Mastery is just a book to teach you to pursue mastery in life. It's not a system. Mastery, pursue it. That's the idea of that book. It makes no sense to me you are "choosing between books". Read one, learn from it. Apply it in life. Read another that teaches you other ideas you can use along side the other books and apply that. Reading books generally isn't... Reading one, then if I read another I delete the previous book. They all provide useful ideas that build you tapestry of understanding life.

@Willie Not at all… traumas generally weaken people and make them neurotic. But, a challenging life experience that isn’t traumatic can be strengthening.

A lot of guys want a relationship too. Personally, I would rather a deep relationship than be doing pickup. I’m only interested in the skill set as a means to an end.

Impatience is a cause of a lot of my suffering. Work to be done. Suffering is part of the gig.

Look, I love Owen and I think he has a lot to offer. He is also this little Ginger autistic guy. He isn’t a conscious dating coach. I’ve come across some other great coaches recently that I think have much healthier narratives than him. Be careful of getting stuck in these guys framing. Owen doesn’t have a great history of a bunch of healthy relationships. Though, again he has a lot to offer.

I am patient, intelligent and capable. I have the ability and the tools to bounce back from, grow and achieve my goals in life. Sometimes, recently there is this deep pain. Worrying if I’m on a good path or not. Looking at shiny objects like the music career of Arcadefire and feeling really angry I don’t know how to get that or if I can. I’m gonna be mindful and grow through this.
