Last night I had a dream I was standing by a lake. There was a willow tree and a dead alligator hanging from one of it's branches head from its tail. There was someone standing near the alligator (I think it was my aunt) and someone standing off to the side closer to the lake. Then all of a sudden the alligator began to rot rapidly and all its guts and skin fell to the ground. There was parts of the skeleton and these rotten apples remaining. Then they fell down and burned holes into my aunt and she began to rot and died. It was very detailed and shocking... I've been having strange and vivid dreams all week Anyone think they know what these symbols could mean?

I don't feel I have enough information to really understand what you are working through. But, I think speaking to a professional who will keep your problems to themselves and can help you professionally is a good idea. You don't need to be honest with anyone other than yourself though. You can keep secrets. You are not your past.

… humans are nature and our ancestors used to mate around sexual maturity… Pedophilia it does exist in nature obviously… I think we simply need to be willing to look at sex in generally in a mature non dogmatic way and then do what works. Some animals reach physical maturity in like a year or two so it’s not a problem for them. Keep children safe, and allow men and women to grow up in a way they can accept themselves and keep others safe. Demonizing natural biological processes and animal nature seems stupid to me. It clearly does little to keep anyone safe. The best thing to do is to remove shame around sex in general and educate people about consent, emotional mastery, human biology and our ancestors sexual history and to allow people to feel comfortable…. It’s gross I know. But, by hiding these things and demonizing them it creates hell on earth when really… when it comes to sex humans are 99% full of shit.

No… we need to handle this because there’s a global issue with child sex trafficking, children getting Molested by people in their family/ community… also… a rather large percent of men at least have some pedophilic interest and carry a lot of fear, guilt and shame with that even if they never act on it and have normal healthy sex lives. I think it’s a rather large issue. People carry this fantasy that people aren’t attracted to children meanwhile I know so many people who’ve been molested… it’s pretty shocking how little we understand humans.

Instead of spirituality focus on self esteem, mental health, self awareness and developing healthy mental models and systems for living… Start making a plan, building skills etc some people really benefit from medication so don’t worry about that. a good book would be The Code Of The Extraordinary Mind by Vishen Lakiani. your challenges will be unique to you but you can create something amazing over the next 10 years.

I cringe when I see these types of posts (short, deep existential preachy) I will try not to post sarcastic comments in the future but sometimes I feel playful. I like to see threads with more substance.

@Preety_India Don't expect universal truths in social sciences. But, be open to both finding it, and seeing it not there. The world is full of nuances. How my parents treated me and each other has made intimacy very challenging and I know this to be true for many people. Reading psychologists like David Richo, Authors like Robert Greene and listening and reading many other psyhologists and social scientists show this is a very real problem in our culture. Intimacy and relationships is a deep skill and emotional mastery. If your parents are dysfunctional... We learn a lot about trust, communication, role playing, love, touch, boundaries, acceptance, allowance, sex, money, social dynamics, etc from our parents. If they lack health and skill, we often don't have other role models to teach us otherwise. Well good luck. Maybe you just know lucky people. People learn how to relate through there parents and its a pretty big deal, and well researched among psychologists. Also, we tend to make assumptions about other peoples relationships.

@Swarnim Okay. From my reading and studies the ego is both is the personality and the sensation of self which is relative and there are many in each of us. I've experienced a total collapse of everything into what I believe is the Godhead. There was still something there that 'was'. Sort of an all loving infinite potential 'nothing'. Everything Now. I've had this experience of just the experience. But, I still need to contemplate this deeper. I think there is a selfless witness which is no one. There is a Raw experience beyond the witness. I wonder, how do you define witness? I know I am not wording myself well ahah

I will watch shortly but, the experiencer isn't the ego right? The experiencer is no self and the ego is the accumulations and survival patterns? What is the difference from the 'experiencer' and raw direct experience and being?

I personally thought studying accounting and business first is the best thing. These IMO… accounting, administration, etc and having a skill set in them where you have developed a feel for accuracy and consistency, problem solving etc and how a business functions to be so important as the foundation for your life purpose. Once you have the structural skill set developed you can then use it to build anything really I think. Anyone making a consistent impact on the world is using a business foundation. Understanding accounting is also such an important skill for many reasons.

Shit, that’s complicated… I mean, as long as you don’t develop some kind of power dynamic or something… if it’s just sex it’s just sex I think.
