’d like to see the data. I’d like to see more data in general how immigration in Canada affects the country. I would like it unbiased. I asked Claude AI: Yes, immigration can potentially strain living infrastructure in various ways: 1. Housing pressure: Rapid population growth due to immigration can increase demand for housing, potentially leading to: - Rising rent and property prices - Housing shortages in popular areas - Increased urban density and potential overcrowding 2. Transportation systems: - More users on public transit, possibly causing overcrowding - Increased traffic congestion on roads - Greater demand for parking spaces 3. Healthcare services: - Longer wait times for medical appointments and procedures - Increased pressure on emergency services - Potential shortage of healthcare professionals 4. Education system: - Overcrowded classrooms - Need for more schools and teachers - Increased demand for language support services 5. Utilities and public services: - Greater strain on water supply and sewage systems - Increased energy consumption - More pressure on waste management systems 6. Social services: - Higher demand for settlement services - Increased need for language and job training programs - Potential strain on welfare systems, depending on immigrants' economic integration 7. Public spaces: - More use of parks, libraries, and community centers - Potential overcrowding in recreational areas It's important to note that while immigration can strain infrastructure in the short term, it can also bring long-term benefits. Immigrants often contribute to economic growth, pay taxes, and can help address labor shortages, potentially providing resources to improve infrastructure over time. The impact largely depends on the rate of immigration, existing infrastructure capacity, and government policies to manage growth. Would you like me to expand on any particular aspect of infrastructure strain?
  9. Actually, this is a popular and contentious issues in Canada right now. Immigrants, international student and a housing crisis. People including myself don’t really understand what is happening. We already have a housing crisis.. so if the population increases beyond our infrastructures carrying capacity it seems to me many challenges could occur. The population isn’t just immigrants but international students. We have an infrastructure issue. Population is growing faster than we can build houses. The population growth, as I understand it is driven by immigrants. There is tent cities everywhere especially my home city. Whatever is happening, the cost of living has gone up it appears to me. People are struggling. Hmm, I would need to do more research. I think, we do need to look at the pros and cons of immigration in Canada. Don’t let someone, Leo or anyone shame you out of looking at every detail and considering it. But, use feedback to create a more accurate understanding. Questioning if immigration has downsides isn’t always self biased… what sort of thinking is that. Leo can be disappointed this is on his forum, but also Canadians are struggling and confused as to why. Sometimes people need feedback and to have tough conversations. Knowing how complex politics is.. you shouldn’t even be surprised people are having these questions Leo. If you have the solution to the increased costs of living let us know….

  13. This song slaps Feels like I'm standing in a timeless dream Of light mists with pale amber rose Feels like I'm lost in a deep cloud of heavenly scent Touching, discovering you Those days of warm rains come rushing back to me Miles of windless summer nights (Summer nights) Secret moments shared within the heat of the afternoon Out of the stillness, soft spoken words Say it, say it again I love you always forever Near or far, closer together Everywhere I will be with you Everything I will do for you Say it, say it again I love you always forever Near or far, closer together Everywhere I will be with you Everything I will do for you You've got... The most unbelievable blue eyes I've ever seen You've got... Me almost melting away As we lay there Under a blue sky with pure white stars Exotic sweetness A magical time Say it, say it again I love you always forever Near or far, closer together Everywhere I will be with you Everything I will do for you (Say it, say it again) I love you always forever Near or far, closer together Everywhere I will be with you Everything I will do for you Say you'll love and love me forever Never stop, never whatever Near and far and always everywhere and everything Say you'll love and love me forever Never stop, never whatever Near and far and always everywhere and everything Say you'll love and love me forever Never stop, never whatever Near and far and always everywhere and everything Say you'll love and love me forever Never stop, never whatever Near and far and always everywhere and everything I love you always forever Near or far, closer together Everywhere I will be with you Everything I will do for you I love you always forever Near or far, closer together Everywhere I will be with you Everything I will do for you I love you always forever Near or far, closer together Everywhere I will be with you Everything I will do for you I love you always forever

  18. Learning to relax and simply be well could be one of the highest teachings for a human not at the exclusion of healthy human emotions. but, a healthy overall system and mature rational relationship with reality developed by years of observation and truth seeking i believe is part of the idea of.. living from a place of calm, cool, confident, equanimity. This state is both proactive but relaxed and confident yet not knowing. It’s mature yet willing and at times see areas where maturity is lacking. We must be seriously joyful about life I think. Calm, cool, confident. Observing thoughts. Emotions. Stories. Questioning them. Shaping them. Labelling. Unraveling the love through polishing the diamond on the mind. Creating an internal and subjective ontology of the mind. Making it explicit. This calm, cool, naturalness. This contemplative lifestyle, infused with self love and love for others. Develop a recognition of deep beauty and enjoy it fearlessly. Let go, be calm cool, loose and natural, relax muscle and face tension. My mind does not really know what the others around me are thinking. I stop making needless stories and assumptions. I simple treat myself and others well, get to know them, let them reveal themselves over time. Be calm cool and confident. Be warm and friendly. Speak little or a lot. Be yourself Enjoy the natural sounds all around you. Enjoy the guitar playing and fire crackling. is it true? Breathing, relaxing ”I don’t know” I’m here I will observe, and have fun
  19. My development is a process of refining, implementing, growing, developing, self correcting etc, but it is not highly refined. My mind makes too many assumptions. I need to increase my feedback by exposing myself to more and more experience. Much more and in the areas that matter. Relationships, Money making and wealth building, teaching Qigong, etc
  20. i find myself often right in some ways right and wrong in some ways. I am developing a taste for the sting of admitting when I am wrong. When I discover a truth going forward I will work to celebrate and accept the truth or insight of what seems more true that often accompanies realizing how I was wrong. This can be on any subject, however simple or complex and regardless of who or what leads to the realization.
