Event just a little jaunt through the subway in Montreal is a good reminder to take care of your health, mind, finances. There are some horrors who wonder around down there.

I received an email from Bryan Johnson which reminded me of Leo’s invite to the recent homework assignment…. The reason demonizing another perspective automatically means you are operating from a lower perspective is that demonizing another perspective is caused by fear, doubt, anger, which are survival mechanisms of the mind. For various reasons a person would demonize another perspective. Generally, I would assume that I would demonize perspectives that are of physical, emotional, or metaphysical threat to me. That threat largely being change. People demonize other perspectives because: 1. They are trying to survive as a finite ego or self. 2. They don’t have a holistic understanding of the other perspective. If they did they would be using objective/ Being observation and not needy observation . 3. Highest forms of perspective use being observation and looks at the world as if it wasn’t there solely to serve its survival and needs 4. Higher perspectives can attempt to see situations from multiple interpretations, multiple perspectives, 5. Higher perspectives are more peace and wellness oriented as a result of education, personal development, spiritual development, introspection, maturation, truth facing and demonization is seen as an unfavourable framing and set of interpretations which is one of many. It is also soaked in anger, story telling, assumption, projection, fear, doubt, etc 6. When you demonize you often give it as an excuse to not listen to that perspective directly, to truthfully consider the perspective, to feel the discomfort of what truly seeing the perspective may cause you. Taking different perspectives can be painful, scary, and ambivalent. This often leads to the excuse to gossip, story tell, share interpretations to your in group of fellow perspective Demonizers, ie eco chambers of demonization. 7. Truthfully considering a perspective requires pain endurance in some contexts. Demonizing defends against that pain. Demonizing feels good, Truth facing Feels bad. 8. Demonization is factually wrong because you are dealing with another human, not a demon. Humans are simply another version of you. 9. Demonization is usually emotionally driven at its core. Higher perspectives come from a calm, cantered, grounded, patient, clear, sober, integrated, educated and objective mind. 10. Cognitive laziness. To truly consider another perspective requires focused attention, effort, intention to see truthfully, patience…. Demonization is generally reactive, not deeply contemplated, emotional, limited, biased, full of cognitive errors and self deceptions, not seeing the full picture, etc 11. People demonize others because they are simply going along with the herd. Others are doing it and so they join in. 12. People demonize so they can feel right, good, correct, smart, intelligent, justified, clairvoyant, truthful, safe. hmmm

@Jannes I know you are asking Leo this, but I think 95% of happiness comes from sober practices and holistic life building.

Guys, do be careful with this substance! Especially if you are a newbie. It can lead to a lot of weirdness. I took me awhile to integrate the experience maturely. Since then, and I know what it is I can do it more often (which is still rare). Anyway, when you break through to a full realization remember I said hello and thank you.

I have found going to meetups and socializing in general leads me to meeting girls. I am honestly not interested in clubs, so I go my own way. We are often to pent up in our houses and apartments but we just need to go out and meet people. Perhaps, as I grow I will be more comfortable with cold approaching people but, I just don't like it for now. Networking and socializing is my goal this year. I find going to a meetup group, leads to more connections and then more connections and more opportunity for meeting quality girls. Who knows.

That would be so silly. You guys need to stop demonizing pain and suffering. Embrace that reality is made up of Yin and Yang and both are to be experienced in human life. With the recognition that happiness is not unconditioned, study the conditions required for human happiness and work long and hard to achieve it. That being said, there is relative wiggle room and you can be less conditioned with your happiness. Just, don't expect it to be an absolute.

@emil1234 Vape pens are very safe and convenient. Be careful with tripping to regularly especially in the beginning as it can lead to user error, and even instability that can negatively effect other areas of your life. It's important to do a holistic approach to this work with the frame work of Integral Meta Theory imo for mature integration of the higher state. It is an enlightenment experience and a highly consistent tool for the experience.

There is a kernal of truth in them, but focus on your sphere of control. You won't magically change politics.

@Butters Because Politics shapes everything in human society. You are in a group of humans. Being able to see reality clearly should involve a holistic perspective. You may value reading Ken Wilber's Towards A Radical Wholeness. Waking up is only one aspect of human development. Understanding politics is a form of growing up.

Imagine if in order to understand a higher perspective you would have to go to school for 4 years. Demonizing is way easier.

Leo is learning all the time. I think his views did change.

If you objectively review someone actions from a calm, centred place and find them cheating, lying, defrauding, killing, stealing, raping, destroying, etc… maybe that’s a devil? But that isn’t demonizing?

One time I shot a lightning bolt out of my hand and knocked over a garbage can…
